Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Inverter with Zero-Current-Switching (영전류 스위칭 계통 연계형 태양광 발전 인버터)

  • This paper presents a new zero current switching (ZCS) inverter for grid-connected photovoltaic single phase inverter system. The auxiliaey circuit for the soft-switching consists of two resonant inductors and two resonant capacitors as well as two auxiliary switches rated at lower power. The proposed circuit provides zero current switching condition for all the switches, which reduces switching losses significantly. It is controlled to extract maximum power from the solar array and to provide sinusoidal current into the mains. The validity of the proposed system is verified by experimental results from the 1.2kW prototype inverter operating at 40kHz.

  • Traditionally electric power system are operated in such a way that the total fuel cost is minimized regardless of accounting for tie-lines transmission constraint and emissions produced. But tie-lines transmission and emissions constraint are very important issues in the operation and planning of electric power system. This paper presents the Two-Phase Neural Network(TPNN) to solve the Economic Load Dispatch (ELD) problem with tie-lines transmission and emissions constraint considering transmission losses. The transmission losses are obtained from the B-coefficient which approximate the system losses as s quadratic function of the real power generation. By applying the proposed algorithm to the test system, the usefulness of this algorithm is verified.

  • This paper presents a new method for representing complex power system phenomena using 3-D computer graphics animation. The proposed method was tested on both the generator dynamics phenomena and subsynchronous resonance phenomena. It is anticipated that the proposed method would be helpful for the operator training as well as power system education.

  • This paper analyses the transient phenomena against lightning surge on underground power cable systems. For analysis, several actual underground power cable systems are modeled using ATP. In lightning surge strokes, the various unbalanced conditions including the length of crossbonded lead, the breakdown of CCPU and distance unbalance are considered. This paper is expected to contribute the establishment of proper protection methods against transients on underground power cable systems.

  • Korean power system has some problems like as curtailing investment and the NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) phenomena, because of power demand concentration in downtown area. In this time, superconducting power devices rise as a very attractive solution. This study proposes a basic concept of superconductivity power system with bulk capacity, and identifies the items for technical and economic analysis. The proposed system consists of superconducting cables/transformers/FCLs(fault current limiter). The basic concept is to replace 154kV conventional cables with 22.9kV superconducting cables and to convert a 154kV substation into a 22.9kV switching station in downtown area.

  • 배전 계통을 대상으로 하는 통신 시스템에 전력통신(PLC : Power Line Communication)기술을 적용하고자 할 때, 고압 배전선의 통신 채널로서의 특성 분석이 근간이 되어야 한다. 일반적으로 지하 공동구의 배전 지중 케이블에는 케이블-케이블 간의 전기적, 물리적 접촉점인 접속 개소가 일정한 간격으로 존재하게 된다. 그러므로 통신 신호의 매개체가 되는 전력 케이블의 채널 특성 분석에는 케이블 접속 개소의 영향도 고려 대상이 되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 서울시 광진구 일부의 부하를 담당하고 있는 22.9 kV 고압 배전 지중 선로를 시험 선로로 비접촉식 커플러를 통해 통신 신호를 전송하여 삽입 손실 측정 결과를 보았고 케이블 접속 개소의 영향을 주파수 영역에서 채널 특성을 통해 분석 하였다. 시험 결과 케이블 접속 개소를 통과할 때 채널 특성은 십여 dB의 신호 감쇄를 보였다.

  • 345kV 변전소는 국내 전력계통의 근간으로서 고장 시계통 안정도에 미치는 영향이 크기 때문에 고장 제거가 착신하고 신속해야 한다. 따라서 345kV 변전소의 보호 장치들은 CT, PT, 차단기(trip coil), 보호계전기, DC전원 등이 모두 2계열화되어 있으며 보호 계전기는 각 계열마다 주보호와 후비보호가 따로 구비되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 34skv 변압기 보호용 보호계전기에 내장된 계전요소들의 유기적인 성능 검증을 할 수 있는 동특성 시험에 관한 기반 구축 과정 및 결과에 대해서 기술한다.

  • The air clearance of the transmission tower is determined by the switching overvoltage of the system, and the insulator length is determined by contamination design. This paper described the switching overvoltage analysis result of 500 kV system and air clearance design. The overvoltage include fault initiation, fault clearing, closing and reclosing overvoltages. We illustrated the contamination design example, air clearance design of a tower considering swing angle of the conductor.
