Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the job stress factors of mobile communication network construction workers using survey based on 'Job stress factors evaluation tool for Koreans' that was developed by KOSHA in 2003. Background: Due to the rapid growth of penetration rate of smartphone, the necessity of LTE service changing from 3G network was brought up. The demand of LTE network construction in a short period of time leads to the aggravation of the job stress of mobile communication network construction workers. Method: Two hundred and fifty workers who were in the mobile communication network industry participated in this study, and among them 206 responses were analyzed for this study due to the unreliability and insincerity of responses. The eight job stress factors which are physical environment, job demand, job autonomy, relation conflict, job instability, organizational system, inadequate compensation, workplace culture were analyzed. Results: The job stress factors of mobile communication network construction workers were compared to those of other industry workers, and other work related characteristics were analyzed. The results showed that the stress level of a physical environment and job requirement were relatively higher than those of manufacturing industry workers, meaning that mobile communication network construction workers have rough working conditions and increased amount of work due to the demand of LTE network construction. The stress level of physical environment for outdoor job workers was relatively higher than that of indoor job workers. With the analytical result for level of job satisfaction, significant difference was observed (p <0.05) with every factor, and the job stress was found the highest with those not satisfied with every factor Conclusion: From the results of this study, the work loss due to the job stress could be prevented, and accurate stress factors could be removed at the workplace. Application: The results of this study may not represent the whole mobile network construction workers, the effort for job stress management is needed to improve the work efficiency and the workers' quality of life.
Background: Scapular posterior tilt (SPT) is important in the prevention of abnormal scapular movement and pain during elevation of the arm. However, previous studies have overlooked increased upper trapezius (UT) muscle activity interrupting the normal force couple of scapular motion and compensation of levator scapulae (LS) muscle activated simultaneously with UT during SPT exercise. Objects: The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of modified SPT with depression exercise versus SPT exercise on serratus anterior (SA), lower trapezius (LT), UT, and LS muscle activities and the clavicular tilt angle, in subjects with rounded shoulder posture (RSP) and myofascial pain in the UT muscle region. Methods: Eighteen subjects with RSP were recruited and randomly allocated to 2 groups; 9 in the SPT group and 9 in the SPT with depression group. All subjects met the specific RSP criteria and had myofascial pain of UT region. Depending on the allocated group, subjects performed the assigned SPT exercise and EMG data were recorded during the each exercise. Clavicular tilt angle was defined as the angle between the line joining the medial and lateral end of the clavicle and a horizontal line. Results: The SA muscle activity was significantly greater in SPT with depression than with SPT exercise (p<.05). The UT, LS muscle activity and the clavicular tilt angle was significantly lower in SPT with depression than with SPT exercise (p<.05). Conclusion: These findings were insightful because the potential risk of pain from overactivation of the UT and LS was considered, in contrast with SPT exercise. SPT with depression exercise can be implemented as an effective method to facilitate scapular muscle activity for stability and to prevent myofascial pain in the neck and shoulder.

The purposes of this study are to explain the background and significance of the 'Farmers' upstairs'(農民上樓) phenomenon which has been currently promoted as part of the "New Socialist Countryside Construction" in contemporary China, and its positive and negative aspects, and analyze the limitations of 'Farmers' upstairs'phenomenon. 'Farmers' upstairs'means the building of concentrated farmhouses by means of reconstruction of scattered farmhouses here and there, simultaneously by installing cultural, social welfare, and environmental facilities where rural farmer also could enjoy the convenience of urban living. It brings, however, the positive effects such as the improvement of living conditions of rural farmers, the simultaneously expanding of urban construction land and agricultural land, and the new influx of population from urban areas, whiles the negative effectives such as the forced demolition of farmhouses by governments or real estate developers with very lower compensation costs for the demolition of farmhouses, the gap from the standard of living, and above all, the inconvenience caused by the living in a multi-stories building in the rural villages. As a result, it is pointed out that the ongoing 'Farmers' upstairs', promoted as a kind of rural movement beyond a phenomenon, has similarities with the Rural Cooperative Movement(農村合作化運動) of Mao Zedong era(1953-61), namely the People's Commune Movement(人民公社運動) finally failed.
Background: Mandibular motion tracking system (ManMoS) has been developed for orthognathic surgery. This article aimed to introduce the ManMoS and to examine the accuracy of this system. Methods: Skeletal and dental models are reconstructed in a virtual space from the DICOM data of three-dimensional computed tomography (3D-CT) recording and the STL data of 3D scanning, respectively. The ManMoS uniquely integrates the virtual dento-skeletal model with the real motion of the dental cast mounted on the simulator, using the reference splint. Positional change of the dental cast is tracked by using the 3D motion tracking equipment and reflects on the jaw position of the virtual model in real time, generating the mixed-reality surgical simulation. ManMoS was applied for two clinical cases having a facial asymmetry. In order to assess the accuracy of the ManMoS, the positional change of the lower dental arch was compared between the virtual and real models. Results: With the measurement data of the real lower dental cast as a reference, measurement error for the whole simulation system was less than 0.32 mm. In ManMoS, the skeletal and dental asymmetries were adequately diagnosed in three dimensions. Jaw repositioning was simulated with priority given to the skeletal correction rather than the occlusal correction. In two cases, facial asymmetry was successfully improved while a normal occlusal relationship was reconstructed. Positional change measured in the virtual model did not differ significantly from that in the real model. Conclusions: It was suggested that the accuracy of the ManMoS was good enough for a clinical use. This surgical simulation system appears to meet clinical demands well and is an important facilitator of communication between orthodontists and surgeons.

Background and Objectives : This study aims to conduct post-voice therapy to patients with unilateral vocal fold paralysis for vocal improvement, motility recovery and analyze the results. Materials and Methods : Voice therapy was conducted to 13 patients who had shown response to voice therapy amongst 98 patients diagnosed with unilateral vocal fold paralysis. In order to be able compare before and after perceptual, acoustic and aerodynamic evaluations were conducted after voice therapy. Also, by using dysphagia checklist, we have verified whether if the patient had dysphagia prior to voice therapy. The therapy was conducted by improving the larynx movement and glottal contact, whilst removing hypertension of the supraglottic. Results : All 13 patients who underwent voice therapy had shown improvements that are statistically significant from 4 scales excluding the S scale from auditory perception evaluation (p<0.05), with enhanced glottal contact. In acoustic evaluation, Jitter, Shimmer and NHR had shown significant improvement after voice therapy. MPT was also notably improved among aerodynamical evaluation (p<0.001). All 11 patients had with dysphagia prior to voice therapy reported to have improved swallowing functions. Conclusion : Application of adequate voice therapy to patients with unilateral vocal fold paralysis, is an effective method that might be employed in the initial phase. Especially, the voice therapy proposed in this study is expected to be useful for patients in hypertension status due to secondary compensation after initial paralysis, since it focuses on improving vocal symptoms in a calm state with the supraglottis sufficiently relaxed. Also, the therapy is expected to be effective for improving swallowing functions.
The aim of this paper is to present the methodology for hand tracking and hand gesture recognition. The detected hand and gesture can be used to implement the non-contact mouse. We had developed a MP3 player using this technology controlling the computer instead of mouse. In this algorithm, we first do a pre-processing to every frame which including lighting compensation and background filtration to reducing the adverse impact on correctness of hand tracking and hand gesture recognition. Secondly, YCbCr skin-color likelihood algorithm is used to detecting the hand area. Then, we used Continuously Adaptive Mean Shift (CAMSHIFT) algorithm to tracking hand. As the formula-based region of interest is square, the hand is closer to rectangular. We have improved the formula of the search window to get a much suitable search window for hand. And then, Support Vector Machines (SVM) algorithm is used for hand gesture recognition. For training the system, we collected 1500 hand gesture pictures of 5 hand gestures. Finally we have performed extensive experiment on a Windows XP system to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed scheme. The hand tracking correct rate is 96% and the hand gestures average correct rate is 95%.
In this paper, we propose the react-time car license plate recognition algorithm using intensity variation and geometric pattern vector. Generally, difference of car license plate region between character and background is more noticeable than other regions. And also, car license plate region usually shows high density values as well as constant intensity variations. Based on these characteristics, we first extract car license plate region using intensity variations. Secondly, lightness compensation process is performed on the considerably dark and brightness input images to acquire constant extraction efficiency. In the proposed recognition step, we first pre-process noise reduction and thinning steps. And also, we use geometric pattern vector to extract features which independent on the size, translation, and rotation of input values. In the experimental results, the proposed method shows better computation times than conventional circular pattern vector and better extraction results regardless of irregular environment lighting conditions as well as noise, size, and location of plate.
This study is to present 'game-storytelling' is based on 'hero-storytelling' and to transform the basic pattern which is extracted from 'heroic-storytelling' so that it can be applied to 'game-storytelling'. 'Game-storytelling' has the similar foundation as 'heroic storytelling'. It begins with an extraordinary birth, introduction to the strange world, exploration, adventure, birth of a hero and finally return of a hero. The most distinctive feature of stages is the conquest of outer and internal limitation. Each stage goes through the process of compensation and outer, internal acknowledgements. These processes are the structural core of game storytelling. Generally, stage 1 to 5 includes background stories, stage 6 to 9 are the progress of game, and stage 10 to 12 are the transformation of game with rules and genre.
Background: The objective of this study is to identify high-risk groups for industrial accidents by setting up 2003 as the base year and conducting an in-depth analysis of the trends of major industrial accident indexes the index of industrial accident rate, the index of occupational injury rate, the index of occupational illness and disease rate per 10,000 people, and the index of occupational injury fatality rate per 10,000 people for the past 10 years. Methods: This study selected industrial accident victims, who died or received more than 4 days of medical care benefits, due to occupational accidents and diseases occurring at workplaces, subject to the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Act, as the study population. Results: According to the trends of four major indexes by workplace characteristics, the whole industry has shown a decreasing tendency in all four major indexes since the base year (2003); as of 2012, the index of industrial accident rate was 67, while the index of occupational injury fatality rate per 10,000 people was 59. Conclusion: The manufacturing industry, age over 50 years and workplaces with more than 50 employees showed a high severity level of occupational accidents. Male workers showed a higher severity level of occupational accidents than female workers. The employment period of < 3 years and newly hired workers with a relatively shorter working period are likely to have more occupational accidents than others. Overall, an industrial accident prevention policy must be established by concentrating all available resources and capacities of these high-risk groups.

Recently, we have remarkable developments in intelligent robot systems. The remarkable features of intelligent robot are that it can track user and is able to doface recognition, which is vital for many surveillance-based systems. The advantage of face recognition compared with other biometrics recognition is that coerciveness and contact that usually exist when we acquire characteristics do not exist in face recognition. However, the accuracy of face recognition is lower than other biometric recognition due to the decreasing in dimension from image acquisition step and various changes associated with face pose and background. There are many factors that deteriorate performance of face recognition such as thedistance from camera to the face, changes in lighting, pose change, and change of facial expression. In this paper, we implement a new sliding active camera system to prevent various pose variation that influence face recognition performance andacquired frontal face images using PCA and HMM method to improve the face recognition. This proposed face recognition algorithm can be used for intelligent surveillance system and mobile robot system.
