E-Transformation from EDI to Web-based B2B Frameworks

  • Lots of EDI-VAN companies are in need of transforming their business transaction systems into Web-based e-Business frameworks because of high cost and closed structure of EDI systems. This research proposes several e-Transformation strategies for EDI-VAN companies to adopt Web-based e-Business frameworks such as ebXML and RosettaNet. Four transformation alternatives are presented and transformation procedure for a medium-sized company is described. The result of this work can be used as a practical guideline for EDI companies to develop their own transformation strategy suitable to its scale and capability, while minimizing the impacts on the pre-existing business processes and information systems.

A Hybrid Service Orchestration Framework based on BPEL4WS

  • As the value of B2B integration gets more importance and the business process becomes more complex, BPEL4WS standard has been focused for the solution of the problems which is based on web service technology. Many vendors implement the standard in their systems to integrate B2B and web service based inner-Enterprise Application(EA)s. But there is no way to use the standard to integrate non-web service based EAs, because the standard is designed only for Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) over web services. This paper proposes Hybrid Service Orchestration Framework to participate web services and also non-web service based EAs in the business process as a partner using BPEL4WS standard. The framework introduces Hybrid Service Architecture to represent non-web service based EAs as a service, so BPEL4WS could be used to integrate web services and non-web service based EAs. And the framework also introduces Hybrid Service Toolkit to support software level facilities. The paper also introduces Hybrid Orchestration System that is based on Hybrid Service Orchestration Framework.

  • Recently, competition in the interior remodeling business is fierce. However, the interior remodeling business is basically B2B, and in this business, sales are basically dictated by the capabilities of salespeople. Therefore, in this study, we intend to develop a model for the core competency of salespeople in the interior remodeling business. To this end, based on the research on the existing competency and competency modeling, the competency model of the salesperson was derived using Dubois' overlay method. A total of 12 core competencies could be defined through the first and second modeling. The subject of this study was focused on LG Hausys, the most representative interior remodeling company in Korea. Based on the core competencies developed in this way, overall sales competencies can be raised through the development of a training course to enhance the sales competencies of salespeople, and a more efficient and objective HR.

  • B2B(business to business) using the WWW have been quickly increased by the advance of the internet. Up to the Present, HTML have been used as the technology for representation of the WWW documents. HTML have a good transplantation and convenience. But HTML have a lot of constraints in the processing of the trade information between enterprises, because HTML use the fixed tag. In recently, a great number of technology appear to improve this problem. XML is one of them. XML published by W3C in 1998 is a standard for representation and interchange of WWW documents. So XML can be applied to interchange of information between enterprises in internet-based B2B. In this paper, we proposed the method for the order processing using the XML, applied the proposed method to 'H' company which product a part of marine engine, and then we implemented the prototype system. we described the effect of application.

벤처기업 창업환경 및 기업성장단계가 경영애로사항에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증 연구 (An Empirical study on the effects of the founder characteristics of a venture company and its enterprise growth phase for management difficulty factors)

  • 본 연구는 2012년 벤처기업정밀실태조사 데이터를 기반으로 벤처기업의 창업주 특성 및 기업 성장단계가 기업간 거래 및 경영상 애로사항에 어떠한 영향력이 있는지를 실증적으로 분석하였다. 창업주의 연령과 학력에 따라 기업 간 거래시 애로사항 발생빈도가 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 창업주의 연령, 학력, 전공 등에서 경영상 애로사항 인식 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 학력은 석사에서, 전공은 인문사회 분야에서 상대적으로 경영상 애로사항이 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 반면, 기업 성장단계에 따라 기업 간 거래 시 애로사항의 발생빈도에 대한 인식은 차이가 없는 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 기업이 성장하는 단계마다 애로사항이 빈번하게 일어남에도 불구하고 루틴하게 해결되고 있는 것으로 판단된다. 그러나 기업의 쇠퇴기 단계에서 경영상 애로사항 인식이 높았다. 이는 기업간 거래 시 쇠퇴기에 있는 업체와 거래를 꺼려하기 때문으로 이는 당연한 결과로 해석된다.

  • 최근 국내 전자상거래시장은 산업전반에 전자상거래의 확산을 통해 괄목할 만한 성장을 이루고 있다. 그럼에도 우리 중소기업의 전자상거래 활용 비율은 매우 저조한 것으로 나타나고 있다. 이렇게 중소기업의 B2B 전자상거래시장 참여율이 저조한 이유는 다양한 원인이 있을 수 있으나, 중소기업이 참여하는 B2B 전자상거래시장의 특성을 고려한 실증적 성과 측정 및 평가의 부재도 주요한 원인으로 사료된다. 따라서 본 연구는 B2B 전자상거래 참여기업이라면 대부분 활용경험이 있는 공적신용보증기관이 e-Marketplace와 연계하여 제공하고 있는 전자상거래 보증 이용기업을 대상으로 B2B 전자상거래 활용효과를 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 선행 연구를 통하여 도출한 14개 재무관련 항목을 이용하여 재무적 관점에서 경영성과 분석 및 가설검증을 진행하였다. 본 연구결과를 통한 시사점은 B2B 전자상거래 보증 이용기업의 재무적 관점의 실증적 성과분석이 향후 B2B 전자상거래 보증의 활성화를 위한 정책수립의 기초자료로 활용되어 중소기업의 전자상거래 확대 지원을 통해 안정적인 비즈니스 환경을 구축하는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

B2B 기업의 시장지향성이 관계특유투자와 지각된 경제적 성과에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effect of Market Orientation on Relationship Specific Investment and Performance)

  • 기업성과는 모든 기업 활동의 궁극적인 산출물로서 경영학 분야별로 성과에 미치는 영향요인에 관한 연구가 진행되어 왔으며 본 연구에서는 마케팅 분야에서 가장 많이 언급되고 있는 영향요인 중 하나인 시장지향성을 중심으로 B2B 기업의 성과에 관한 영향요인들을 규명하고 그 관계를 실증적으로 검증하였다. 관련 문헌고찰을 토대로 가설을 설정하였으며, 가설검증을 위해 울산지역 내 B2B 기반 기업들의 대상으로 설문을 수집하였으며 수집된 자료 중 최종 288부의 설문지가 분석에 사용되었다. 분석결과, 시장지향성의 하위 3개 요인 중 시장정보창출과 시장정보반응은 B2B 기업 간 관계에서의 파트너십 형성을 위한 관계특유투자에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 시장정보확산을 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 시장지향성의 하위 3개 요인 모두 경제적 성과에는 직접적으로 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났고, 관계특유투자는 경제적 성과에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 시장지향성과 경제적 성과를 관계특유투자가 매개하고 있음을 확인하였다. 끝으로 시장지향성 3위 요인 중 시장정보창출과 관계특유투자의 관계는 의존성에 의해 부(-)의 방향으로 조절되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석결과에 기반하여 연구의 학문적, 실무적 시사점을 제시하였으며, 연구의 한계점과 향후 연구방향도 제시하였다.

Development of a Structured Debriefing for Business Simulation Games and Its Effect on College Students' Business Knowledge and Entrepreneurship Competencies

  • This study evaluates the effect of structured debriefing for a business simulation game for university students. The program provides an authentic learning experience of real-world business management by allowing learners to make decisions related to R&D, marketing, production, and finance through a business simulation game, and check the results in real time. In 2022, University A and B each ran a business simulation game-based program as an extra-curricular activity. University A conducted a traditional instructor-led debriefing where the instructor explained the summarized process and results, while University B implemented a structured debriefing which had been developed based on Gibbs' and 3D models. To assess the effect of the structured debriefing compared to the traditional instructor-led debriefing, business knowledge and entrepreneurship competencies were measured three times. Repeated measures ANOVA was used to test for the differences between the two groups and to examine interaction effects between group and time. The structured debriefing group achieved statistically significantly higher academic scores than the traditional instructor-led debriefing group at the post-test and in 2 weeks. There was no statistically significant difference between the groups in terms of entrepreneurship competencies. There was no interaction effect between group and time, both in academic achievement and in entrepreneurship competencies. In conclusion, the simulation game-based program integrated with the structured debriefing session is more likely to have a stronger impact on academic achievement and its retention.

한국 B2C 전자상거래의 저 성장 요인 연구 - 가격, 비용, 법률과 정책 (An Study of Low Growth of B2C Electronic Commerce in South Korea - Price, Costs, Law and Policy)

  • As the Internet has been spread widely and rapidly in Korea since mid 1990s, the growth of electronic commerce was expected to be so at first. It was generally believed that the Internet and electronic commerce would increase the market efficiency and decrease the asymmetry of information. Electronic commerce seemed to replace the traditional market by lowering price and creating consumer-driven market, The actual situation of market, however, is not. The fact-finding research tells the different result that the amount of B2C electronic commerce in Korea is very small contrary to expectations. This study is for the analysis of low growth of B2C electronic commerce in Korea, and to find solutions.

A Strategic Analysis of B2B e-Commerce : The Economic Impact of e-Marketplace Adoption

  • Recently, many organizations in various industries have introduced e-businesses for the purpose of adding value to their businesses. However, due to no comparable business models to e-business in the past, there are no reliable yardsticks to predict the performance of an e-business. This paper considers an environmental change analysis as a means to resolve this difficulty. System Dynamics (SD) could be a useful tool to generate effective results by examining the e-business model. SD model is developed to analyze the effects of an e-sales channel which was appended to the existing sales channels in the steel manufacturing industry. The results show an increase in average price and sales volume through the use of an auction process on the e-marketplace. Stocking expenses are reduced as well by the increase of the sales turnover. A possible scenario was adopted to the developed simulation model and investigated strategic issues to draw desirable strategies with market changes.
