Development of High Power BLDC Servo System for Control of Large Scale Mechanical System (대형 기계 구조물의 제어를 위한 대용량 BLDC 서보 시스템의 개발)

  • The development of a high power BLDC servo system for a control of the large scale mechanical system is presented. Using DSP TMS320C30, a control unit which is suitable for motor drive system, is developed. Also, based on the developed control unit, BLDC drive system for the speed control is constructed. The algorithms of the vector control, current control, and speed control is implemented using TMS320C30 Software Development Tool. The developed high power BLDC motor drive system is applied to the large scale mechanical system and its feasibility is verified through the experimental results.

  • When designing a controller, a motor can have robust and precise control performance only by considering the error of the motor's mathematical model and the disturbance acting on it. For robust and precise control, the mechanical and electrical disturbance observers were designed to estimate the disturbance, and applied to the speed controller and current controller designed as a nominal system. To confirm the control performance of the designed system, it is applied to a 120 [W] class BLDC motor, and the result of the speed tracking control overcomes disturbances, the steady state error converges to zero, and the asymptotically stable result can be confirmed.

  • A study on control of BLDC Is studying In progress, because of radical increase of survo motor at industrial machine and home machine. Nowaday, we study on control of BLDC, because of radical increase of survo motor at Industry and home. Although control ratio and output of the unit volume are good than the others , BLDC motor demands high cost. Therefor, the study on low cost BLDC have square wave back-emf is studing in progress. Therefor, BLDC Motor was studied to reduce high cost that have square wave back-emf at recently. This paper shows that BLDC Motor, developed highly responsility by using Genetic Algorithm(GA) that the advantages of learning ability, Also, this paper shows experiment and simulation at 200W BLDC that have squarewave back-emf by using Genetic Algorithm. At the result of this methods, the study prove experiment's right.

  • BLDC motor is widely used in automation areas for its good maintenance and controllability. In this paper it is designed for a speed control servo system of sinusoidal typo BLDC motor that can be easily adapted to automation systems with lower cost. Also, control parameters & periods are made adjustable according to the sensors of the motor, electric and mechanical time constant, and PI and PD control are used. The processor for the proposed system is a low cost 16bit One-Chip microprocessor. By experimental results from application to the industrial sewing machine, one of the application of BLDC motor, it can be verified that under the given reference, the system is enough as a speed and position servo without overshoots.

  • The permanent magnet BLDC motors are increasingly being used in high performance applications due to the high torque density and simplicity in their control. In this paper, the control system of the BLDC motor is developed which can be used for the micro motor handpiece, and position sensorless control is realized using back EMF measurement scheme, The validity and practical applications of the developed slotless BLDC motor and drive system are verified through the experimental results.

  • Now a day, owing to high efficiency and easy speed control of brushless DC(BLDC) motor, the demand of BLDC motor that has high power and low noises are increasing. Especially demand of interior permanent magnet(IPM) BLOC with high efficiency and high power in electric motion vehicle is increasing. IPM BLDC motor has permanent magnets in the rotor. Because it has two different flux paths, magnetic reluctance differences are generated in d-axis and q-axis. As the result of the inductance differences that are generated by the saliency(magnetic reluctance differences) in the rotor, the motor has structure advantage that has the additional reluctance torque except a magnet torque and because magnet is situated inside the rotor, the mechanical structure is strong. Therefore IPM BLDC motor makes possible to have high speed and high power. This paper presents a design and characteristics analysis of IPM BLDC motor for electric vehicle. To design IPM BLDC motor, surface mounted permanent magnet(SPM) BLDC motor is used as the initial design model. According to the shape-ratio() of permanent magnet, the characteristic of IPM BLDC motor is analyzed by Finite element method (FEM). Characteristics analysis results of the designed motor are compared with the experimental results.

  • Recently, high-performance BLDC(Brushless DC) motors are being applied to various fields such as industrial and personal mobility devices and drones. To achieve the best performance of BLDC, sensors such as hall sensors, encoders, and resolvers are used to determine the position of the rotor, and various speed control technologies are being developed. However, due to problems with high-speed control due to external environmental factors and frequency bandwidth of semiconductor sensing devices, research on BLDC motors without semiconductor sensing devices is in progress. Therefore, in this study, a signal brush was added to the end of the rotor of a BLDC motor and the rotor position of the BLDC motor was detected by analyzing the signal output through the signal brush.

  • Electrical motors are an integral part of industrial plants with no less than 5 billion motors built word wide every year and the BLDC motor have been increased demand on industrial application. This paper presents BLDC motor control algorithm for cost effective motor application using general purpose microprocessor which have only one on-chip timer and describes how to realize pulse width modulation(PWM) signals with general input/output(I/O) ports to control a three-phase permanent magnet brushless do motor using timer interrupt on MSP430F1232.

  • This paper describes a fully digitalized driver for BLDC motors and the driver is realized by a single chip microprocessor. The speed change can be done by using the signal obtained from the position detecting sensor and adjusting the pulse width at the input channel of power module. In order to verify the effectiveness, an repetitive control method is adopted in the speed control tracking a periodic reference change in the BLDC motor system. The experimental results are shown for the reference tracking accurately according to the design parameter variation in the repetitive controller design.

  • This paper tried to develop a BLDC electric motor securing the 800 W-level watertight structure for driving the outboard motor. For this purpose, this paper developed a high-efficient controller-integrating BLDC electric motor system for underwater propulsion and designed and developed a triple watertight structure. Besides, this study developed a outboard motor integrating motor, propeller and controller based on the production of a controller for BLDC motor which can the speed control by selecting low-voltage, high-current power element. The characteristics of developed outboard motor were 24 V input voltage, over 800 W motor output, and max. 3,000 rpm motor, and 84.9% motor efficiency, and the developed outboard motor could secure the watertight structure in 5 m in water depth.
