With the recent surge in the autonomous driving market, the significance of lane detection technology has escalated. Lane detection plays a pivotal role in autonomous driving systems by identifying lanes to ensure safe vehicle operation. Traditional lane detection models rely on engineers manually extracting lane features from predefined environments. However, real-world road conditions present diverse challenges, hampering the engineers' ability to extract adaptable lane features, resulting in limited performance. Consequently, recent research has focused on developing deep learning based lane detection models to extract lane features directly from data. In this paper, we classify lane detection models into four categories: cluster-based, curve-based, information propagation-based, and anchor-based methods. We conduct an extensive analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of each approach, evaluate the model's performance on an embedded board, and assess their practicality and effectiveness. Based on our findings, we propose future research directions and potential enhancements.

As shared electric kick scooters spread to cities worldwide as a result of the proliferation of personal mobility, they have emerged as a significant social issue, impacting pedestrian and user safety, as well as urban aesthetics. In this study, we propose solutions to the unique problems associated with shared electric kick scooters, such as illegal parking, charging, and redistribution. Furthermore, we present research on supplementary services utilizing electric kick scooters in urban areas to enhance citizen safety and user satisfaction through the development of an autonomous electric kick scooter system structure and operational strategies. We suggest a low-cost autonomous electric kick scooter structure and propose AI processing, sensor fusion, and system operation methods to add autonomous capabilities to affordable electric kick scooters. Additionally, we propose operational systems and related technologies for offering various supplementary services.

In the paper, we design a autonomous mobile robot for freight transportation and propose an operation method of the robot in the warehouse. In order to implement autonomous navigation, it is needed to recognize the position of the robot and track the path to the target. Previous methods are hard to change the workspace environment and need high cost to install and keep a maintenance of the system. The lifter of freight transportation robot is designed to load and unload a baggage through up and down motion. Also, ultrasonic sensor, RFID, QR-code and camera sensor is used to carry out various functions while the robot navigates in the various environment. We design an operation method of the mobile robot in order to effectively arrive a goal position and transport a freight. The proposed methods are verified through various experiments.
The maritime autonomous surface ship is automatically collects and manages various information necessary for the operation to minimize human intervention and safely perform the mission assigned to the ship. And the ship may autonomously operate the partial or entire route to the destination determined by the ship himself. This ship navigation technology allows partially remote control the ship to be operated if necessary. The maritime autonomous surface ship (MASS) should collect and manage signals of various navigation communication equipments and engines mounted on the ship for safe operation. This requires a common platform technology. In this paper, we propose a common platform that is the core of smart ship implementation. Territorial authorities and ships are connected by satellite or terrestrial communication. In such a communication environment, information is exchanged smoothly in real time. This allows the onshore authorities to monitor ships and provide remote control to enable safe vessel navigation at sea.

The era of autonomous vehicles, which drive themselves and in whose operation the driver does not intervene, is fast approaching. The safety of autonomous vehicles can be guaranteed only if they recognize the road infrastructure. However, the road infrastructure consists of road safety facilities, traffic operation systems, and cross-sectional concerns, which include a variety of components, such as types, shapes, and sizes. Therefore, it is necessary to prioritize the road information. This study was conducted to select the priority with which the road infrastructure attributes should be acquired using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method. The road infrastructure attributes were categorized into 2 levels, levels 1 and 2, which consisted of 3 and 26 types of attributes, respectively. As a result of the AHP analysis, it was found that the highest priorities of the road infrastructure are the road safety facilities, traffic operation systems and cross sectional concerns. Also, in level-2, the priorities of the safety barriers (road safety facilities), traffic signals (traffic operation systems), and the median (cross sectional) are the highest. Also, this study provides application examples of road infrastructure extraction with the Point Cloud. The results are expected to support the recognition of technology for autonomous vehicles.
Recently, various digital technology issues such as e-Navigation, Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship (MASS) and Smart ships have constantly emerged in the maritime industry, based on the fourth industrial revolution. The International Maritime Organization is gradually tightening regulations for marine safety and marine environmental protection, and these strengthened regulations are leading to new maritime industries. Thus, the purpose of this study was to design a suitable model to analyze the industrial competitiveness of domestic autonomous operation technology industry, based on the Porter's diamond model. Based on a total of five evaluation factors and 13 detailed factors, the industrial competitiveness of the domestic autonomous operation technology industry was evaluated qualitatively and quantitatively. This industry, which is in the early stage of industrial development, was evaluated as 16.9 points relative to indexing industrial competitiveness. Currently, it is characterized by the simultaneous development of related regulations and core technologies, from the establishment of the scope of the industry. The industrial competitiveness evaluation considering these industrial characteristics is expected to serve as the basis for strategic support and new industrial policy, and impact a wide range of related industries such as shipping, logistics, ports, and shipbuilding and equipment industries.
As the 4th industrial revolution has recently become a hot topic, the importance of autonomous vehicles has increased and interest has been increasing worldwide, and accidents involving autonomous vehicles have also occurred. With the development of autonomous vehicles, the possibility of a cyber-hacking threat to the car network is increasing. Various countries, including the US, UK and Germany, have developed guidelines to counter cyber-hacking of autonomous vehicles, In the case of Korea, limited temporary operation of autonomous vehicles is being carried out, but the legal system to be applied in case of accidents caused by vehicle network hacking is insufficient. In this paper, based on the existing legal system, we examine the civil liability caused by the cyber hacking of the autonomous driving car, while we propose a law amendment suited to the characteristics of autonomous driving car and a legal system improvement plan that can give sustainable trust to autonomous driving car.

As the technology and level of autonomous vehicles advance and they drive in more diverse road environments, an intuitive and efficient interaction system is needed to resolve and respond to the situations the vehicle faces. The development of driving technology from the perspective of autonomous driving has the ultimate goal of responding to situations involving humans or more. In particular, in complex road environments where mutual concessions must be made, the role of a system that can respond flexibly through efficient communication methods to understand each other's situation between vehicles or between pedestrians and vehicles is important. In order to resolve the status of the vehicle or the situation being faced, the provision and method of information must be intuitive and the efficient operation of an autonomous vehicle through interaction with intention is required. In this paper, we explain the vehicle structure and functions that can display information about the situation in which the autonomous vehicle driving in a living lab can drive stably and efficiently in a diverse and complex environment.

Many kinds of telemetry should be monitored to check the state of spacecraft and it leads the time consumption. However, it is very important to define the status of satellite in short time because the contact number and time of low earth orbit satellite is limited. Also, on-board fault management should be prepared for non-contact operation because of the sever space environment. In this paper, on-board and ground autonomous operation method for the safety enhancement is described. Immediate fault detection and response is possible in ground by explicit anomaly detection through satellite event and error information. Also, satellite operation assistant system is proposed for ground autonomy that collect event sequence in accordance with related telemetry and recommend or execute an appropriate action for abnormal state. Critical parameter monitoring method with checking rate, mode and threshold is developed for on-board autonomous fault management. If the value exceeds the limit, pre-defined command sequence is executed.

The researches on the Internet based tole-operation have received increased attention for the past few years. In this paper, we implement the Internet based tele-operating system. In order to transmit robustly the surroundings and control information of the robot, we make a data as a packet type. Also in order to transmit a very large image data, we use PEG compressive algorithm. The central problem in the Internet based tele-operation is the data transmission latency or data-loss. For this specific problem, we introduce an autonomous mobile robot with a 2-layer fuzzy controller. Also, we implement the color detection system and the robot can perceive the object. We verify the efficacy of the 2-layer fuzzy controller by applying it to a robot that is equipped with various input sensors. Because the 2-layer fuzzy controller can control robustly the robot with various inputs and outputs and the cost of control is low, we hope it will be applied to various sectors.
