The Impact of Brand's Backstage Information Disclosure via Social Media Contents on Consumer Responses: Adoption of Dramaturgical Theory (브랜디드 콘텐츠를 통한 브랜드 무대후면영역(backstage) 정보 노출이 소비자 반응에 미치는 영향: 연극적 접근이론의 적용)

  • One of the most latest trends in today's marketing practice is to create branded contents for interacting with online consumers. Marketers are increasingly adopting behind-the-scene contents which disclose a brand's backstage information in their contents marketing efforts. The current study conceptualizes this behind-the-scene storytelling based on dramaturgical theory and investigates its impacts on consumer responses. The study also examines how consumers advertising skepticism level would influence on the evaluation of branded contents. In addition, the moderating role of advertising skepticism in evaluating brand's backstage information is investigated. The findings suggests that consumers who are exposed to brand's backstage indicate greater information attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intention than those who are not exposed to brand's backstage. Also consumers who have lower advertising skepticism evaluated branded contents more positively than high ad skepticism consumers. Lastly, the moderating role of advertising skepticism on the impact of brand's backstage disclosure is reported.

  • This research started from hypothesizing that people hesitate to use a fashion sharing economy service due to the consumers' concerns or fears about contagion. The study explores how backstage information can affect consumers' responses to this service, especially their perceived risk and transparency. An online experiment was conducted to test the research questions through Amazon MTurk. The data of 351 participants in total were analyzed. The results show that backstage information, presenting hidden information with images of various product journeys, from packaging to return and laundry, had a positive effect on transparency as well as perceived risk. Both transparency and perceived risk positively affected the service's perceived honesty, and honesty also positively affected consumer engagement. Through the findings that providing backstage information had a positive effect on perceived risk, but the risk had a positive effect on perceived honesty, we can expect the reaction to the information itself to possibly be negative. However, consumers can consider the service as honest at least, which opens the possibility of expecting positive consumer attitudes or responses in a market in the near future.

  • As far as we handle industrial products, the painting process is prerequisite; and the preparatory treatment of materials is, therefore, indispensable to the above process. However, it is a matter for regret that people are liable to overlook the importance the treatment of materials at the preparatory stage, giving themselves up to the surface of finished goods. The preparatory treatment of materials is like backstage personnel (operations) in dramatic performance; the performance cannot be successful without the support of backstage operations in surface treatment. The various methods which are being applied widely as preparatory treatment are as follow: (1) the method by using hand tools such as grinders, etc. (2) the method with blasting (3) the method with chemical coating (4) the method by getting rid of fatty substance with organic solvent The methods No. 1 and No. 2 are in use mainly for larger structures, and those No. 3 and No. 4, either singly or combined, are applied for mass-produced, smaller items (acid cleaning is applied for getting rid of rust, as the case may be). The method No. 3 is used mainly as anti-rust by forming zinc phosphate film on the surface of steel plate or enhancing the bonding power of paints by taking advantage of irregular surfaces of films. Recently are no the market steel plates treated directly with film-coating by omitting the process No. 3. Furthermore, those goods painted include not only nonferrous goods but plastics and elastomer. The present discourse describes the cleaning process by using the steam of organic acid, picked up from among No. 4, and its equipment applied.

A Study on the Creation of Hybrid Bibliographic Records (국내 하이브리드 서지레코드 생성 방안에 관한 연구)

  • This study was to suggest the creation of hybrid bibliographic records in complicated bibliographic environment applying both AACR2 and RDA for uniform display and correct search. The literature reviews and case studies were used as the research methods. In case studies, Kent State University, University of Houston as the libraries, and Backstage Library Works as algorithm converting to hybrid records were surveyed. For creating the hybrid records, it was needed to differentiate hybrid records and born RDA records, to keep the data that appeared in 250 tag without spelling out edition data, to maintain 260 tag instead of converting 260 tag to 264 tag, and last to design mapping table for converting GMD to CMC. This study would suggest uniform display and search through hybridization of bibliographic records of foreign resources.

  • FMEA (failure mode and effect analysis)is a widely used technique to assess or to improve reliability of product not only at early stage of design and development, but at the process and service phase during the product life cycle. In designing a service system, this study proposes a fuzzy service FMEA with the service blueprints as a tool which describes customer actions, onstage contact employees actions, backstage contact employees actions, support processes, and physical evidences, in order to analyse and inform service delivery system design. We fuzzified only two risk factors, occurrence and severity, to more effectively assess the potential failure modes in service. Proposed fuzzy risk grades are applied to Gaussian membership function, defuzzified into Fuzzy Inference System, and eventually identified the ranks on the potential fail points.

Perceived Authenticity through Short Video: Audience Perceptions of Emerging Independent Fashion Designers Self-Presentations

  • The prevalence of We-Media short videos has attracted emerging independent fashion designers (EIFD), a new force in the fashion industry directing their brand promotion to We-Media for amassing online followers. However, compared to famous content generators, EIFDs' creative, design-based visual appeal has not provided them with the significant edge. The former's success is admittedly supported by the platform backstage algorithm. Yet, the content is the cornerstone for building relationship between the sender and the reception. The authentic perception of the content is one of the basic appeals for which the audience chooses to follow the source. Therefore, with the EIFD short video as the research content, this study is established from the audience's perspective to understand the different dimensions of their authentic perceptions of EIFDs short video. The study was conducted mainly in the form of the Q method. The collection of 52 Q samples were realized through the Focus Group Interview and literature review on multidimensional authenticity. Thirty-six subjects participated in the sorting of the Q-sets. Finally, four dimensions of audience authenticity perceptions of EIFDs were derived: 'ingenuity', 'relevant', 'transparent', and 'experiential'. The corresponding short video content design strategies are suggested for effective communication of EIFDs and their personal brands.

  • '42nd Broadway' is one of the most authentic, genuine and renowned musical pieces among the numerous musicals. By approaching every element in the Backstage from the perspective of an actor who is apart of the show, not a professional photographer, rather than an the usual objects on the Front Stage which is imprinted in the minds of the ordinary people through the media or the numerous flyers sent from the theaters, intented to describe the life as it is in the Back Stage by examining various elements such as the sets or make-up rooms, rather than the momentary, technically staged imageries. In the industrial aspect as well, the implication of this documentary would be that a more realistic set of photography was provided instead of the existing ones that usually focused on the'staged,' or 'guarded' images of the musical as shown in the promotional materials or the Front Stage still cuts.

A Study on the Composition of the Circulation and Space in Sydney Opera House (시드니오페라하우스의 동선체계 및 공간구성 연구)

  • The Sydney Opera House is built on a peninsula of rock that juts out into Sydney Harbor. The site was once a landing place for ships. Utzon, Architect, designed the theatres for the Opera House to fit the shape. The two theatres were placed side by side so that they both had extensive harbor views. The Sydney Opera House is designed the foyers to take full advantage of these sights. Because the building would be seen from all sides, even from above, it was to be a piece of sculpture. The outside was as important as the inside. The audience enters from behind the stage and walks around to the foyers overlooking the harbour. The wing and backstage areas are small because of the way the foyers wrap around the theatre. The stage is made up of large platform lifts which provide the vertical movement for changing scenery. The sets come up from the workshops below stage. The flytower fits under the largest roof shell and doesn't break the skyline. The important elements are the podium, the shells and the reminders. The podium, the huge monolithic concrete structure, contains hundreds of rooms and nearly all the technical equipment. The podium is clad with pink granite slabs and seen from the water. This design eliminated a maze of fire escape stairs and, at the same time, gave people a wonderful view of the harbour. The egg shell is remarkably strong and express the form as the symbol of the site.

  • Mobility as a Service is a service conception to achieve the intelligent transportation system. Its aims to improve the travel experience. In one platform, it connects various transportation modes to offer service and users only need to pay in one time for the whole travel. But the single MaaS platform easily faces the problems such as low user traffic, low retention rate and the access to markets of the this service is still unfound. From the perspective of bicycle-sharing, this research makes the MaaS concept into bicycle-sharing to build a better service model. The bicycle-sharing combine with the MaaS concept is innovative in business model, travel model and service architecture. In addition, this research also tests users' expectations for service model. The research shows that MaaS-based bicycle-sharing could offer flexible and convenient travel experience in the aspects of combined transportation, travel, transfer and payment, and it also makes it possible to make travel services according to need, and sustainable transport.

  • Small and medium-sized companies lack countermeasures to secure the safety of a information system. In this circumstance, they have difficulties regarding the damage to their images and legal losses, when the information is leaked. This paper examines the information leakage of the system and hacking methods including APT attacks. Especially, APT attack, Advanced Persistent Threats, means that a hacker sneaks into a target and has a latency period of time and skims all the information related to the target, and acts in the backstage and neutralize the security services without leaving traces. Because he attacks the target covering up his traces not to reveal them, the victim remains unnoticed, which increases the damage. This study examines attack methods and the process of them and seeks a countermeasure.
