Today's technology enables consumers to trade millions of dollars, conduct online banking, access entertainment, and do countless other activities at the click of a button. Online social networks (OSN) have become a cultural phenomenon that allows for individualistic consumerism. Consumers are increasingly utilizing OSN to share ideas, build communities, and contact fellow consumers who are similar to themselves. The relevance of online communities to the music is immense especially because musicians are now using social media to build global audiences. Not only is information about music and performance disseminated online, but musical commodities are sold and traded online. Online music communities allow consumers to elect and create new identities online through the purchase of subcultural commodities. Given the growing economic importance of online music communities it is important to get a holistic view of subcultural communities online. This study utilized content analysis of online music community websites using the Netnography methodology as developed by Kozinet for data collection to analyze consumers' purchasing and consumption behavior of subcultural commodities online as related to the formation of subcultural identities. Findings showed that subcultural items are predominantly purchased online, especially digital music, and there is a need for more custom craft items. The authors presented a new conceptual taxonomy of online subcultural consumer classifications based on online behavior patterns.

The biological and pathological states of lung, spleen, liver and kidneys are determined by nature and emotion of sorrow, anger, joy and pleasure, It is considered that the music, besides medicine or acupuncture, can be a way of treating as a therapeutics for the treatment of Sasangin's diseases. This study is to find out a way of music therapy for the treatment of Sasangin's diseases. The ways of music therapy in each constitution based on 'the great and small of Viscera and Bowels' and 'the exhale and inhale, the drawing in and sending out' are as follows: 1. In case of Soeumin, a skip going up melodic progression, dotted rhythm and the major triad harmonic progression are recommended to improve the Qi of warm Yang. 2. In case of Soyangin, in regular sequence down melodic progression, a sixteenth note and the minor triad harmonic progression are recommended to improve the Qi of cool Yin. 3. In case of Taeumin, in regular sequence going up melodic progression, a sixteenth note and the bright and active the major triad harmonic progression are recommended to improve the Qi of dispersing exhale. 4. In case of Taeyangin, a skip down melodic progression, a quarter note and a diminished triad harmonic progression are recommended to improve the Qi of gathering inhale.

Effects of the music and white noise on recovery of the autonomic and cortical responses evoked by aversive visual stimulation were analyzed in 20 subjects. It was suggested that the music is able to exert modulatory influence on the physiological activity resulted from exposure to unpleasant IAPS based stimuli. Spectral power of DDG, heart rate(HR)respiration rate (RSR) and electrodermal activity(EDA)were recorded and analyzed for each experimental condition. It was observed HR and RSR deceleration, increased EDA and electrocortical activation expressed in decreased alpha power and increase of delta activity ao occipital and frontal areas. Obtained results suggest that audutory stimulation both with pleasant and sad music lead to restoration of pre-stimulation activation levels of most physiological parameters during listenning to music and in post-stimulation period. White noise evoked short-term physiological responses typical for orienting reaction and quite distinct from changes produced by music. Available data to differentiate effeces among pleasant and sad music, due toqualitative similarities of physilolgical patterns, but suppert an assumption that music is capable to facilitate the process of recovery of physilolgical responses elicited by visual stimulation of negative valence, thus positively modulate post-stress state.

Baroque music was the birth and growth era of modern music, but it was not composed for movies. Baroque music, however, is a feature that is inserted into the movies in many different forms, leading to the overall mood and narrative, and the ability to express the characters' feeling and inner word. Therefore, in this study, five Baroque music works, including the main theme song 'Vivaldi Cantata RV.684' in the movie , are produced, and analyzed through tonal, tempo, dynamics, musical notes, tones, rhythms, musical instrument, and genre. Through analysis, we will study what epic functions and roles Baroque music plays in movies.

Purpose: This research explores the development of music business distribution channels to attract potential customers based on the current and prior literature. As a result, the research will provide solutions for practitioners in the music distribution channel how they create effective channel in new industry phase which has experienced significant changes due to technological advancement and consumer behavior. Research design, data, and methodology: To obtain textual data in the literature storage, the author conducted content analysis. Even though there are numerous textual resources, selecting only high-quality text data that is only peer-reviewed journal articles and books consistently indicate a high degree of reliability and validity to keep the advantage form content analysis approach. Results: The present study figured out that there are five strategies to attract potential consumers in the music distribution channel, such as (1) 'Marketing Mix', (2) 'Streaming Platforms and Online Music Stores', (3) 'Brick and Mortar Stores and Concerts, and Events', (4) 'Platforms Exclusives and Limited-Edition Merchandise', and 'Partnerships and collaborations. Conclusions: In sum, the practitioners need to consider include building relationships with the fans, studying and understanding their target market, utilizing multiple available distribution channels, embracing new technologies, and analyzing the effectiveness of the adopted distribution channels.

Digital Music Industry of Korea has had its dominance over existing Record-based Music Industry since the year 2000 influencing the entire music industry. This implies the perspective for this emerging field by defining various factors based on environmental analysis. SWOT analysis, mostly used for setting up the marketing strategy is very useful analytic tool for this manner. Western singers voice have been studied in music science since the early 20th century. However, Korean traditional singers voice have not yet been studied scientifically. This study is to find the physiological and acoustic characteristics of Pansori singers voices. Western singers participated for comparative purposes. Ten western singers and ten Pansori singers participated in this study. The subjects spoke and sung seven simple vowels /a, e, i, o, u, c, w/. An analysis of Glottal image was done by Scope View and acoustic characteristics of speech and singing voice were analyzed by CSL. The results are as follows: (1) Glottal gestures of Pansori singers showed asymmetric vocal folds. (2) Singing vowel formants of Pansori singers showed breathiness based on Spectrogram. (3) Music formant of western singers appeared in around 3kHz area, however, Pansori singers formant appeared in low frequency area. Modulation of vibrato showed 6 frequency per sec in case of western singers. Pansori singers showed no deep modulation of vibrato on spectrogram.

The U.S. music market is a lucrative market for many foreign musicians due to its sheer size and it continues to play a leading role in the world music industry. However, it is a challenge to gain entry into that market and an even greater challenge to achieve success and fame within it. In fact, changes in the media paradigm have allowed for musicians to be able to independently produce their own songs and promote them globally. Some scholars address that the media paradigm shifting from traditional outlets to new outlets gives a chance to bypass traditional gatekeepers when entering the U.S. music market. Based on this scenario, this article examined two songs from Korean singer, Psy: Gangnam Style and Gentleman as a single case study. Utilizing Google Trends as a source of information, this study examined how each song's recognition among American music fans was different based on radio spins on Top 40 commercial radio stations. This article sheds new light on radio, which has been neglected due to the media paradigm shift, and presents how radio programmers are part of a complicated gatekeeping process which ultimately decides which songs are to gain popularity.

Music recordings have been digitalized such that huge size of music database is available to the public. Thus, the automatic classification system of music genres is required to effectively manage the growing music database. Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC) is a popular feature vector for genre classification. In this paper, the combined super-vector with Decorrelated Filter Bank (DFB) and Octave-based Spectral Contrast (OSC) using texture windows is processed by Support Vector Machine (SVM) for genre classification. Even with the lower order of the feature vector, the proposed super-vector produces 4.2 % improved classification accuracy compared with the conventional Marsyas system.

This study is to examine how architecture is affected by music through practical examples of VEX house that designed based on music Vexations to suggest for engraftment potential and application of musical elements to architectural design based on the correlation between music and architecture. VEX house has been transformed with repetition and musical elements such as loops, erratic scales and harmonies. Also, apart from VEX house, the album 'Vex' was applied from architecture to music. That is, those are taking into account the results of the exchanges of different arts. Through the application of various musical elements in the construction process of the building, the potential of the new aesthetics of the building is considered.
