Effect of Job Stress on Job Satisfaction of Flight Instructors at Aviation Training Centers (전문교육기관 비행교관의 직무스트레스가 직무만족에 미치는 영향)

  • Flight instructors at aviation training centers are exposed to various stresses, such as stress caused by special work environments, stress caused by working conditions, and stress related to uncertain future airline employment. These stresses are expected to not only affect flight safety, but also adversely affect the job satisfaction of flight instructors, and consequently negatively affect the performance of high-quality flight education. Therefore, this study was conducted to understand the effects of these stresses on the job satisfaction of flight instructors by examining the stress experienced by flight instructors in flight, psychological, and physical aspects based on the results of previous studies on stress. To the end, this study conducted a survey of flight instructors belonging to aviation training centers, and as a result of analyzing the collected data, it was confirmed that the physical stress of flight instructors had a significant negative effect on their job satisfaction.

Methodology of SMS Manual Enactment for Approved Training Organization(ATO) focusing on C Flight Training Center (항공종사자 전문교육기관의 SMS 매뉴얼 제정을 위한 방법론 - C 비행훈련원의 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • This thesis is to provide procedures for documenting implementation performance and methodology of practical SMS enactment for Approved Training Organization(ATO). As an example, C flight training center, according MOLIT "Guidance on SMS Implementation", derived 32 implementation documents after writing the SMS manual to implement it. The 32 implementation documents are divided into 5 fields. In detail, they are (1) 2 documents on SMS Manual, (2) 7 documents on Safety policy and objectives (3) 3 documents on Safety risk management (4) 15 documents on Safety assurance (5) 5 documents on Safety promotion. By describing the documented performances according to these 32 implementation documents that was in use for 1 year in 2017, it is suggested that this procedure can be a methodology for practically enactment and implementing the SMS manual.

  • Due to the rapid growth of domestic and overseas airline markets, the demand for airline pilots has also been growing fast. Meeting such a market needs, central government, Ministry of Land and Transportation has set up civil airline pilot training center at Ulgin airport to train and provide the market with commercial airline pilots. Not only central government but universities in Korea also have tried to train pilots by operating flight training academies. Even though there are more than a dozen of flight training centers including colleges and private academies, there have been less efforts to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the flight training school's curriculums compared to other scholar majors in a university. Therefore this paper tried to evaluate the educational effectiveness of the curriculums using the Kirk-Patrick measurement model, which has been regarded as one of the most popular and accurate measurement tool for an empirical research in social science. According to the empirical research, it was found out the inter-personal relationship between an instructor pilot and flight trainee was perceived as the most important factor to have an impact on learning abilities and student's behaviors.

  • This study performed precision instrument landing procedures for pilots with a commercial pilot license using VR HMD flight simulators, and assuming that the center of the pilot's gaze is in the front, 3-D.O.F. head tracking data and 2-D eye tracking of VR HMD worn by pilots gaze tracking was performed through. After that, AOI (Area of Interesting) was set for the instrument panel and external field of view of the cockpit to analyze how the pilot's gaze was distributed before and after the decision altitude. At the same time, the landing results were analyzed using the Localizer and G/S data as the pilot's precision instrument landing flight data. As a result, the pilot was quantitatively evaluated by reflecting the gaze tracking and the resulting landing result using a VR HMD simulator.

  • Pilots have used checklist as a valuable tool to improve aviation safety and to reduce human error. A checklist however is too complex for a student pilot to use with less flight experience or time than a commercial pilot. It is agreed upon such complex checklist be a factor to threaten aviation safety for student pilots. This paper has focused on a checklist by dividing it into a couple of basic three flight procedures. Making exploratory case study of student pilots, researchers could analyze the correlation between checklist factors and those of human errors. First of all, it was necessary for student pilots to be educated professional knowledge regarding aircraft structures and engines to perform preflight inspection reducing human errors. Moreover it was recommended student pilots as well as maintenance crew confirm checklist together to enhance aviation safety.

  • In order to advance into the MRO industry, the Aviation maintenance organization with suitable for the standards for personnel, facilities and operations should be first approved by FAA and EASA. The purpose of study is designed to arrange the standards required for personnel, facility, operation rule for approval of Repair Station maintenance organizations certified by FAA PART 145 of the US Federal Aviation Regulation. Also to consider the following differences through the comparative analysis with domestic AMO certification of the information in the Management, Maintenance Process, and Quality System for approval of maintenance organization authorized, the additional EASA PART 145. As a comparative analysis on maintenance organization certification in the country between FAA and EASA, this study could show us that domestic maintenance organization, certified manual contents are used by applying just many of the FAA system. And we could know that as part of the EASA maintenance organization certification process, airmen personnel were relatively systematically segmented and controlled. For domestic maintenance organization certification, operational as policy implications we would like to present policy implications such as the implication of rating system of Aviation Mechanic License like EASA, the financial support of the training center to resolve the shortage of the FAA or EASA license holders, operational organization as "CAMO" for systematic aviation mechanic certified system should be required, continued construction of hangar or MRO for airworthiness repair under Governmental support, and varied application of DER system from FAA accordingly.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 공항 내 혁신시설에 대한 공항이용객의 평가를 통해 혁신적 서비스 양상과 기틀을 파악하는 것이다. 본 연구는 소비행동의 관점에서 공항이용객의 추구 혜택, 지각된 혁신성, 수용 의도, 구조화에 대한 욕구 등 4가지 개념의 이론에 근거하여 수행되었다. 공항의 혁신시설을 이용한 경험이 있는 299명 성인을 대상으로 2022년 7월 5일부터 9일까지 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 공항이용객의 추구혜택과 수용의도 간의 관계에서 공항이용객의 지각된 혁신성의 매개효과 및 공항 이용객의 추구혜택과 지각된 혁신성 간의 관계에서 구조화에 대한 욕구의 조절효과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 공항이용객의 추구 혜택은 수용 의도에 긍정적 영향을 미치고, 지각된 혁신성은 수용 의도에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 공항 이용객의 욕구에 근거하여 혁신적인 기능을 향상시켜야 함을 시사한다.

  • 공격 방법의 다양화와 지능화에 대응하기 위해 침입탐지시스템(IDS)의 성능도 향상되고 있다. 특히, 데이터 마이닝 기반의 침입탐지시스템은 기존 침입탐지시스템의 많은 문제점을 개선시켰다. 그러나 데이터 마이닝에 기반한 침입탐지시스템의 탐지 정확도가 트레이닝 데이터(training data)에 포함된 속성(features)과 선택된 axis 및 reference 속성에 의해 결정됨에도 불구하고 현재의 데이터 마이닝 기반의 침입탐지시스템은 트레이닝 데이터에 포함된 고유의 속성만을 고려하기 때문에 탐지 정확도를 향상시키는 데는 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 데이터 마이닝에 기반한 침입탐지시스템의 탐지 정확도를 향상시키기 위하여 기존 데이터 마이닝 기반의 침입탐지시스템이 고려했던 고유의 속성 외에 침입과 밀접하게 관련되고 axis및 reference속성으로도 사용될 수 있는 새로운 속성을 제안한다.

A Study on the Monitoring of VOR (VOR 전파 감시방안에 관한 연구)

  • VHF Omnidirectional Radio range(VOR) is used as an aircraft navigational aid. The VOR is a short-range air navigation system providing aircraft with its bearing relative to the ground station. The accuracy of a VOR must be checked in accordance with the current ICAO, FAA and domestic regulations. The primary purpose of performing VOR station ground checks is to minimize the need for expensive flight checks by determining the amount and direction of any course bearing inaccuracies being transmitted. In this paper we present current and advanced way of monitoring of VOR system. We verify this way by field test of the monitoring and it is a high performance way to achieve an improvement in accuracy and an effect compared to present monitoring system.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 공항 세금 환급시스템의 혁신적 특성과 중국인 탑승객의 개인 통제신념이 수용 의도에 미치는 영향을 규명하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 계획된 행동이 세금환급을 받으려는 의도에 미치는 영향에 대해 이론적으로 고찰하고 분석하였다. 공항에서 세금환급시스템을 이용한 경험이 있는 중국인 탑승객 343명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 실증 분석 결과, 시스템 혁신적 특성에서 상대적 이점, 적합성 및 복잡성이 높고, 인식된 위험이 낮을수록, 개인 통제신념에서 행동신념, 규범신념 및 통제신념이 높을수록 이용자의 수용의도가 높은 것으로 판명되었다. 이용자 채택 단계에 따른 수용 의도 간의 차이를 분석한 결과, 초기 수용자 집단이 후기 수용자 집단보다 수용 의도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이용자의 채택 단계에 따라 수용 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 차이가 있었는데, 초기 수용자 집단에서는 시스템 혁신적 특성 중 적합성과 개인 통제신념이 중요한 변수였으며, 후기 수용자 집단에서는 시스템 혁신 특성 중 인식된 위험과 규범신념을 제외한 개인의 통제신념이 중요한 변수로 분석되었다. 따라서 공항 세금 환급시스템에 대한 초기 수용자들에게는 더 많은 확신을 줄 필요가 있으며, 후기 수용자들에게는 지각된 위험을 감소시켜 주어야 할 것이다.
