  • 최근 승용차의 급격한 수요증가와 더불어 차량의 승차감 개선에 많은 관심이 집중되면서, 저진동 저소음 차량에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 연구의 일부로서, 수치해석법 및 진동실험에 의하여 복잡한 전체 구조물을 해석할 경우, 계산기의 기억용량, 계산시간, 비용이 많이 들게 되고, 한번 해석을 행한 구조물을 부분적으로 변경할지라도 전체의 계산을 다시 수행해야만 한다. 그래서, 복잡한 전체 구조물을 몇 개의 부분구조물로 나누어, 분계의 특성에 맞게 각기 수치해석법이나 모달실험을 적용한 후, 다시 합성하는 방법이 제시되었는데, 이것이 부분구조합성법이다. 이 방법을 사용하면, 유한요소 모델링이 쉬운 분계와 실험이 쉬운 분계를 서로 구분하여 각기 해석한 후 합성함으로써, 각 분계의 특성에 맞는 효율적인 해석을 수행할 수가 있다. 지금까지의 연구를 살펴보면, 유한요소해석에 의한 모드합성법에서는 Hurty가 구속모드법을 제안한 이래, 불구속모드법, 주종계법 등 많은 연구가 있었으나, 실험모달해석을 병행할 경우에는 결합부에서의 회전자유도의 처리문제, 특성 행렬의 동정문제, 많은 절점으로부터 데이타를 얻어야 하는 등의 어려움이 있었다. 이러한 문제를 개선시켜서 Hermanski등은 회전자유도가 보간된 모드합성법(interpolated mode synthesis, IMS)을 연구하여, 적은 실험데이타만을 사용하면서 단순지지 보에 적용함으로써 타당성을 입증하였다. 한편, 차체는 복잡한 부분구조물들로 이루어져 있으므로, 본 연구에서는 유한요소모델링의 용이함, 실험의 간편성, 계산의 효율성등을 추구하며, 실험과 유한요소해석을 병행한 부분구조합성법을 차량의 BIW(body in white)에 적용하는 방법을 연구하게 되었다. 그 기본연구로서 실험과 유한요소해석을 병행하여 회전자유도를 보간하는 방법을 먼저 단순한 판구조물에 적용을 하고, 나아가 실제 BIW를 축소하여 자체 제작한 모형차에 적용시켜 보았다.물은 분계 A(16개의 사각요소)와 분계 B(8개의 사각요소)로 이루어져 있으며 두개의 스프링으로 결합되어 있다. 설계변수는 강성에 국한하였으며 결합부의 결합형태는 탄성결합과 강결합으로 하였다. 감도해석과 축소임피던스 합성법에 의해 구해진 고유진동수와 FRF를 상용 유한 요소 해석 패키지인 MSC/NASTRAN을 통하여 검증하여 이 연구의 타당성을 검토하였다.인풋기어에서의 회전수 변동을 측정하고, 이 실험 데이타를 기초로 하여 엔진 토크 및 변속기에서의 드래그 토크를 계산하여 엔진-변속기 인풋기어의 반한정계 2자유도 진동모델과 비틀림 특성을 가진 클러치 디스크의 프리댐퍼 영역에 대해 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 클러치 비틀림 기구의 설계인자인 비틀림 강성, 히스테리시스 토크에 따른 비틀림 진동 저감 효과를 연구하고자 한다.성을 확인하였다. 여기서는 실험실 수준의 평 판모델을 제작하고 실제 현장에서 이루어질 수 있는 진동제어 구조물에 대 한 동적실험 및 FRS를 수행하는 과정과 동일하게 따름으로써 실제 발생할 수 있는 오차나 error를 실험실내의 차원에서 파악하여 진동원을 있는 구조 물에 대한 진동제어기술을 보유하고자 한다. 이용한 해마의 부피측정은 해마경화증 환자의 진단에 있어 육안적인 MR 진단이 어려운 제한된 경우에만 실제적 도움을 줄 수 있는 보조적인 방법으로 생각된다.ofile whereas relaxivity at high field is not affected by τS. A basic study on explosion pressure of hydrogen tank for hydrogen fueled vehicles in road tunnels (도로터널에서 수소 연료차 수소탱크 폭발시 폭발압력에 대한 기초적 연구)

  • Hydrogen fuel is emerging as an new energy source to replace fossil fuels in that it can solve environmental pollution problems and reduce energy imbalance and cost. Since hydrogen is eco-friendly but highly explosive, there is a high concern about fire and explosion accidents of hydrogen fueled vehicles. In particular, in semi-enclosed spaces such as tunnels, the risk is predicted to increase. Therefore, this study was conducted on the applicability of the equivalent TNT model and the numerical analysis method to evaluate the hydrogen explosion pressure in the tunnel. In comparison and review of the explosion pressure of 6 equivalent TNT models and Weyandt's experimental results, the Henrych equation was found to be the closest with a deviation of 13.6%. As a result of examining the effect of hydrogen tank capacity (52, 72, 156 L) and tunnel cross-section (40.5, 54, 72, 95 m2) on the explosion pressure using numerical analysis, the explosion pressure wave in the tunnel initially it propagates in a hemispherical shape as in open space. Furthermore, when it passes the certain distance it is transformed a plane wave and propagates at a very gradual decay rate. The Henrych equation agrees well with the numerical analysis results in the section where the explosion pressure is rapidly decreasing, but it is significantly underestimated after the explosion pressure wave is transformed into a plane wave. In case of same hydrogen tank capacity, an explosion pressure decreases as the tunnel cross-sectional area increases, and in case of the same cross-sectional area, the explosion pressure increases by about 2.5 times if the hydrogen tank capacity increases from 52 L to 156 L. As a result of the evaluation of the limiting distance affecting the human body, when a 52 L hydrogen tank explodes, the limiting distance to death was estimated to be about 3 m, and the limiting distance to serious injury was estimated to be 28.5~35.8 m.

  • The exoskeleton robot to assist walking of hemiplegia patients or disabled persons has been studied in this paper. The exoskeleton robot with degrees of freedom of 2 axis has been developed and tested for joint motion. The obtained EMG signal from normal person was analyzed and the control signal was extracted from it for convenient and automotive performance of assistance robot to help hemiplegia patient walks as normal person does. the purpose of using FES(Functional Electrical Stimulation) for hemiplegia patient's walk is to restore damaged body function by this, but this could give fatal electrical shock to patients by wrong use or cause quick fatigue in muscle by continuous stimulation. The convenient movement of hemiplegia patients with minimum muscle fatigue was looked possibly by operation of assistance robot exoskeleton using control signal. and the walking assistance exoskeleton robot seemed works more efficiently than using FES stimulator. The experiment in this study was performed based on usual motion in our life like walking, standing-up, sitting-down, and particularly feedback control system using Piezo sensor along with button switch was applied for smooth swing motion in walking. The experiment also shows that hemiplegia patients can move conveniently by using electromyogram signal of healthy leg for the operation signal of assistance robot system attached at damaged symmetrical leg.

Effect of CeO2 Addition on De-CH4 and NOx Performance (CH4와 NOx 저감 성능에 관한 CeO2 첨가의 영향)

  • Due to environmental pollution, hazards of the human body, and global warning, changes in the power train of automobiles are intensifying, and the market forelectronic vehicles is rising. Also, in order to meet the stricter emission regulations forautomobiles with internal combustion engines based on fossil fuel, the proportion of after-treatments for vehicles and vessels is increasing gradually. The objective of this study is to investigate the effectsfrom additive ceric oxide ($CeO_2$) loading amounts to improve the methane ($CH_4$) and nitric oxide (NOx) abatement ability of the natural gas oxidation catalysts(NGOC) reducing toxic gases emitted from compressed natural gas (CNG) buses. Three kinds of NGOC were prepared under the following conditions: fresh and $700^{\circ}C$ for 12hr thermal aging, and the reduction performance of toxic gases was evaluated. Fresh $1Pt-3Pd-1Rh-3MgO-6CeO_2/(Al+Z)$ NGOC containing 6wt% $CeO_2$ had the highest dispersivity of palladium (Pd) with high selectivity to $CH_4$ and improved harmful gas reduction performance. The NGOC with 6wt% $CeO_2$ loaded the least decreased in the dispersivity of the noble metal, and showed the highest reduction of harmful gases due to the thermal durability of $CeO_2$.

Effect of Si contents on Tensile-Shear Peak Load and Nugget Diameter in the Resistance Spot Welded of Dual Phase Steel for Automotive Body Applications (자동차 차체용 냉연 DP강 저항점용접부의 너깃경과 인장전단강도에 미치는 Si 함유량의 영향)

  • 원가 측면에서 유리한 저항점용접(Resistance Spot Welding)이 차체 용접에 80%이상으로 가장 많이 적용되고 있다. 첨단고강도강(Advanced High Strength Steel)의 저항점용접성 및 용접부 특성에 미치는 공정 변수의 영향에 대한 연구결과는 많으나, 합금원소의 영향에 대해서는 전무하다. 특히, Si는 DP(Dual Phase)강에 첨가 시 균일한 마르텐사이트의 분포를 촉진하는 원소로 저항 점용접성 및 용접부 특성에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되며, 이에 대한 연구는 보고된바 없다. 본 연구에서는 냉연 DP강의 저항 점용접시 중요한 인자 중 하나인 너깃경과 전단인장강도에 미치는 Si함유량의 영향을 검토하였다. 사용된 강재 및 용접기는 1.2mm 두께의 Si함유량(0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5wt%)이 다른 인장강도 780~1000MPa급 냉연 DP강과 단상 AC용접기를 사용하였다. 용접조건은 ISO 18278-2규격에 따라 가압력 4kA, 초기가압시간 40cycle, 유지시간 17cycle로 고정하고, 용접전류만 변화하여 용접을 실시하였다. 너깃경은 용접부 단면을 컷팅 후 폴리싱 하여, 광학현미경과 Image Pro plus를 이용하여 측정했으며, 인장시편규격은 JIS Z 3137를 이용하였다. Si함유량이 증가에 따라 스패터 발생 전류는 감소했고, 너깃경은 직선적으로 증가했다. Si함유량 증가에 따른 너깃경 증가 이유는 저항(R) 측정결과, Si함유량 증가에 따라 모재의 저항이 높아져, 따라서 입열량($Q=I^2Rt$)이 많아지기 때문으로 판단되었다. 인정전단강도는 Si함유량 증가에 따라 직선적으로 증가했다. 이러한 이유는 Si함유량 증가에 따라 너깃경이 증가되기 때문으로 판단되었고, 너깃경과 인장전단강도 사이에 직선적 관계(PL(kN)=$3.2N_{dia.}$-0.81, $R^2$=0.93)를 가지고 있었다. 파단양상은 Si함유량에 상관없이 5.4kA이하에서는 계면파단이 일어났고, 6.0kA이상에서는 풀 아웃 파단이 일어났다. 계면파단주원인은 용접부 가장자리에 지름이 약 $5{\mu}m$이하의 예리한 노치가 존재하여 노치응력집중과 HAZ계면 근처에 미접합부가 존재하기 때문으로 판단되었다. 6.0kA이상에서는 예리한 노치가 없었고, HAZ부가 완전히 접합되어 있기 때문에 풀 아웃 파단이 일어난 것으로 판단되었다. 따라서, Si함유량 증가에 따라 적정용접전류 구간은 감소했고, 너깃경은 직선적으로 증가했다. 또한, Si함유량 증가에 따라 인장전간강도는 증가 했으며, 너깃경과 인장전단강도 사이에 직선적 관계를 가지고 있었다. 파단 양상은 Si함유량에 상관없이 5.2kA이하에서는 계면파단이, 6.0kA이상에서는 풀 아웃 파단이 일어났다.

  • Squat exercise is one of the important free weight exercises that can safely and effectively expect the athletic performance by establishing the rationale. Therefore, it is necessary to study the side effects caused by incorrect exercise, scientific countermeasures and to develop a exercise estimation model. It is effective and accurate to use a variety of assistive devices to calibrate athletic posture. The issues of the structural analysis for designing a foot plate for squat exercise is to model the behavior by the dynamic behavior. It should be consider that the center of gravity of each segmented body is different when the maximum load is applied. It is applied to complete system design through simulation method with kinematic dynamic, ground reaction force and load analysis for the free weight exercise equipment, VR device, and safety foot plate. In this paper, the authors propose the design method for the vertical load distribution applied in the design of the foot plate used for the squat exercise mechanism, and based on these results, design make the more safe and reliable free weight exercise equipment system.

Development of Low-Cost, Double-Speed, High-Precision Operation Control System for Range Extender Engine (레인지 익스텐더 전기자동차 엔진용 저가형 2단속도 고정밀 운전제어시스템 개발)

  • The range extender vehicle runs on a mechanism that allows the small power generation engine to start in the most efficient specific operating range to charge the battery and extend the mileage. In this study, we developed a step motor type intake air supply system that replaces existing throttle body system to develop a simple low cost control logic system. The system was applied to the existing base engine, and in order to improve the performance by increasing the amount of intake air, the effect of changing the length of the intake and exhaust manifold was experimentally examined. As a result, the Type B intake air control actuator operated by one step motor showed higher performance than the Type A in all the operation region, but the performance was lower than that of the base engine due to the increase of flow resistance. To improve this, it was confirmed that the engine performance was improved at both speeds of 2200rpm and 4300rpm when the 140mm adapter was installed in the intake manifold and when the newly designed 70mm exhaust manifold was applied. Through this process, high - precision operation control was realized by connecting the generator load to the optimized engine for the range extender electric vehicle. Experimental results showed that the speed change rate was within ${\pm}2.5%$ at 2200rpm in 1st stage and 4300rpm in 2nd stage and the speed follow-up result of 610 rpm/s was obtained when the speed was increased from 2200rpm to 4300rpm.

Modularization of Automotive Product Architecture: Evidence from Passenger Car (자동차 아키텍처의 모듈화: 승용차 사례를 중심으로)

  • How has the passenger car's architecture evolved? In the meantime, the discussions on the car architecture have been mixed, i.e., integral, modular, and the coexistence of two types. Therefore, in this study, we aim to develop two indices can measure the degree of modularization of passenger car and its all modules using global trade data. By applying the indices to the framework of architecture positioning that reflects the hierarchical structure of a product, we examined that the degree of modularization of the passenger car architecture has been enhanced. Meanwhile, the degree of modularization differs across the modules that make up the car. Specifically, we observed the higher degree of modularization in front-end, cockpit and seat modules. Whereas, we found that body module had a relatively low degree of modularization. In particular, we observed that the platform of passenger car has notably modularized due to carmakers' efforts to achieve model diversification and reduction of cost and period in new product development at the same time. Interestingly, we showed that three modules, i.e., engine, chassis (relatively less modularized), and transmission (relatively highly modularized), had a different level of modularization, even if they commonly make up the platform. We contribute to the suggestion for analytical approaches that examine the degree of modularization and its progress longitudinally. In addition, we propose the necessity of decomposition of a system into elements in a study of product architecture, considering the possibly distinctive progress of modularization across the elements.

A Study on the Haptic Control Technology for Unmanned Military Vehicle Driving Control (무인차량 원격주행제어를 위한 힘반향 햅틱제어 기술에 관한 연구)

  • This paper describes the developments to improve the feeling and safety of the remote control system of unmanned vehicles. Generally, in the case of the remote control systems, a joystick-type device or a simple steering-wheel are used. There are many cases, in which there are operations without considering the feedback to users and driving feel. Recently, as the application area of the unmanned vehicles has been extended, the problems caused by not considering the feedback are emphasized. Therefore, the need for a force feedback-haptic control arises to solve these problems. In this study, the force feedback-haptic control algorithm considering the vehicle parameters is proposed. The vehicle parameters include first the state variables of dynamics, such as the body side-slip angle (${\beta}$) and yawrate (${\gamma}$), and second, the parameters representing the driving situations. Force feedback-haptic control technology consists of the algorithms for general and specific situations, and considers the situation transition process. To verify the algorithms, a simulator was constructed using the vehicle dynamics simulation tool with CAN communication environment. Using the simulator, the feasibility of the algorithms was verified in various scenarios.

A Study on the Method for Managing Hazard Factors to Support Operation of Automated Driving Vehicles on Road Infrastructure (자율주행시스템 운행지원을 위한 도로 인프라 측면의 위험 요소 관리 방안)

  • As the competition among the autonomous vehicle (AV, here after) developers are getting fierce, Korean government has been supporting developers by deregulating safety standards and providing financial subsidies. Recently, some OEMs announced their plans to market Lv3 and Lv4 automated driving systems. However, these market changes raised concern among public road management sectors for monitoring road conditions and alleviating hazardous conditions for AVs and human drivers. In this regards, the authors proposed a methodology for monitoring road infrastructure to identify hazardous factors for AVs and categorizing the hazards based on their level of impact. To evaluate the degrees of the harm on AVs, the authors suggested a methodology for managing road hazard factors based on vehicle performance features including vehicle body, sensors, and algorithms. Furthermore, they proposed a method providing AVs and road management authorities with potential risk information on road by delivering them on the monitoring map with node and link structure.
