In Korea, researches on distance education had started in early 1980th, and began in earnest from mid 1990th. In this study, we classified academic journals which were searched by the key word of 'Distance Education" from the Database of the Library of Congress. We proposed arithmetic statistical data and implication.

The Mediastinal lipoma is an uncommon tumor in the literature. The literaure concerning mediastinal lipomas began with the first case report by Fothergill in 1781 and about 120 cases had been reported till 1969. We experienced one case of huge mediastinal lipoma, which was 885gm in weight, The mass was successfully removed through the right posterolateral thoracotomy and pathologic report confirmed pure adipose tissure. The patient`s postoperative course was uneventful and he was discharged on the 17th day.

Tsurumi River Basin successfully started to prepare a Water Master Plan though a series of discussions by gathering all stakeholders in a hall. It began with setting five management targets namely, flood, low flow, natural environment, emergency use, and recreational use, followed by setting management goals by target as well as a one-sentence catchphrase for the Water Master Plan using a bottom-up approach. The author reviews this process and discusses the background of the success.

The authors observed thee life history of Cyrtarachne inaequalis Thorell, 1895, during from September 21th, 2001 to April 17th, 2002. Cyrtarachne inaequalis Thorell, 1895 are distributed in oriental region including Korea, China, Japan, India, and Taiwan. The eggs were hatched out from March 31th, 2002 to April 1st, 2002. Cyrtarachne inaequalis Thorell, 1895 usually began to move after sunset. The structure of web was irregular. This study shoos the ecological Life of Cyrtarachne inaequalis Thorell, 1895.

The behavior of CaO and SiO2 in the reaction produced which produced in the early hydration of C3S was studied by XRD and thermal analyzer. Polymerization of hydrated siltcates was also studied by TMS method. TMS derivatives were separated by gaschromatography. Cao/SiO2 molar ratios of the produced CSH gel under the air atmosphere were higher than that in the CO2. Dimerization rate of hydrated silicates was very fast in the early hydration stage. Trimer began to appear later than dimer and its increasing rate was very low. The amount of dimer and trimer formed under the CO2 atmosphere was less than that in the air.

The ideology of space development can be classified into three types: national security, scientific inquiry, and commercialism. Korea and Japan have influenced the space development innovation system by different proportions. In the rhetoric analysis of Kim Young Sam, Kim Dae Jung, Roh Moo Hyun, and President Lee Myung Bak, the periods when Korea's space development began in earnest, the pragmatism (commercialism) of strengthening industrial competitiveness through space development has been consistently emphasized. But it also maintains national security and scientific inquiry as ancillary.

Industrial gas separation by membranes began in 1980 with the introduction of hollow-fiber polysulfone membrane systems by Permea, at that time a division of Monsanto. This first application was the recovery of hydrogen from ammonia reactor purge gas and was soon followed by the generation of nitrogen from air. Today, membrane gas separation ranks second behind cryogenic distillation in terms of nitrogen production, and this application has drawn the industrial gas companies into the membrane field.(omitted)
