The purpose of this study was to survey the trends of waste products in schools, its gathering and disposal, identification of problems and to analyze its disposal. Moreover, this study was aimed at basic suggestions about the establishment and plans of waste environmental education. 98 public primary and secondary schools were surveyed in Seoul during the month of March and April, 1991. Information was collected from each educational association by random sampling. Questionaries were used for this survey. To understand the disposal status of school waste and its reforms, this study surveyed the amount of waste by products, their origin and analyzed the disposal by type, one number of schools and teachers involved. The dump sited and disposal methods of school waste, its problems, and the status of school waste educations were researched, and ideal disposal methods and plans for waste education were suggested. The results were as follows. 1. The School's trash was produced by followings: paper, vinyle plastics, food, woods, metals, ceramics, glass, bottles, and ash from the heating system. The biggest cause of the school's waste as shown by the survey was a lack of environmental awareness(39.8%). The second biggest was the use of a one time use of disposable paper products(27.6%). 2. Waste collection by different grade levels were proven to be important but as you move from elementary to high school, the waste collecting operation decreased, in this connection between the students and waste collection itself it was significant on the other hand the teachers were not working as significant variables. 3. Of the school that collected waste 69.5 percent of the schools separately grouped common waste and recyclable waste. 25 schools(42.4%) received improvement on their environmental awareness of trash collection through this method. 4. From the number of disposal sites in surveyed schools, it was determined that the education of the necessity for separation of waste was performed in vain and accordingly the should require a real education in the future. 5. Regarding the method of disposal of waste the survey indicated that the #1 method of disposal was partial burning and the remains carried to a dump site by others(35,7%). In elementary schools the entire waste was taken by individuals to a dump site (33.3%). In high schools partial burning and then transported by individuals #1 in our survey(50%). 6. Relative to the problem of the treatment to waste, the emission of smoke from the burning was considered to be the #1 priority in our survey (62.3%) the problem of trash collection being delayed was 52.1%(1in our survey). 7. The present situation of environmental education of waste us lacking. Under present circumstances, the practice of public announcements for improvement and waste-paper collection has been going on vigorously but lacking in education as to the preparation of compositions for students the themes of public exhibitions, the organizing of voluntary associations should be part of the education system to reinforce student's awareness of proper waste disposal. 8. The most economical alternative for disposal was recycling usable waste or combustible material through a variety of education we can therefore educate students bring this education to their homes public servants will also be able to benefit in the waste disposal process with proper education. In conclusion we should intensify the systemical organization and the education of our waste disposal for a better environment.
The purpose of this study was to examine how clients who visited dental institutions perceived client services, what sorts of client services were provided to them and to what extent they were satisfied with them. It's ultimately meant to seek ways to enhance and enlarge client services. A survey was conducted on 379 residents who used dental institutions in Seoul and Gyeonggi provinces, and the findings of this study were as follows: 1. 64.6 percent of the people investigated weren't aware of client services, and 33.0 percent viewed them as part of medical services. 77.5 percent had grievances about dental institutions they'd ever used. 2. The biggest complaint was that the dental treatments they received weren't covered by the dental insurance. As for how to solve their grievances, the largest group of them told the employees of the dental institutions about their complaints or didn't use them again. When asked whether the dental institutions took any steps to get rid of their grievances, the greatest group replied they had no idea. and the second largest group answered they took no measure. 3. By age and educational level, those who were in their 60s and up and stopped at elementary school were best cognizant of client services. Among client service variables, they were most satisfied with how the employees handled their complaints, and as to overall satisfaction, their willingness to revisit ranked highest. 4. Concerning connections among client service awareness, service variables and overall satisfaction level, their awareness of client services had a positive correlational relationship with every service variable and satisfaction level. Among the service variables, prompt client services and employee attitude were positively correlated to overall satisfaction level, but service procedure, facilities and information services exercised little impact on that. 5. As for what factors affected their content with client services, their client service awareness was identified as one of the important factors to influence their use of dental institutions, the outcome of their visit and their willingness to revisit. The above-mentioned findings suggested that dental institutions should strengthen publicity activities to inform people of client services, and encourage them to express their grievances. In addition, they should take an immediate action to remove their complaints, and try to get a successful feedback to offer higher-quality medical services and customer-oriented services.
This survey is made to offer the fundamental data for the establishment of practical environmental education plan based on understanding of the change of the environmental awareness of elementary school students under the longitudinal-sectional research design. In this research, the questionnaire made by Kim Jong-ki in 1988 and by Kim Hak-Bong in 1993, is amended and filled up, which is used to the 624 numbers of fifth and sixth grade students lived in Seoul, Pyungtaek and Yangjugu. This research ares are devided into 5 ares which are the environmental general, environmental pollution, living environment, environmental education and consciouness of environmental crisis to humen beings. First, it is grasped general tendency and then is compared and analyzed the level of awareness by residence, sex, grade. stsdard of living parental academic, the background variation of parental job with the status in 1988 and 1933. The results are as follows: 1) The rate of interest for environmental pollution and population is reduced but the rate of interest for animal protection is increased. 2) In spite of reinforcement of environmental education In school, the numbers of the students who became to know some information about that from the class are diminished. 3) Even if the children are aware of sewage seriousely, the numbers of the students who answer it is caused by domestic sewage are a few. 4) On the environmental education area, the various materials of the are not utilized well in a class. 5) On the environmental crisis to the human beings the rate is much increased in 1993 ttan that of 1988 environmental contamination is the important cause of the human beings' crises but now the rate is reduced again. In other variables except the environmental contamination, it is increased the that of 1993 on the war, on population it is showed a tendency of reduction. The results of this study are as follows : 1) It is supposed that the education should be done only not for the knowledge of environmental education but for the practice of that - animal breeding, field experience of the ecological destruction places. 2) The various environmental education materials such as TV, VTR are demanded to give the students proper information about that and to educate sufficently. 3) The course of fields exploration for environmental education should be prepared under cooperation of the authorities concerned. 4) It has to be groped for an epoch-making teaching method and the training and the practice of teachers in order to reform environmental pollution.
Purpose. The current study was aimed to investigate the transformational experience of a female student nurse living with type 1 diabetes. Methods. A case study of a 24-year-old diabetes patient was conducted, with interviews concerning the evolving process she had lived through during the period from her later high school years to her graduation from nursing college. Results. Followings were identified as 5-transformation process: With her diabetes-related limitation, the participant experienced 'conflict involving choosing a college and major'. The participant tried to be in charge of managing her diabetes and stepped forward to 'adaptation to college life as a new environment', and she learned more about the process of 'evolving awareness of caring' and developed herself further through the process of 'integration of the nurse identity into self-identity', and finally through the process of 'progression and preparation for getting a job' she achieved her goals, being positive about the future. Conclusions. The results of the study can provide individuals with diabetes a way of self-management and help the patients and their families in diabetes education. Further research will be needed to refine the results of this study and to learn more about the experiences of patients with type I diabetes in college years.
The purpose of this study is to analyze how the content elements of the environment education are displayed between related subjects in elementary school curriculum and find a desirable direction of the environment education. Major subjects that handle the components of the environment education include science, physical education, social studies, ethics, and practical arts. Among these subjects, science aims for the ecological perspective, social studies aims for rational decision making and practical behaviors, and ethics aims for the correct formation of environmental ethics and values. In the component ratio of the environment education, the domains of the natural environment, environmental ethics, environmental pollution, environmental protection and measure were higher. In the formation of content elements according to grades, the connectivity of the environment curriculum has been relatively well secured in the order of the learning about the environmental components, awareness on environmental problems and the measures and efforts to overcome environmental problems. Based on the findings above, the followings are proposed for future environment curriculum in elementary school. First, it is necessary to increase the ratio of the ecological perspective based on science and coordinate the period to suggest this contents. Second, it is necessary to complement the contents of social studies regarding green growth and sustainable development which have become global issues in the environment education. Third, Pan-curriculum and integrated discussions to prepare multi-academic and interdisciplinary environment curriculum have to be preceded and through this process it is necessary to set the target of environment education and select the content elements of the curriculum.
Objectives: This study examined the perception of the vegan trend of millennials and their future needs. Methods: This study was conducted online from June 21, 2021, to July 15, 2021, targeting 425 adult men and women born between 1980 and 2000. The contents of the survey were divided into four categories: general information, awareness of vegetables, awareness of vegan trends, and future needs for vegan trends. Results: Most respondents recognized the importance of eating vegetables and perceived vegetarianism and veganism as a lifestyle. Regarding the perception of the vegan trend, the highest response rate was 'The vegan trend is to be satisfied with my life regardless of other people', while the lowest response rate was 'The vegan trend is only a temporary fad'. The reasons for purchasing vegan products with high response rates were 'interest in the earth and environment', 'protection of animal rights', and 'thinking about health'. The type of vegan product wanted in the future was delicious food, and convenience level was in the order of 'completely cooked', 'half-cooked', and 'pre-processed'. Among the sustainable vegetarian types that millennials responded, 'semi-vegetarian', which can consume most animal products excluding red meat, showed the highest response rate. Conclusions: The positive perceptions about vegetables are expected to increase. Efforts should be made to develop convenient meals using vegetables and provide reasonable prices to expand vegetable intake.
Objectives: The study investigated health professionals working in the metropolitan area and Jeolla-bukdo, South Korea, from April 30 to May 17, 2017 to understand their views on the issue of including dental hygienists in the scope of medical personnel of South Korea. Methods:A total of 270 surveys were analyzed in this study. The survey consists of 5 questions on general issues; 10 on the awareness of present work of dental hygienist; and 1 on opposition or approval about including dental hygienist in medical personnel. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS for Windows 18.0, as well as frequency analysis, cross analysis and logistic regression analysis. Statistical significance level (${\alpha}$) is 0.05. Results: 1. Broken down by gender, male subjects showed more oppositions against including dental hygienists in the category of medical personnel while female subjects showed more favorable opinions (p<0.05). In terms of academic background, those who had graduated from graduate school or higher showed a higher propensity for opposition while those who had graduated from a 3-year college showed a higher tendency for approval on the idea (p<0.05), In terms of occupational type, health professionals showed more opposing views whereas medical technologists showed more approvals than others (p<0.001). 2. With respect to the awareness of work specialty and proficiency of dental hygienist according to general characteristics, the higher the age, the higher the awareness level was. In terms of the occupational type, medical technologists were found to have higher awareness level than health professionals (p<0.001). 3. With respect to the relationship between general characteristics and view on including dental hygienists in medical personnel, the occupational type of health professional was found to have 6.33 times more oppositions than medical technologists. When the awareness level on proficiency of dental hygienist was low, opposition was 6.52 times more frequent (p<0.05). Conclusions: Based on the findings above, the inclusion of dental hygienists in medical personnel seems necessary in properly establishing the specialty and role of dental hygienist in the dentist medical environment of the country in order to enhance national oral health related preventive dental service and expand the demand. To this end, it is necessary to provide nationwide promotion, work to change the awareness of health professionals in other occupational types, and facilitate public promotion for legal ground establishment.

The government has established a foundation activation measures across a total of 10 times to expanse job creation, promote new growth engines and enhance youth entrepreneurship for trying to spread socially. In order to improve startup activation policies and excavation, it is necessary to supplement the gaps going to construct a stable infrastructure through periodic status research on their occupational sense and entrepreneurship awareness. Since 2012, the government's has been surveyed to address the current understanding of the occupational sense and entrepreneurship awareness of population characteristics. Until 2013 only the youth were surveyed, recently from 2014 expanded its range to the public. This study laid the foundation for a more comprehensive set of analysis through which to learn and understand the differences between the status of each group for entrepreneurship awareness by utilizing survey data from the government. And this study was obtained from a survey of university students and the general public. A total of 3000 people nationwide survey was conducted about the entrepreneurship environment for start-ups and entrepreneurship awareness and success factors for a month. The University students survey result were classified according to the area, school and gender. And The general public survey was classified according to the area, the age and gender. Each response result indicates a significant difference between the students and the general public did not appear. But through this survey, This study would contribute the establishment of the national startup infrastructure.

The upcoming 'creativity society' beyond the knowledge information era requires 'knowledge producers' being capable of expressing their own ideas creatively, rather than 'knowledge consumers'. These days, in the computing environment, physical computing tools which support learners' productive activities beyond their simple function of operating computers are emerging. Among them, Raspberry Pi is exemplary. The computing PC worthy $35 is economic and supports implementation of interactive physical system through the H/W and programming control to detect and respond to the analog world. As a fundamental study of educational application of Raspberry Pi at elementary school and Raspberry Pi, this work was to look into characteristics, advantages and disadvantages, and application examples of the computing tool. Also this researcher conducted a survey with teachers in field to investigate the suitability of Raspberry Pi as a tool in the category of 'understanding of information devices and to explore their awareness of Raspberry Pi. As a result, it was analyzed that Raspberry Pi was a learning tool to support about 74% of educational contents and that teachers showed positive replies in all categories of the survey of their awareness.

The surveys for public awareness in relation to socio-scientific issues (SSI) have been limited to several topics such as public perception of risks about the issues and preference for some policies. To illuminate the public science culture literacy about SSI from a holistic perspective, this study aimed to develop an indicator system. For this purpose, the issue on climate change, which is currently one of the biggest issues worldwide, was adopted as a specific SSI and the framework centering on climate change was developed. Science culture literacy about SSI was defined as a lifestyle to identify SSI from various viewpoints and to cope with problems related to SSI appropriately. In the framework proposed, individual science culture indicators are divided into Potential and Activity area. The Potential consists of categories of Interest, Opinion and Understanding, whereas the Activity is composed of categories of Learning and Practice. To examine the reliability and validity of this framework statistically, the developed questionnaire was reviewed by science educators, environment experts and atmospheric scientists and was used to asked 777 secondary students. Based on the results of statistical analyses, the framework was modified and it consequently had 2 areas, 5 categories, 15 sub-categories, 34 indicators and 63 items. It is expected that the framework of science culture indicators for SSI could be used as a measurement tool for public awareness about various SSI topics.
