정지궤도 해양관측위성 (GOCI) 자료를 이용한 광합성 유효광량 추정 (Estimating Photosynthetically Available Radiation from Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI) Data)

  • 이 연구에서는 세계최초 해색 위성인 GOCI로부터 일간 광합성 유효광량(Daily PAR)(GOCI PAR)를 추정하였고 이를 극궤도 위성인 MODIS에서 추정한 Daily PAR(MODIS PAR)와 비교하였다. 또 소청초기지 현장자료를 이용하여 GOCI PAR의 정확도를 검증하였다. GOCI PAR는 맑은 날과 구름이 있는 날 모두 현장자료와 비슷한 결과를 보이지만 MODIS PAR는 구름이 있는 날 값이 일정하지 않고, 자료 손실 등으로 인해 값이 추정되지 않는 해역도 존재하였다. 그러나 GOCI PAR와 현장자료 PAR 사이에 일정한 값의 차이가 나타나 소청초 기지의 맑은 날에 해당하는 PAR 값을 이용하여 GOCI PAR를 보정하였다. 보정 결과, 두꺼운 구름의 영향으로 광학적으로 포화된 날을 제외한 나머지 달에서 GOCI PAR 값이 현장자료 PAR 값과 거의 일치하는 것을 보였다. 연구결과, GOCI 자료는 낮 시간 동안 하루 8번의, 극궤도 위성에 비해 많은 자료를 이용하므로, 한반도 주변 해역에서 Daily PAR 생성 시 구름에 의한 이동과 자료의 부족에 의한 오차를 줄일 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

미생물제제 이용 토마토 잎곰팡이병 방제시기 및 살포회수 결정 (Determination of Proper Application Timing and Frequency for Management of Tomato Leaf Mold Disease by Commercially Available Microbial Preparations)

  • 친환경 미생물제제를 이용하여 개발된 방제프로그램에 의해 토마토 잎곰팡이병에 대한 효과를 검정하였다. 2010년 4월부터 7월까지 시설내에서 토마토 잎곰팡이병은 약 13.1% 발생하였다. PDA 배지에서 잎곰팡이병원균의 균사 생장을 50% 이상 억제한 친환경유기농자재 7종을 선발하였다. 선발된 4종 병해관리용 유기농자재는 온실에서 50% 이상의 방제효율을 나타냈으며, 최종적으로 Bacillus subtilis GB-0365와 B. subtilis KB-401 2종은 토마토 정식 20일부터 70일까지 4회 살포시 71.8% 이상의 방제효과를 나타냈으며, 3회 처리시에는 79.3%의 우수한 방제효과를 나타냈다. 따라서 토마토 친환경 유기재배농가를 위해 선발된 친환경농자재와 시기에 따른 살포방법에 의한 방제프로그램은 효율적인 모델로 이용 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

스마트 교육에 기반 한 전문대 학생들의 간호영어 학습에 대한 학습 만족도와 학업 성과 (College Students' Learning Satisfaction and Academic Achievement of Learning Nursing English Based on Smart Education)

  • 본 연구는 J대학에서 스마트 교육 지원 방안으로 구축된 모바일 학습 체제의 간호영어 학습 프로그램에 대한 학습 만족도와 학업 성과를 알아보는 데 있다. 이를 위한 연구과정은 2014년 3월부터 12월에 걸쳐 시행되었다. 연구대상은 간호학부 1학년 전체 학생 342명(남학생 39명, 여학생 303명)이었으며 학습 만족도 분석은 설문지를 통해 성취도 검사는 3명의 간호학 전공 교수진에 의해 제작된 평가지를 사용했다. 자료분석은 SPSS 21.0을 이용하여 실시했다. 분석 결과, 전체 프로그램에 대한 만족도는 '주로 사용하는 기기', '이용 시기', '사용 일수', '하루 평균 이용시간', '이용 장소' 등 모든 특성에 따라서 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났고, 프로그램 만족도의 하위항목(주제 및 내용, 유용성, 학습 역량)들 간에도 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 학생들의 성취도에 대한 시점별 점수의 변화도 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 암기 위주의 반복적인 학습이 효과적인 간호영어는 제한된 장소에서 교재에만 의존하는 것보다 이동성을 갖고 수시로 자기주도적인 학습을 끌어내는 모바일 학습이 함께 이루어질 때 더욱 이상적인 학습 시스템이 될 수 있다.

Biotransformation of Protopanaxadiol-Type Ginsenosides in Korean Ginseng Extract into Food-Available Compound K by an Extracellular Enzyme from Aspergillus niger

  • Compound K (C-K) is one of the most pharmaceutically effective ginsenosides, but it is absent in natural ginseng. However, C-K can be obtained through the hydrolysis of protopanaxadiol-type ginsenosides (PPDGs) in natural ginseng. The aim of this study was to obtain the high concentration of food-available C-K using PPDGs in Korean ginseng extract by an extracellular enzyme from Aspergillus niger KACC 46495. A. niger was cultivated in the culture medium containing the inducer carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) for 6 days. The extracellular enzyme extracted from A. niger was prepared from the culture broth by filtration, ammonium sulfate, and dialysis. The extracellular enzyme was used for C-K production using PPDGs. The glycoside-hydrolyzing pathways for converting PPDGs into C-K by the extracellular enzyme were Rb1 → Rd → F2 → C-K, Rb2 → Rd or compound O → F2 or compound Y → C-K, and Rc → Rd or compound Mc1 → F2 or compound Mc → C-K. The extracellular enzyme from A. niger at 8.0 mg/ml, which was obtained by the induction of CMC during the cultivation, converted 6.0 mg/ml (5.6 mM) PPDGs in Korean ginseng extract into 2.8 mg/ml (4.5 mM) food-available C-K in 9 h, with a productivity of 313 mg/l/h and a molar conversion of 80%. To the best of our knowledge, the productivity and concentration of C-K of the extracellular enzyme are the highest among those by crude enzymes from wild-type microorganisms.

온도와 수분활성을 달리한 보리가루 저장시 유효 Lysine의 감소 (Decrease in Available Lysine of Barley Powders during Storage at Different Water Activities and Temperatures)

  • 변온조건하에서 보리가루를 저장하였을 때 수분활성에 따른 avaible lysine의 손실을 반응속도론적으로 고찰한 결과 Avalilable lysine은 일차반응으로 감소하였으며 반응속도는 수분활성과 저장온도가 높을수록 빨랐고, 각 수분활성에서의 활성화 에너지는 $6.02{\sim}10.32Kcal/mole$, $Q_10$치는 $1.34{\sim}1.65$였다. Acelerated shelf-life test로부터 구한 $25^{\circ}C$에서의 shelf-life는 $60{\sim}216$일의 범위였으며 온도와 수분활성이 증가함에 따라 단축되었다. 변온조건에서의 실측치와 예측치를 비교한 결과 유효온도차는 $1.21{\sim}2.23^{\circ}C$였고 shelf-life는 실측치와 예측치가 약간 차이를 나타내었다.

Performance evaluation study of a commercially available smart patient-controlled analgesia pump with the microbalance method and an infusion analyzer

  • Background: Patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) has been widely used as an effective medical treatment for pain and for postoperative analgesia. However, improper dose errors in intravenous (IV) administration of narcotic analgesics from a PCA infusion pump can cause patient harm. Furthermore, opioid overdose is considered one of the highest risk factors for patients receiving pain medications. Therefore, accurate delivery of opioid analgesics is a critical function of PCA infusion pumps. Methods: We designed a microbalance method that consisted of a closed acrylic chamber containing a layer and an oil layer with an electronic balance. A commercially available infusion analyzer (IDA-5, Fluke Co., Everett, WA, USA) was used to measure the accuracy of the infusion flow rate from a commercially available smart PCA infusion pump (PS-1000, UNIMEDICS, Co., Ltd., Seoul, Korea) and compared with the results of the microbalance method. We evaluated the uncertainty of the flow rate measurement using the ISO guide (GUM:1995 part3). The battery life, delay time of the occlusion alarm, and bolus function of the PCA pump were also tested. Results: The microbalance method was good in the short-term 2 h measurement, and IDA-5 was good in the long-term 24 h measurement. The two measurement systems can complement each other in the case of the measurement time. Regarding battery performance, PS-1000 lasted approximately 5 days in a 1 ml/hr flow rate condition without recharging the battery. The occlusion pressure alarm delays of PS-1000 satisfied the conventional alarm threshold of occlusion pressure (300-800 mmHg). Average accuracy bolus volume was measured as 63%, 95%, and 98.5% with 0.1 ml, 1 ml, and 2 ml bolus volume presets, respectively. A 1 ml/hr flow rate measurement was evaluated as 2.08% of expanded uncertainty, with a 95% confidence level. Conclusion: PS-1000 showed a flow accuracy to be within the infusion pump standard, which is ± 5% of flow accuracy. Occlusion alarm of PS-1000 was quickly transmitted, resulting in better safety for patients receiving IV infusion of opioids. PS-1000 is sufficient for a portable smart PCA infusion pump.

Direct Embryo Collection(DEC)에 의한 한우의 수정란 채란 (Embryo Recovery by Direct Embryo Collection (DEC) in Korean Native Cattle (Hanwoo))

  • This study was performed in order to simplify the operation and minimize stress of donor and be readily available in the field with low cost and high quality embryos using the Direct Embryo Collection (DEC). Donors, at random stages of the estrous cycle, received a CIDR. 7 days later, 200 mg FSH was treated with 40, 30, 20, 10 mg FSH levels in declining doses twice daily by intramuscular injection for 4 days. On the 3rd day administration of FSH, 25 mg $PGF_2{\alpha}$ was administered and CIDR was withdrawn. After FSH injections were complete, donors were artificially inseminated twice at 12 hr intervals. The donor cattle received 250 ${\mu}g$ GnRH at time of 1 st insemination and embryos were recovered 8 days after the 1st insemination. Embryo collection from superovulated donors was performed to flushing by non-surgical methods of 3-way, 2-way and DEC (l-way). The average number of recovered embryos were 11.25${\pm}$0.63, 12.5${\pm}$0.65 and 11.75${\pm}$0.48 from operations of 3-way, 2-way and DEC methods, respectively. There were no significant differences among the embryo collection methods. Also, The average number of transferable embryos were 6.25${\pm}$0.48, 7.25${\pm}$0.48 and 7.25${\pm}$0.63 from each embryo collection procedures. The number of transferable embryos was no differences among the 3-way, 2-way and DEC methods, respectively. Meanwhile, the ratio of transferable embryos for all recovered embryos from DEC methods was higher as 61.7 % than 55.6 %, 58 % from methods of 3-way, 2-way. And the flushing solution required for recovering embryos by DEC method was significantly lower as 0.28${\pm}$0.32 1 than 1.8${\pm}$0.12 1, 1.75${\pm}$0.10 1 from 3-way, 2-way methods (p<0.05). Also, the time required for recovering embryos by DEC methods was significantly lower as 27${\pm}$2 min than 51${\pm}$3, 45${\pm}$2 min, respectively (p<0.05). In conclusion, these results suggest that DEC method for embryo collection may be effectively used for production of in vivo embryos using less flushing solution and, it might be effectively available in the field compared to conventional embryo recovery methods using 3-way or 2-way balloon catheter.

임플랜트 지대주 재료에 대한 치은 섬유아세포의 반응 (ATTACHMENT AND PROLIFERATION OF HUMAN GINGIVAL FIBROBLASTS ON THE IMPLANT ABUTMENT MATERIALS)

  • Purpose: The biocompatibility and bio-adhesive property of a dental implant abutment are important for proper soft tissue healing and maintenance of osseointegration of implant. However, studies of soft tissue healing and mucosal attachment of various materials of implant abutment other than titanium are still needed. In this study, cell attachment, proliferation, cytotoxicity of human gingival fibroblast for ceramic, gold alloy, Ni-Cr alloy and, commercially available pure titanium as a control were evaluated, using MTS and scanning electron microscopy. Materials and Methods: Specimen was designed to disc, 4mm diameter and 1mm thickness, made of ceramic, gold alloy, Ni-Cr alloy and commercially available pure titanium. Primary culture of human gingival fibroblasts were grown in Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium with 10% fetal bovine serum and 1% antibiotics. Cells were inoculated in the multiwell plates placed the specimen disc. Cell Titer 96 AQucous One Solution Cell Proliferation Assay were done after 1hour 3hours, 24hours, 3days, 5days of incubation. The discs were processed for scanning electron micrography to evaluate cell attachment and morphologic change. Results: The results were obtained as fellows. 1. The ceramic showed high cell attachment and proliferation and low cytotoxicity, which is as much bioadhesive and biocompatible as titanium. 2. The gold alloy represented limited proliferation of human gingival fibroblast and the highest cytotoxicity among tested materials (p<0.05). 3. The Ni-Cr alloy limited the proliferaion of the human gingival fibroblast compared to titanium(p<0.05) but cytotoxicity on the bottom of well was not so considerable, compared to titanium. 4. On the scanning electron micrographs , the ceramic showed good attachment and proliferation of human gingival fibroblast, which was similar to titanium. But gold alloy and Ni-Cr alloy showed the shrinkage of gingival fibroblast both after 24 hours and 3 days. On 5th day, small amount of the human gingival fibroblast proliferation was observed on the Ni-Cr alloy, while the shrinkage of gingival fibroblast was still observed on the gold alloy. Conclusions: These results suggest that the ceramic abutment is as biocompatible as titanium to make proper mucosal seal. The gold alloy has a high cytotoxicity to limit proliferation of gingival fibroblast, which suggest limited use on the anterior tooth where soft tissue healing is recommeded.

제주도토양의 무기태인산(無機態燐酸) 조성(組成)과 유효인산의 정량법(定量法) 비교(比較) (A Study on Composition of Inorganic phosphorus Forms and Methods of Determining Available Phosphorus in Volcanic Ash)

  • 4종(種)의 제주도 토양에 인산질비료(燐酸質肥料)를 시용(施用)한후 무기태인산(無機態燐酸)의 형태별(形態別) 함량변화와 수종 침출액(浸出液)에 의한 유효인산(有效燐酸) 침출량(浸出量)을 실내실험으로 조사(調査)하여 비교(比較) 검토한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. 총인산에 대한 무기태인산(無機態燐酸)의 비율(比率)은 토양종류에 따라 달라 Al-P는 6.9-28.8%, Fe-P는 24.1~26.9%, Ca-P는 7.4~11.9% 범위이며 유효인산(有效燐酸)은 0.7-8.0%로 매우 낮았다. 2. 토양종류별로 인산(燐酸)을 시용(施用)한 후(後) 60일후(日後)에 조사(調査)한 토양인산의 형태별(形態別) 조성(組成)을 본 결과(結果) 흑색토(黑色土)에서는 Al-P>Fe-P> Ca-P, 농암갈색토(濃暗褐色土)에서는 Fe-P> Al-P> Ca-P, 암갈색토(暗褐色土)에서는 Fe-P> Ca-P> Al-P. 적황색토(赤黃色土)에서는 Fe-P> Al-P> Ca-P의 순(順)으로 나타나 토양별 차이(差異)가 있었다. 3. 5종(種)의 침출액(浸出液)으로 토양별 유효인산(有效燐酸)을 검정한 결과(結果) Bray No.2법(法)은 토양종류에 관계없이 어느 토양에서나 침출능(浸出能)이 컸으나 그 외의 방법(方法)들은 토양의 종류별(種類別)로 침출능(浸出能)이 상이(相異)하게 나타났다. 4. 유효인산(有效燐酸) 침출방법(浸出方法)과 무기태인산(無機態燐酸) 함량(含量)과의 관계에서 Bray No.2법(法)은 Ca-P와 5%수준에서, Olsen법(法)은 Al-P, Fe-P, Ca-P 및 Total-P와 각각 1%수준에서 유의(有意)한 관계를 보였다.

현 입원의료이용량의 급성기진료 및 장기요양 서비스 재분류 (Reclassification of healthcare utilization of inpatients to estimate the demand for long-term care services)

  • With an economic development and epidemiologic transition, the burden of disease due to chronic diseases and accidents is increasing. However, in most of developing countries, long-term care facilities are not available, therefore acute care facilities should provide both acute and long-term care services. It is also true in Korea. The demand for long-term care services needs to be estimated to establish the adequate supply system of health resources. This article introduces the reclassification methodology of inpatients' healthcare utilization to acute and long-term care services. All discharged patients from hospitals for one month were analyzed. The distribution of inpatients' hospital days were fitted to Chi-squared distribution by ICD disease categories, and they were grouped in five clusters. For each cluster, the lower and upper limit of classification criteria to acute and long-term care services were chosen. Summarizing all hospital days corresponding to acute and long-term care respectively, 24 to 28 percent of inpatient services fumed out to be long-term care services. The study results are consistent with those of the existing studies. They can be used practically in the allocation of long-term care resources.
