Effect of the Application of Three Primary Elements and Lime on the Seed Oil Content and Yield Components of Perilla (3요소(三要素) 및 석회처리(石灰處理)가 들깨의 지방조성(脂肪組成) 및 수량(收量) 구성요소(構成要素)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • This experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of the application conditions of fertilizers on the seed yield and oil content of Perilla ocymoides L. The results were summarized as follows; 1. Plant height, number of nodes and branches, and number of clusters were not significantly affected by the application of fertilizers, but yield capacity and oil content of perilla increased by the potassium application. Phosphate application resulted in incerased seed yield and calcium application significantly affected the oil content. 2. The combined application of phosphate, potassium and calcium resulted in a big seed size but oil content was not high. 3. The fatty acid composition of perilla was not showed affected by the effect of application of fertilizer Unsaturated linolenic acid (64.5 %) was highest in the content of main fatty acid in perilla lipid followed by oleic acid (14.0 %), linoleic acid (13.8 %), palmitic acid (5.4 %) and stearic acid (1.8 %). 4. The contents of inorganic substances in seed ash of perilla showed the distribution pattern of K(21.3 %), Ca(12.8 %), Mg(8.2 %), Fe(0.34 %), Zn(0.15 %), Mn(0.10 %) and Na(0.08 %).

A Study on Attitude of Clinical Nurses Toward Professional Nursing (일부지역 간호사의 간호전문직에 대한 태도 조사 연구)

  • As society has changed, the demand for improved health care has increased. To keep up with this type of social need, professional nursing care is seeking to efficiently satisfy the care needs of human beings. The goal of clinical nurse is to meet nursing care needs of patients. This study was designed to survey attitudes of nursing profession of clinical nurses. The following specific 5 objectives were investigated and the attitudes of clinical nurses were determined. 1. The social position of nursing as a profession. 2. Factors influencing the development of nursing. 3. The future of nursing. 4. Their work. 5. Job satisfaction. The subjects consisted of 120 nurses who are working at 5 general hospital over 150 beds Ill CHONG NAM. The nurses were surveyed by means of a questionnaire from May 24 to Jun 15, 1992. The tool used for this study was based on earlier work by Lee, Nam Hi(1978) and Kim, Myong Hee(1984). Computer was used for Data Analysis. Frequency and Percentage were used to examine the genera] characteristics of the subjects. ANOV A and t.test were used to test the relation in characteristics of the subjects and attitudes Loward nursing prfession. The finding of this study were as follows; 1. Social position of nursing as a profession; The response with the highest agreement was "The professional nursing organization is less power. ful than the other professional organization" 3.333 points, and the response with the lowest agreement was "Nursing get a big salary" 2.225 points. 2. Factors influencing the development of nursing; the response with the highest agreement was "Hospital environment should be improved" 4.267 points, and the response with the lowest agreement was "Nurses satisfaction with salary"2.175 points. 3. The future of nursing; the response with the highest agreement was "Along the deveiopmem of science technique will be elevated educational state and graduate to needed in nursing" 3.958 points, and showed generally positive response toward the future of nursing. 4. Their work; the response with the highest agreement was "Work loading due to nursing staff insufficient" 4. 308 points, the response with the lowest agreement was "Nurses are unkind to patient" 2.508 points. 5. The subject's view regarding job satisfaction;it showed that "Interpersonal nursing staffs" 3.508 points, showed generally unsatisfactory response toward job satisfaction. 6. The relationship between the subject's attitudes toward professional nursing and general characteristics showed a significant difference statistically in regard to the field of work(P<.05). 7. The relationship between general characteristics and the subject's attitudes toward factors influencing the development of nursing showed a significant difference statistically in regard to the age and the status of position(P<.05). The subject's attitude toward the future of nursing showed a significant difference statistically in regard to the age and the period of nursing career and the field of work(P<.05, P<.005). The subject's attitude toward the job satisfaction showed a significant difference statistically in regard to the age and the period of nursing career and the status of position and the field of work(P<.005).

Gas Separation Study of PEBAX 3533 and PEG Blended Membranes (PEBAX 3533과 PEG의 혼합막에 대한 기체투과 연구)

  • In order to increase the permeabilities of $N_2$, $O_2$, $CH_4$, $CO_2$, $SO_2$, Poly (ether block amides) (PEBAX) 3533 and its blended membranes with Poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG) of molecular weight 400 were prepared. The contents of PEG400 were 20%, 40%, and 50% and this membranes were characterized in terms of permeability for $N_2$, $O_2$, $CH_4$, $CO_2$, $SO_2$ gases and also diffusivity and solubility as well by using the time-lag gas separation apparatus. As expected, the permeabilities incerased as the contents of PEG400 increased. For the ideal selectivity, there is no big difference in values of between PEBAX 3533 and PEBAX/PEG400 membranes. The increase of permeabilities is due to the increases of solubilities of gases in question and this will be explained in more detail.

Changes of the Physico-Chemical and Microbiological Properties during Composting for Composting of Sewage Sludge (하수슬러지의 퇴비화과정 중 이화학성 및 미생물상 변동)

  • To study the possibility of agricultural utilization of sewage sludge, the changes of the substances physico-chemical and microbiological properties composting periods such as inorganic matter, the form of organic matter and nitrogen and the kinds and the population number of microorganisms were investigated. The results were summarized as follows ; Temperature and $CO_2$ generation, they were the highest in the second day of composting periods and then were gradually fallen. pH value was not changed in first day during composting periods, but in second day was rapidly increased and then it was constant of the range of 8.4∼8.6. The contents of $P_2O,\;K_2O$, CaO and Fe were a little increased during composting periods, while that of ${SO_4}^{2-}$and Mn were big increased with 253${\sim}$331% and 191${\sim}$208% in late composting periods in comparing with early composting periods, respectively. The contents of ether extracted materials, water soluble polysaccharides, hemicellulose and cellulose were decreased but that of resins and lignin were not changed during composting periods. The contents of total and organic nitrogen during composting periods were decreased with 15${\sim}$20% and 22${\sim}$35%, respectively, while that of inorganic nitrogen was decreased with 75${\sim}$116%. The population numbers of microorganism during composting periods was much too changed according to the kinds of microorganism and composting periods.

  • In this study, we developed the system that can collect and store environmental disaster data into the database and use it for environmental disaster management by converting structured and unstructured documents such as images into electronic documents. In the 4th Industrial Revolution, various intelligent technologies have been developed in many fields. Environmental disaster information is one of important elements of disaster cycle. Environment disaster information management refers to the act of managing and processing electronic data about disaster cycle. However, these information are mainly managed in the structured and unstructured form of reports. It is necessary to manage unstructured data for disaster information. In this paper, the intelligent generation approach is used to convert handout into electronic documents. Following that, the converted disaster data is organized into the disaster code system as disaster information. Those data are stored into the disaster database system. These converted structured data is managed in a standardized disaster information form connected with the disaster code system. The disaster code system is covered that the structured information is stored and retrieve on entire disaster cycle. The expected effect of this research will be able to apply it to smart environmental disaster management and decision making by combining artificial intelligence technologies and historical big data.

Water Quality Fluctuation Study of Paldang Reservoir Affected by Gyeongan Stream Inflow according to Rainfall (강우기 및 비강우기 경안천 수체흐름에 의한 팔당호 수질변동 비교 평가)

  • Water quality fluctuation of Gyeongan water area in Paldang reservoir, which measured from the downstream sampling point of Gyeongan stream (G1) to dam sampling point (P), was examined in the light of seasonal rainfall and regional difference in the year of 2002. Annual COD, T-P and T-N concentration dropped conspicuously at the point P (in front of dam) although concentration of Gl point was high. Concentration variation of COD, T-P and T-N from Gl to P point in Gyeongan area was small in August and September. And at G l point showed relatively low concentration. Chlorophyll-a concentration varies less during the autumn season (October to December) than spring season (March to June). Water temperature of Bughangang (north Han-river) area was relatively lower in August and higher in November compared with that of other areas. COD and SS concentration showed big regional difference except in November when the concentrations of which were relatively low. The high Chlorophyll-a concentration of April fell conspicuously in rainy season. Gyeongan area, where the water depth is relatively shallow, indicated steep temperature gradient in April compared with that in August or November. High 55 concentration in April at P point characterized surface layer while the opposite was recorded in August. Mixing of upper and lower layers had taken place causing dilution of COD, T-N and T-P concentration in August. This condition was maintained throughout November. Therefore, spring-summer seasons needed more attention for water management countermeasure than summer-autumn seasons.

Antioxidant and Antimicrobial Activities of Sorghum Germplasms Introduced from USA (미국 도입 수수 유전자원의 항산화활성과 항균활성)

  • This study was carried out to evaluate the agronomic characteristics and biological activities of $Sorghum$ $bicolor$ germplasms introduced from USA. Plant height, stem diameter, tiller number, leaf length, leaf width, leaf vein color, ear type, ear length and ear width have different from the cultivated accessions. Sweet-N-Sterile (#4) showed the tallest height, widest ear-width and stem diameter. Most of $Sorghum$ $bicolor$ plants may be available to use for bio-energy from these results showing big biomass. Antioxidant activities of 11 cultivars collected from USA were examined by DPPH assay and reducing power. Among the cultivars, Premium stock (#1), Early Sumac (#7), SS Silage (#9) and WGF Grain Sorghum (#11) showed a significantly higher antioxidant activity in comparison to others. Early Sumac (#7) and SS silage (#9) showed more strong reducing power activities than ${\alpha}$-tocopherol, a positive control. Premium stock (#1), Sweet-N-Sterile (#4), Early Sumac (#7) and SS Silage (#9) were also showed high antioxidant activities by DPPH assay and reducing power experiment. BMR Gold I (#3) displayed strong antimicrobial activity against $Escherichia$ $coli$ at minimum inhibitory concentrations (125 ${\mu}g$/ml).

Classification of Environmental Industry and Technology Competitiveness Evaluation (환경산업기술 분류체계 및 기술 경쟁력 평가)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the technological competitiveness of the environmental industry with developed countries in order to establish an international market expansion strategy of the Korean environmental industry and technology. In order to evaluate the competitiveness of the environmental industry and technology, core technologies were classified by the environmental industry sectors based on the classification system of the domestic and international environmental industry and technology. After developing the evaluation index data, the Delphi analysis, journal and patent analysis, as well as the export and import analysis were carried out and the standardization analysis was performed on the index data. Moreover, the weights of each evaluation index were calculated using the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method and the evaluation results of competitiveness of the environmental industry and technology in Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France were derived. As a result of the evaluation, the United States was rated with the highest technological competitiveness in all the environmental industry sectors, while Korea got the lowest technological competitiveness rating compared to the 4 developed countries. In particular, Korea got the lowest level of technological competitiveness in the sector of multi-media environmental management and development for a sustainable social system. Therefore, in order for the Korean environmental industry and technology to enter the global advanced market, it is necessary to strengthen the competitiveness through the development of the fourth environmental industry based on IoT(Internet of Things), cloud, big data, mobile, and AI(Artificial Intelligence), which are currently the country's domestic strengths.

Fermentation Characteristics of Kimchi Treated with Different Methods of Green Tea Water Extracts (녹차의 처리방법에 따른 김치의 발효특성)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the fermentation characteristics of kimchi treated with different methods of water extracts of powdered green tea(GT). Four different kimchis, the SB-kimchi(control) which was not treatment of the extracts, SG-kimchi prepared with Chinese cabbage(CC) salted in 1% GT containing 10% brine, DG-kimchi prepared with CC dipped in 1% GT for 30 min after salting, MS-kimchi prepared with the salted CC mixed with 1% GT containing seasonings. All kimchis was fermented at 10$^{\circ}C$. The pH of treated-kimchis were maintained higher than those of control products during fermentation, but it showed no big difference between each treated groups. Total microbe of SB-kimchi(6.27-9.37 cfu/mL) was higher than those of GT-treated kimchi(5.17-9.20) during fermentation. The ratio of lactic acid bacteria against total microbe was higher than the treated kimchis. Total polyphenol content of kimchi was 52.75 mg% in DG-kimchi, 47.71 mg% in MS-kimchi, 44.89 mg% in SG-kimchi, 30.70 mg% in SB-kimchi on the 5th days of fermentation. Scores of crispy taste of SG- and DG-kimchi on the 5th days of fermentation was 4.03 and 4.01 points, respectively which was higher than control products. Scores of fishy and hot taste of GT-treated kimchi were lower than those of control products during all fermentation periods.
