Foot-and-mouth disease occurs in cattle or wild animal with two hooves such as cow, pig, sheep, goat, and deer. In this study, survey on knowledge, awareness, and lifestyle about foot-and-mouth disease was performed on 398 elementary school in 5 regions in Gyeonggi-do. 49 people (92.5%) from the group who have been educated about the foot-and-mouth disease replied that they have heard of foot-and-mouth disease and 139 people (68.5%) from the group who have not been educated about the disease replied that they have not heard of the disease. About the knowledge regarding "Foot-and-mouth disease virus is destroyed at temperatures above $50^{\circ}C$, so cooked food is free from the virus", only 26 people (49.1%) from the educated group and 82 people (40.4%) have correct knowledge. When asked about when education on disease such as foot-and-mouth disease, both groups replied that the education should be done in elementary school. The FMD includes in Korea and is a disease where the infection occurrence is happening continuously from the various nation. Must prepare with a recognition and the knowledge where the people are proper.

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of oral health awareness and oral health behavior on cardiocerebrovascular prevention behavior in a cardiocerebrovascular diseases risk group and provide basic data for a nursing intervention program for the group. Data were collected from 131 people in the risk group of cardiocerebrovascular diseases living in J Province in February and March of 2018. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, Pearson's correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results revealed that preventive acts were positively correlated with subjective oral health state (r=0.261, p=0.003), importance of oral health (r=0.250, p=0.004), and practice of oral health (r=0.303, p<0.001). Moreover, acts to prevent cardiocerebrovascular disease were influenced by oral health (${\beta}=0.29$, p<0.001), age (${\beta}=0.27$, p=0.001), and subjective oral health state (${\beta}=0.24$, p=0.003). Specifically, scores of preventive acts for cardiocerebrovascular diseases increased with higher degree of oral health behavior, older age, and better subjective oral health state. These variables had an explanatory power of 19.3%. The results of this study imply a need to prepare measures to enhance the oral health level of the risk group of cardiocerebrovascular diseases and conduct ongoing follow-up studies of the perception, attitude, and behavior of individuals toward oral health, as well as the state of oral health.
This purpose of this study was to analysis the relation of awareness and practices of oral health promotion. The subjects in this study were 133 workers who worked in Seoul, Gyeonggi province, and were at the age of 20 and up. The survey was conducted from January 16 to March 31, 2012. The collected data is statistically analyzed by SPSS. For the level oral health awareness of industrial workers, the awareness of prevention of tooth decay and periodontal disease was high, but that of necessity of oral hygiene supplies other than tooth brushing was low. For the level of oral health care practice, they showed the highest awareness for the importance of cleaning a tongue when brushing teeth, and the lowest for the importance of dental care. For oral health awareness according to the general properties, workers with average income of 2~3 million one showed higher oral health awareness than others. For oral health care practice, those who brush their teeth more than 3 times a day and who have visited the dentist during the last year had higher oral health care practice than others. For oral health awareness according to the level of interest in oral health and the status of oral health of the industrial workers, those who have higher interest in oral health turned out to have higher oral health awareness. The relation between oral health awareness and oral health care practice of the industrial workers showed a positive correlation, which indicates that the higher oral health awareness is, the higher oral health care practice is.
Purpose: This study aimed to comprehensively examine middle-aged male taxi drivers' perceptions of the risk of cardiovascular disease. Methods: A qualitative method was used, with focus group interviews. The participants were middle-aged male taxi drivers who had been driving for more than ten years and for more than six hours daily. Results: The data were analyzed using qualitative thematic analysis. Middle-aged male taxi drivers' perceptions of the risk of cardiovascular disease were categorized into three main themes: "individual perceptions of cardiovascular disease", "possibility of behaviors for cardiovascular disease" and "motivations of behaviors for cardiovascular disease". Six sub-themes were extracted as follows: "perception of vulnerability", "perception of seriousness", "perception of profitability", "perception of disability", "self-awareness" and "advancing toward health care". Conclusion: It is necessary to invigorate support systems through measures including education, counseling, and web-based programs to prevent cardiovascular disease in middle-aged male taxi drivers.

There is increasing awareness of the devastating socio-economic cost of cardiovascular disease. As a result there have been a lot of extensive researches both on basic mechanisms involved and on the areas of epidemiology and clinical trials. Now, it is being generally accepted that dietary n-3 fatty acids abundant in marine products, may reduce the incidence of cardiovascular disease. Fish oil, with its complement of n-3 fatty acids, has been shown to have diverse and sometimes potent actions on cells of the blood and vasculature, which may explain some of its positive effects on vascular disease. However, the appropriate intake of n-3 fatty acids has not been established. This may vary with desired effects, the duration of ingestion, the type of seafood or fish oil and amount of other fatty acids, especially nf fatty acid being consumed in the diet, Although the beneficial effects have been extensively studied, little is known about potential adverse effects with excessive intake of n-3 fatty acids. Thus, it is needed to study on the possible unfavorable effects including genetic effects.

Successful diagnosis of a disease in food-producing animals depends in many times on proper collection and handling of specimens, as well as careful clinical observation and evaluation of the diseased animals. During the period required to complete the appropriate laboratory tests, an awareness of the potential problems of disease spread to animals at risk and the available palliative treatments is essential. Because most microbial-induced diseases in herds or flocks cannot be effectively treated once the problem is established, management through prevention and control of the disease must be instituted to offer the maximum protection to animals at risk. Thus, the course of disease management for infectious diseases is oftentimes a difficult judgment decision. This paper presents a brief general guide to specimen collection and laboratory methods used for diagnosis of diseases in production animals. (omitted)

It is increasing scenery created as a result of pine wilt disease. The purpose of this study is to investigate the local resident's awareness against the scenery caused by pine wilt disease in their neighboring area, through the questionnaire investigation. The result showed that more than $40\%$ of the residents are not aware of such scenery in their local area, and about 30% of the residents did not know that those trees were dying. More than $40\%$ of the people do not know of the pine wilt disease as a general argument. Another question showed that the recognition of such scenery depends on the distance of the viewer. General residents don't worry about such scenery in the far distance in fact some of them think those are colored leaves. However, the nearer they see the trees, the higher they have negative feeling against it.

All Deficiency section (諸虛門) in Euibangyoochui (醫方類聚), fills volumes 143-154 of Euibangyoochui's 266 volumes. In it, diverse and meaningful concepts such as Consumptive Disease (虛勞) and Fatigue Due to Overexertion (勞倦) are introduced to describe deficiency-oriented diseases. Before the 10th century, there are classified into six categories: muscle exhaustion, pulse exhaustion, flush exhaustion, Qi exhaustion, essence exhaustion, bone exhaustion, and prescribing treatments for treating diseases corresponding to each exhaustion. As medical knowledge was integrated through the medical books compiled by the government, awareness of Consumptive Disease was advanced to clarify the concept of pathways. The Confucian doctors have led to changes in recognition of the cause of the Consumptive Disease from damage of human factors to an internal problem. It can be seen that the classification of hurdles has become more diverse just before the outbreak of Euibangyoochui and that they include various diseases.
X-linked Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 1 (CMTX1) is caused by the mutation in GJB1 gene, characterized by the transient central nervous system involvement and long standing peripheral polyneuropathy which does not fulfill the criteria of demyelination or axonopathy. We describe a 37-year-old man with progressive bilateral leg weakness since his early teen. He suffered transient right hemiparesis, followed by quadriparesis at 14 years of age. When we examined him at 37 years of age, he presented a distal muscle weakness on lower extremities with a sensory symptom. The nerve conduction study demonstrated a motor conduction velocity between 26 and 49 m/s. The whole exome sequencing revealed a novel variant c.136 G>A in GJB1. This report will raise awareness in this rare disease, which is frequently misdiagnosed early in its course.
