  • This paper is study for design SOC composing space vector control algorithm of sensorless BLDC motor by H/W and apply this to operating machanism of washing machine system. it is study that increases control efficiency than S/W control algorithm and enhances response for change of system and authoritativeness of controller. Designed so that can compose controller of most suitable in dynamic characteristic of system by design Parameters of each controller to independent block for SOC design connecting to 8051 cores.   • In this paper, the boost Power Factor Correction(PFC) technique for Direct Torque Control(DTC) of brushless DC motor drive in the constant torque region is implemented on a TMS320F2812DSP. Unlike conventional six-step PWM current control, by properly selecting the inverter voltage space vectors of the two-phase conduction mode from a simple look-up table at a predefined sampling time, the desired quasi-square wave current is obtained, therefore a much faster torque response is achieved compared to conventional current control. Furthermore, to eliminate the low-frequency torque oscillations caused by the non-ideal trapezoidal shape of the actual back-EMF waveform of the BLDC motor, a pre-stored back-EMF versus position look-up table is designed. The duty cycle of the boost converter is determined by a control algorithm based on the input voltage, output voltage which is the dc-link of the BLDC motor drive, and inductor current using average current control method with input voltage feed-forward compensation during each sampling period of the drive system. With the emergence of high-speed digital signal processors(DSPs), both PFC and simple DTC algorithms can be executed during a single sampling period of the BLDC motor drive. In the proposed method, since no PWM algorithm is required for DTC or BLDC motor drive, only one PWM output for the boost converter with 80 kHz switching frequency is used in a TMS320F2812 DSP. The validity and effectiveness of the proposed DTC of BLDC motor drive scheme with PFC are verified through the experimental results. The test results verify that the proposed PFC for DTC of BLDC motor drive improves power factor considerably from 0.77 to as close as 0.9997 with and without load conditions.

  • A robust nonlinear control technique for brushless DC(BLDC) motors is presented using a feedback linearizing technique. The nonlinear model of the BLDC motor is first linearized far the exactly known system by an input-output linearizing method. Then, the robust control is designed for the unknown parts of the system using the Lypunov second method. By employing the proposed control scheme, the a robust control performance against the parameter uncertainties is obtained and therefore a robust feedback linerizing control of the BLDC motor is realized. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is well demonstrated through the comparative simulations.

  • In order to obtain the maximum characteristics of motors such as torque and efficiency, all motors basically use universal inverters designed for each motor's characteristics. However, if you look at the recent research results, you can see cases of SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) driving studies using 6-switch inverters, which are BLDC(Brushless DC Motor) universal inverters, and research cases of driving 3-phase BLDC motors using 4-switch inverters. Therefore, it is possible to search for research methods by approaching various methods of driving and control that can drive each motor apart from the existing universal inverter. In line with this research trend, in this paper, a C-dump type converter, which is an SRM drive converter, was applied as a drive driver for a BLDC motor, and its characteristics and possibilities were studied.

  • Blushes are known to generate unwanted nano particles of dust and harm elements in various electro-mechanical home appliances. Subsequently, the blushless type is proposed as an eco-friendly alternative to replace the brushes. Further, the expensive magnetized rotor of the Blush-less DC (BLDC) is to be replaced in SRM, which requires complex control not to overflow the switching current the system within a budget. This paper introduces an approach to implement an efficient yet, cost-effective controller for high-speed rotation control, employing Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) BLDC motor.

  • This paper reports an investigation of pulse width modulation (PWM) techniques for twophase brushless DC (BLDC) motors fed by a two-phase eight-switch inverter in a fan application. The three-phase BLDC motor is widely applied in industry; however, a lower-cost two-phase BLDC motor and drive circuit has been greatly in demand in recent years. In this paper, we introduce a mathematical model of the two-phase BLDC motor with sinusoidal back electromotive forces (EMFs) based on traditional three-phase BLDC motors. To simplify the drive algorithm and speed up its application, we analyze the principle of block commutation for a two-phase BLDC motor drive in the 180-electricaldegree conduction mode, and we further propose five PWM schemes to improve the commutation performance of the two-phase BLDC drive. The effectiveness of the proposed PWM methods is verified through experiments.

  • A brushless DC (BLDC) motor control system for four-axis driving fins to control the flight attitude of a guided artillery munition is developed in this study. This system adopts a simple sensorless control scheme without a Hall sensor. A 12-step driving sensorless BLDC motor scheme is used to improve the output torque. This system has many restrictive problems that hinder the verification of a real system. For example, this has cost and environmental limitations. Therefore, this study develops HILS to verify a four-axis driving fin control system and verifies the position control system hardware by HILS operation.

  • This paper presents a study on DSP(TMS320F240) controller design for multi-axes transportation system using BLDC servo motor. This BLDC servo motor controller was realized with DSP(Digital Signal Processor) and IPM (Intelligent Power Module). The multi-axes transportation system needs torque, speed, position control of servo motor for variable action. This paper implements those servo control with vector control and space vector modulation technique. As CPU of controller DSP(TMS320F240) is adopted because, it has PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) waveform generator, A/D(Analog to Digital) converter, SPI(Serial Peripheral Interface) port and input/output port etc. The controller of multi-axes transportation system consists of 3-level hierarchy structure that main host PC manages three sub DSP system which transfer downword command and are monitoring the states of end servo controllers. Each sub DSP system operates eight BLDC servo controllers which control BLDC servo motor using DSP and IPM Between host system and middle digital signal processor communicate with RS-422, between main processor and controller communicate with SPI port.
