Compact $H_2$ PSA 공정을 위한 흡착탑의 설계 (Design of adsorption bed for Compact H2 PSA process)

  • 소수 station의 수소분리정제를 위한 compact형 PSA 공정을 연구하였다. 기존 PSA 공정의 흡착탑이 차지하는 시스템의 공간을 줄이기 위하여 하나의 흡착탑 안에 다른 흡착탑을 넣어 흡착탑이 차지하는 공간을 최소화하였으며, 흡착탑 간의 열교환이 효과적으로 일어나도록 설계하였다. 수소 혼합물에 대한 활성탄으로 충진된 dual bed에서의 수소 혼합물에 대한 흡/탈착 동특성 실험을 실시하였으며, 시간에 따른 농도와 온도의 변화를 측정하였다. 수소 혼합물로는 $H_2/CO/CH_4/CO_2$ (69:2:3:26 vol.%) 를 사용하였으며, 흡착유량은 7LPM, 흡착압력은 9atm 조건에서 운전하였다. Inner bed와 outer bed의 성능은 각각의 열전달 특성의 차이로 인하여 다르게 나타났으나, 단일탑의 동특성보다는 우수한 성능을 보이고 있었다. 따라서 개발된 dual bed는 적은 부지를 차지하면서도, 보다 우수한 수소 분리 성능을 보일 수 있는 PSA 공정에 응용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

유동층연소로에서 제지공장 폐기물을 이용한 황산화물 제어시 스크린에 의한 탈황효과 (The Effects of Desulfurization by Screen using Ca-based Absorbent in a Solid Waste Fluidized-bed Combustor)

  • The objectives of this study were to investigate the characteristics of desulfurization under different experimental conditions and the effects of desulfurization bed fluidized bed combuster installed with the screen. The experimental results were as follows ; First, as the height of fluidized bed combustor becomes higher, the concentrations of $SO_2$ mainly increased and sulfur retion of paper sludge was higher than that of natural limestone. Second, the desulfurzation by natural limestone occurred at in-bed and the desulfurization by paper sludge occurred in the whole of fluidized bed combuster. In addition, we identified calcium sulfate by the analysis of SEM and XRD. Third, screen at splash region increased sulfur retention 2~5%, air velocity and anthracite fraction had a little effect on the sulfur retention.

  • The purpose of this study are to obtain basic materials that can be fulfil effective using of space by consider living behavior and attitude, a furniture usage and a space usage according to the usage of bed in An-Bang. It also suggests a plan about a method of furniture usage that is reflected resident’s living behavior and attitude, desire, consciousness through the space evaluation. The major findings of this study can be summarized as follow : 1, The case of husband’s age was less than 47, and the educational level of husband and wife was above a university graduate, the percentage of possession of bed was high. 2. According to the usage of bed, this study showed difference of furniture usage, and that of life action. 3. According to the usage of bed, there were significant differences in the luxury by result of the space evaluation. 4. Also, there were significant differences in a satisfaction of atmosphere, and an area by satisfaction of furniture usage. 5. According to the usage of bed, the influence of each independent variable appeared differently by result of regression analysis to see the space evaluation effect on space satisfaction.

  • 본 논문에서는 콘포칼 구조의 광학계를 이용하여 생체신호인 조상(nail bed)패턴을 추출하고 그를 암호키로 이용해 암호 키(key)의 고의적 양도나 부정사용을 방지해 높은 보안성을 갖는 광 암호화 및 복호화 방법을 제안한다. 또한 암호화된 영상은 생체정보를 포함하고 있기 때문에 영상정보의 진위여부를 개인의 인증(authentication)을 통해서 가려낼 수 있다.

The Control System of a Robot Bed for Caring Pressure Ulcer

  • The medical bed developed in this study is an electrically driven segmental keyboard. First describe the instrument of the segmental bed specially designed for pressure ulcer prevention, then the motor control system and pressure ulcer prevention operation of the bed. The main factor of pressure ulcer generation is displayed as body pressure x time, and when the keyboard falls, the body pressure becomes zero, and the pressure becomes higher than the threshold even if the body pressure is above the threshold, the pressure control algorithm has been developed. Therefore, using the proposed pressure control method, it has no particular ulcer occurred theoretically.

  • Varing the flow velocity of solution and particle diameter, the mass transfer coefficient of the local electrode on current feeder has been measured in an empty flow reactor, an inert fluidized bed electrode reactor, and an active fluidized bed electrode reactor. It had its maximium value when the bed porosity was 0.6 to 0.65 and decreased with in- creasing the height of local electrode. The mass transfer coefficient was found to be high especially when higher particle was fluidized. Electrochemical deposition of copper dissolved in the synthesized wastewater has been performed in the active fluidized bed electrode reactor. The deduction rate was higher than 90% and the residual concentration of copper decreased to less than 5ppm.

  • Fixed bed is known to be an effective heat transfer augmentation device which could be applied to heat exchangers. In this study, pressure drop in vertical cylindrical and annular fixed beds with air flowing through was experimentally investigated. Based on the experimental data and some analytical considerations, the demensionless correlation of pressure drop has been determined and shown in empirical forms. In particular, the experimental equation for the pressure drop was derived using the particle diameter and the bed diameter as variables, which would be more practical and useful in the design of heat transfer devices, instead of void fraction which had been used previously as the major variables by others. The present empirical equation obtained for the cylindrical fixed bed were found to be applicable also to an annular fixed bed when the concept of effective diameter was introduced.

Mercury Ion Removal Using a Packed-Bed Column with Granular Aminated Chitosan

  • This study deals with the removal of mercury species using a packed-bed column with spherical aminated chitosan material. These adsorbents revealed a high adsorption capacity for mercury species. Experiments with feed solutions of 10 ppm Hg dissolved in distilled water showed an excellent removal with a sharp increase of the filter effluent concentration after a total throughput of 900 bed volumes of feed water. Up to $95\%$ desorption was reached by using 3 bed volumes of 0.01 N EDTA solution. EDTA could be recovered by means of sulfuric acid with about $75\%$ efficiency. Almost the same results were obtained in repeated sorption and desorption experiments at identical conditions. The experiments demonstrated that the sorbents possessed practically no sorption capacity for alkaline earth ions ($Ca^{2+}\;and\;Mg^{2+}$). Their influence on the sorption of mercury was negligible. In experiments with spiked tap water of the Karlsruhe Research Centre and a feed mercury concentration of 0.01 mg/l, the breakthrough of Hg was observed only after a total throughput of about 6,000 bed volumes of feed water.

소결층 내에서의 코크스와 무연탄의 연소 특성 비교 연구 (A Study on the Combustion Characteristics of Coke and Anthracite in an Iron Ore Sintering Bed)

  • Coal combustion in an iron ore sintering bed is a key parameter that determines quality of the sintered ores and productivity of the process. In this study, effects of the different types of coal - coke and anthracite - on the combustion in the iron ore sintering bed are investigated by modeling and experiment. Fuel characteristics of coke and anthracite are observed through a set of basic analysis and thermo-gravimetric analysis. Coke has a higher reactivity than anthracite due to the difference of surface area and density, and these characteristics are reflected in the 1-D unsteady simulation of the iron ore sintering bed. Calculation results show that different reactivity of the fuel can affect the bed combustion.

고형 폐기물층 연소에 관한 연구 (A study on the bed combustion of solid waste)

  • Waste combustion above a grate is the core process of incineration systems, stability of which should be guaranteed for emission minimization. However, complicated reactions and heat and mass transfer phenomena make understanding the process difficult. One dimensional bed combustor with a numerical combustion model is utilized to investigate the combustion process of the bed, using cubic wood particles as a simulated fuel. Bed combustion behavior is characterized with apparent flame propagation speed, which has close relationship with air supply rate and chemical and physical characteristics of the fuel. Base on the availability of oxygen, two distinct reaction zone is identified; the oxygen-limited and the reaction-limited zone leading to the extinction by excessive convection cooling. The numerical modeling shows good agreement with the experimental results. The transient bed combustion behavior of local temperature and oxygen consumption rate is adequately reproduced. The numerical model is extended to model the waste bed combustion of a commercial incineration plant, which shows meaningful results as well.
