  • (1-x-y)Pb($Zn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-Ba(Zn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-PbTiO_3(0.12{\leq}x{\leq}0.21, 0.24{\leq}y{\leq}0.33$) ternary compound ceramics were fabricated by the mixed oxide method. The sintering temperature and time were 1050 [$^{\circ}C$], 2[hr]. Morphotropic phase boundary region was chosen for the composition. 0.55 PZN-0.21 BZN-0.24 PT specimen had the highest value of relative dielectric constants, 5353. The curie temperature of specimens were increased linearly with PT content. Near the morphotropic phase boundary, electro-mechanical coupoling factor and mechanical quality factor of the specimens had the highest values.

Superconductor Preparation by use of YBa2Cu3Ox powder and BaPbO3 Additive (YBa2Cu3Ox 분말과 첨가제 BaPbO3를 이용한 초전도체 제작)

  • In this paper, as an attempt to improve the preparation conditions of $YBa_2Cu_3Ox$ superconducting bulk samples, the properties of $YBa_2Cu_3Ox$ superconductor depending on the particle size of YBCO powder and $BaPbO_3$ as an additive have been investigated, and a study on the effects of additive to the density, grain alignment, and porosity of samples that affect the critical current of superconductor has been performed. In order to prepare superconductor, $YBa_2Cu_3Ox$ powder synthesized by sol-gel method, showing a size distribution of 0.2~1 ${\mu}m$ was used. The $BaPbO_3$ added to promote grain growth and to decrease porosities and weak links between grain boundaries of $YBa_2Cu_3Ox$ superconductors. In the samples prepared by sol-gel synthesized powder with 10, 20, and 30 wt% conductive $BaPbO_3$ additives, the sample with 20 wt% $BaPbO_3$ obtained the highest critical current of 4.74 A, showing 20 wt% higher critical current than that with solid state synthesized powder.

  • The crystal structures and the bonding characteristics in $(Ba_xPb_{1-x})TiO_3$ have been investigated by X-ray diffraction analysis and infrared spectrophotometry. As $Ba^{2+}$ ion in $BaTiO_3$ were substituted by $Pb^{2+}$ ion, the structures were changed to orthorhombic from tetragonal, and also the covalent character in Ti-O bond increased, and then the dielectric constants decreased gradually. In the mixed oxide containing $Pb^{2+}$ ion more than 50%, the change-transfer energy of titanium ion increased.

  • The microwave dielectric properties of $[(Pb_{1-x}Ba_{x})_{1/2}La_{1/2}](Mg_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_{3}$ ceramics were investigated. When $[(Pb_{0.9}Ba_{0.1})_{1/2}La_{1/2}](Mg_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_{3}$ ceramics were sintered at $1250^{\circ}C$ and $1350^{\circ}C$ for 2hr, the microwave dielectric properties were obtained $\varepsilon_{r}=64\sim80$, $Q{\times}f=11,800\sim18,000$. As a result, $[(Pb_{0.9}Ba_{0.1})_{1/2}La_{1/2}](Mg_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_{3}$ having $\varepsilon_{r}=80$, $Q{\times}f=11,800$ (at 4 GHz) was developed.

  • The microwave dielectric properties of [(Pb$_{1-x}$ Ba$_{x}$)$_{1}$2/La$_{1}$2/](Mg$_{1}$2/Nb$_{1}$2/)O$_3$ ceramics were investigated. When [(Pb$_{0.9}$Ba$_{0.1}$)$_{1}$2/La$_{1}$2/](Mg$_{1}$2/Nb$_{1}$2/)O$_3$ ceramics were sintered at 125$0^{\circ}C$ and 135$0^{\circ}C$ for 2hr, the microwave dielectric properties were obtained $\varepsilon$$_{r}$=64~80, Qxf=11,800~18,000. As a result, [(Pb$_{0.9}$Ba$_{0.1}$)$_{1}$2/La$_{1}$2/](Mg$_{1}$2/Nb$_{1}$2/)O$_3$ having $\varepsilon$$_{r}$=80, Qxf=11,800 (at 4 GHz) was developed.ed.eveloped.ed.

  • 본 연구에서는 xPb(Zn$_{1}$3/Nb$_{2}$3/)O$_{3}$-yBa(Zn$_{1}$3/Nb$_{2}$3/)O$_{3}$-zPbTiO(0.50.leq.x.leq.0.60, 0.10.leq.y.leq.0.20, 0.20.leq.z.leq.0.40)세라믹을 1050.deg.C에서 2시간동안 유지시켜 일반소성법으로 제작하였다. 시편 제작시 조성은 조성변태 상경계부근을 선택하였으며 Ba(Zn$_{1}$3/ Nb$_{2}$3/)O$_{3}$ 고용량에 따른 purochlore상의 억제 및 그 영향을 조사하고 구조적, 유전적 및 압전적 특성을 측정하였다. X-선 회절분석 및 미세구조의 관찰 결과, Ba(Zn$_{1}$3/Nb$_{2}$3/)O$_{3}$의 고용량에 따라 pyrochlore상 및 미반응 물질등은 억제되어 0.20mol 고용된 시편에서는 균질한 perovskite상이 형성되었다. Ba(Zn$_{1}$3/Nb$_{2}$3/)O$_{3}$의 고용량이 증가함에 따라 유전상수는 증가하여 0.50PZN-0.20BZN-0.30PT시편의 경우 6880.9의 높은 값을 나타내었으며 정전용량의 온도계수는 감소하여 0.383[%/.deg.C]의 양호한 값을 나타내었다. 큐리온도는 PbTiO$_{3}$의 고용량이 0.20mol에서 0.40mol로 증가함에 따라 30.deg.C에서 170.deg.C로 증가하였다. 전기기계 결합계수 (K$_{p}$), 기계적 품질계수(Qm) 및 압전전하 계수 (d$_{33}$)는 조성변태 상경계 부근의 조성에서 크게 나타났으며 0.60PZN-0.15BZN-0.25PT 시편의 경우 각각 58.5%, 120.5, 150x$10^{-12}$[C/N]의 값을 나타내었다.다.다.

  • The principal problems in development of dielectric paste materials for PDP(plasma display panel)are PbO free paste and low melting temperature. We prepared PbO free paste from glasses in the system BaO-ZnO-$B_2O_3-V_2O_5$. DTA, XRD and SEM were used to study and characterize BaO-ZnO-$B_2O_3-V_2O_5$ glasses. PbO free paste developed at this paper has thermal expansion of $74{\times}10^{-7}/^{\circ}C$, DTA transformation point of $460^{\circ}C$, and firing condition of $560^{\circ}C$, 10min.

  • Ploycrystalline $Pb(Zr_{0.5},Ti_{0.5})O_3$ and $BaTiO_3$ powder were prepared by sol-gel process. The alumina substrate were sintered at $1400^{\circ}C$ with bottom electrode of Pt for 2 hours. The Pb(Zr0.5, Ti0.5)O3/BaTiO3 multilayered thick films with laminating times were fabricated on alumina substrate by screening printing method. The obtained thick films were sintered at $800^{\circ}C$ with upper electrode of Ag paste for 1 hour, Structural properties of Pb(Zr0.5,Ti0.5)O3/BaTiO3 multilayered thick films were investigated. As a result of the Differential Thermal Analysis(DTA) of Pb(Zr0.5,Ti0.5)O3, exothermic peak was observed at around $650^{\circ}C$. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns indicated that BaTiO3 and Pb(Zr0.5,Ti0.5)O3 phases and porosities were formed in the interface of Pb(Zr0.5,Ti0.5)O3 / EaTiO3 multilayered thick films.

  • PTC thermistor are characterized by an increase in the electrical resistance with temperature. The PTC materials of middle Curie point were produced or that of high Curie point (above $200^{\circ}C$), it was determined that compositional modifications of $Pb^{2+}$ for $Ba^{2+}$ produce change sin the Curie point to higher temperature. PTC ceramic materials with the Curie point above $120^{\circ}C$ were prepared by adding $PbTiO_3$, PbO or $Pb_3O_4$ into $BaTiO_3$. Thereby, adding $Pb^{2+}$ into $BaTiO_3$-based PTC material to improve Tc was studied broadly, however, weal know that PbO was poisonous and prone to volatilize, then to pollute the circumstance and hurt to people, so we should dope other innocuous additives instead of lead to increase Tc of composite PTC material. In order to prepare lead-free $BaTiO_3$-based PTC with middle Curie point, the incorporation on $Bi_{1/2}Na_{1/2}TiO_3$ into $BaTiO_3$-based ceramics was investigated on samples containing 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 50mol% of $Bi_{1/2}Na_{1/2}TiO_3$. $Bi_{1/2}Na_{1/2}TiO_3$ was compounded as standby material by conventional solid-state reaction technique. The starting materials were $Bi_{1/2}Na_{1/2}TiO_3$, $BaCO_3$, $TiO_2$ and $Y_2O_3$ powder, and using solid-state reaction method, too. The microstructures of samples were investigated by SEM, DSC, XRD and dielectric properties. Phase composition and lattice parameters were investigated by X-ray diffraction.
