  • In this paper, the diode bridge-type ZVT(Zero-Voltage Transition) inverter is proposed. It consists of one auxiliary switch, three resonant inductors and six blocking diodes. So, the advantage of the proposed topology is the reduction of the auxiliary switch. The topology of the proposed ZVT inverter is analyzed with a description of the control conditions based on the load current. Therefore, this paper two control algorithms were discussed. A variable resonant pattern control algorithm by using load current feedback and a resonant period control algorithm by using resonant inductor current feedback is proposed in order to achieve the ZVT switching condition in full control range and the reducing current spike main switches cause by reverse recovery problem.

유도전동기의 무정류자 크레므형 슬립전력회수 시스템의 적정설계 및 고효율화 운전에 관한 연구 (A study on optimum design and high efficiency operation for commutatorless Kramer type slip power recovery system of induction motor)

  • In this dissertation, a complete model of commutatorless static Kramer type slip power recovery system of 3.phi. induction motor has been designed and tested in the laboratory, and the experimental results are compared with the numerical values. The main results of this study are summerized as follows. (1) Maintenance and repair of the mechanical commutator is obviated by adopting a thyristor commutator in place of the mechanical commutator in the conventional Kramer system. (2) The experimental results of developed torque, and stator current are generally coincided with the numerical values obtained by the derived equation, proving their validity. (3) This system is simulated and the following operational characteristics are obtained with suitable design values : (a) The speed control range of 7:1 is obtained when the turn ratio of induction motor is lowered to about 3:1 to 4:1 and the generating constant of auxiliary synchronous motor is increased to 120-175 range. (b) Its efficiency can be increased to 75-85%, the range for static Scherbius system and its power factor takes values in the range of 65-85%, which is twice of the range for static Scherbius system.

  • This paper presents the characteristic analysis and experiment of force characteristics in permanent magnet linear synchronous motor for accuracy prediction of linear motion machine tools. In particular, the pitching moment resulting from attraction force ripple has been analysed and tested. Firstly, we analysed the characteristics of detent force, attraction force, and pitching moment in permanent magnet linear synchronous motor according to the design techniques such as auxiliary teeth, chamfering, and permanent magnet skewing. In addition, we suggested the experimental set for measurement of pitching moment. Finally, the results from measurement shows the good agreement with those obtained from finite element analysis results.

  • TFLIM(Transverse Flux Linear Induction Motor), making its closed magnetic path with the direction of the traveling field orthogonal, had been developed to decrease an edge effect of the general induction motor. To control the levitation force and the thrust force on the secondary part of TFLIM independently, the various methodologies have been presented. When we try to achieve the independent control using only the multi-phase inputs assigned in the stator coils as an approach, in which condition we can minimize the coupling effect between two forces\ulcorner In this paper, we show the qualitative influence of a slip frequency, an ac magnitude, a dc offset superposed in the ac power, and a major parameter of TFLIM on the couple through the computer simulation. And to realize the independent motions between levitation and thrust motion without any auxiliary means fur isolation of the secondary part of TFLIM, the decouple compensator is suggested, including the experimental results.

  • It is essential to evaluate harmonic characteristics of high speed train using power electronics equipment such as converter-driven motor drives, battery chargers and auxiliary power supplies. The purpose of this study is to measure and analyze harmonics characteristics of korea high speed train prototype. This paper presents result of harmonics measurement and analysis of harmonics characteristics in terms of loading, speed and operation mode.

  • 본 논문에서는 양측식 영구자석 선형 동기 전동기(Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor: 이하 PMLSM)의 전기자 분산배치를 위해 전기자에 보조치 및 Offset에 의해 나타나는 단부 코깅력을 해석하였다. 또한 가장 낮은 단부 코깅력을 가지는 Offset 위치에 대하여 역기전력을 분석하였으며 이에 따른 추력 특성에 대한 고찰을 수행하였다.

  • Generally PI controller is used in the servo system, But the time response of the system which is designed by the PI control scheme is deviated from the desired time response by the system parameter variation or the perturbation like the torque disturbance. LMFC(Linear Model Following Controller) is used to make the response of the system follow that of the model even though the parameter variation or the perturbation exists. In this paper, the design method which uses auxiliary model to construct the robustness enhancer in LMFC is proposed. And this robustness enhancer is designed by robust control theory. The proposed method has facter convergence time against low frequency torque disturbance than LMFC. The results are verified by SIMULINK simulation and experiments.

  • This paper proposes a novel 16/10 segmented rotor switched reluctance motor (SSRM) for belt-driven starter generators (BSGs). Different from conventional SRMs, the stator of the proposed SSRM consists of two types of stator poles, i.e., exciting and auxiliary poles, and the rotor is constructed from a series of discrete segments. The topology and operation principle of this proposed SSRM are illustrated firstly, and then the design rules are listed. In addition, the finite element method (FEM) is employed to get the static and dynamic characteristics of the proposed SSRM. Finally, the simulation results are presented to show the validity of the proposed SSRM for BSGs.

  • This paper presents a circuit of the quasi-resonant DC link to achieve soft-switching three phase inverter using intelligent IGBT power module. The soft-switching operation in this circuit is confirmed simulation and experimental results. Its conductive noise is measured for electrical AC motor drive as compared with that of the conventional hard switching inverter.

  • This paper presents a simple electronic stater for single phase induction motor(SPIM). To obtain a starting torque, the phase angle of the auxiliary winding is controlled using simple gate trigger control circuit. Because of this electronic stater circuit consists of some passive element and switching device, it is simple and robust. The experimental result shows some good results, and verifies the proposed electronic starter.
