  • The purpose of this research is to discuss the development history and future strategy of Geely Automobile Group Co., Ltd. Founded in 1997, Geely Automotive Group has grown from a small workshop to one of China's leading automakers after nearly three decades of development.This paper first reviews the development of Geely Automobile, from the initial small-scale production to the current global layout and diversified product line. Secondly, it analyzes the challenges and opportunities faced by Geely Automobile, including the intensification of market competition and the changing demand for technological innovation.And put forward the future development strategy of Geely Automobile, including improving the quality of products, expanding the international market and promoting the development of new energy vehicles. By analyzing the development history and future strategy of Geely Automobile Group Co., Ltd., we can better understand the company's position and future development direction in China's automobile industry.

  • 자동차산업은 높은 수준의 전문화, 많은 생산량과 같은 특징을 가진 진입장벽이 높은 산업중 하나이다. 자동차 제조기업의 물류아웃소싱은 여러 회사에 아웃소싱을 주기보다는 특정 물류 서비스에 대해 독점 제공업자와 장기계약을 체결하거나, 한 개 이상의 물류서비스제공업자에게 물류의 특정영역 혹은 전부를 맡기는 계약을 체결하기도 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 서로 다른 물류아웃소싱 전략을 활용하고 있는 자동차 제조기업의 특성에 대한 분석을 통해 자동차 제조기업의 물류아웃소싱 유형별 특징을 도출하고, 장 단점을 비교하여 시사점을 제시하는 데 있다. 특히 우리나라 현대-기아차의 물류를 담당하고 있는 현대글로비스 사례를 중심으로 물류혁신과 효율적인 물류서비스 제공이 글로벌 공급사슬통합에 어떠한 효과를 미치는지에 대해 분석하였다.

  • This paper focuses on a BOM(Bill of Materials) management problem for a small and medium manufacturing company that produce automobile parts. Automobile part's manufacturers produce various products due to various automobile characteristics such as types, colors, and the other options of car. These products are classified into product groups with common parts. And each product group is regarded as a product family. This paper proposes an efficient and effective EXCEL-based BOM management scheme using characteristics of the product family. And we have implemented the practical EXCEL-based BOM management system for real small and medium automobile part's manufacturing companies.

랜덤포레스트를 이용한 모기업의 하향 거래처 기업의 분류: 자동차 부품산업의 가치사슬을 중심으로 (Classification of Parent Company's Downward Business Clients Using Random Forest: Focused on Value Chain at the Industry of Automobile Parts)

  • 가치사슬은 경쟁우위 강화를 위한 전략적 도구로써 주로 기업수준, 산업수준에서 분석되어 왔다. 그런데 기업수준에서 가치사슬 분석을 수행하기 위해서는 분석 기업의 거래처 기업들이 그 기업의 가치 사슬에 속하는지의 여부에 따라 분류되어야 한다. 단일 기업에 대한 가치사슬 분류는 전문가들에 의해 원활히 수행될 수 있지만 다수의 기업을 대상으로 분류할 때는 많은 비용과 시간이 소요되는 등의 한계점이 따른다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 실거래 데이터를 기반으로 특정 기업의 거래처 기업들을 분류해서 가치사슬 기업을 자동적으로 도출해주는 모형을 제안하고자 한다. 총 19개의 거래 속성 변수를 실거래 데이터로부터 도출하여 기계학습의 입력 데이터의 형태로 가공하였고, 랜덤포레스트 알고리즘을 이용하여 가치사슬 분류 모형을 구축하였다. 자동차 부품 기업 사례에 본 연구 모형을 적용한 결과, 정확도 92%, F1-척도 76% 그리고 AUC 94%로 자동적 가치사슬 분류의 가능성을 확인하였다. 또한 거래집중도, 거래금액 그리고 거래처별 총 매출액 등과 같은 거래 속성들이 가치사슬에 속하는 기업들을 대표하는 주요 특성임을 확인하였다.

중국 자동차 산업의 경쟁전략과 성과에 대한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study of Competitive Strategy and Performance in Chinese Automotive Industry)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of a company's competitive strategy on corporate performance in the highly competitive Chinese automotive industry. Design/methodology/approach - This study collected 14 survey data from automotive companies in China which be listed more than one year. We chosen the exploratory study with deriving research assignments, and the final research results are presented as propositions to proceed with the study. Findings - First, in the Chinese automobile industry, a company's competition strategy has a positive impact on corporate performance. and also the Differentiation strategy and the Low-cost strategy both have a positive impact on corporate performance. In addition, a company pursuing the Differentiation strategy that it would achieve better corporate performance than a company pursuing the Low-cost strategy. Second, it has been shown that the hybrid strategy rather than the pure strategy in the Chinese automobile industry can achieve higher corporate performance. Research implications or Originality - First, the type of competitive strategy in Chinese automotive industry were identified through the original strategies presented by Porter and Murray, and the impact of the Low-cost and the Differentiation strategies on corporate performance was analyzed. Second, contributing to the study of pure and hybrid strategies that are still under discussion now. Third, it also suggested practical implications that companies in China's automotive industry should pursue cost or differentiation advantages to secure competitive advantage.

  • Currently, many companies are trying to be more competitive by implementing the most appropriate software package called ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). ERP can support the company's business process. A manufacturing execution system (MES) is an industrial software system, as well as a manufacturing management function in make-to-order and make-to-stock manufacturing environments. This paper presents an architecture of MES. This study develops MES to identify the functional requirements of loading & scheduling in the automobile industry. This study shows the effectiveness of the proposed MES, how to develop MES and interface with ERP package.

DEA와 로지스틱 회귀분석을 이용한 자동차부품기업의 효율성 분석 및 재무전략 (Efficiency Analysis and Finance Strategy for an Automotive Parts Maker Using DEA and Logistic Regression Model)

  • This study applied DEA analysis to measure the relative efficiency of 35 companies that produce automobile body components. First, the input and output, the improvement target value of the calculated variables, and the reference group for benchmarking for inefficient groups to become efficient groups were established through DEA analysis. In addition, whether inefficiency was due to technical inefficiency or size was analyzed in connection with the cases of the actual companies through the measurement of scale efficiency. Second, a route for efficiency improvement was derived through DEA-Tier analysis by defining the possible group for benchmarking in actuality within the production industry of automobile body components where the primary cooperative company belonged. Third, the financial variables that generate the difference between efficient and inefficient groups were derived through logistic regression analysis. Financial strategies that determine the direction the indices should be improved to allow the inefficient group to become an efficient one were recommended. This research is expected to provide diagnostic methods for management efficiency and the direction of improvement to enhance the management efficiency of automotive parts makers by identifying the causes of the inefficiency of domestic automotive parts makers empirically. The study also provides financial strategies together with the target values of efficiency improvement for each individual company.

  • Purpose: This study would measure the users'perceived overall quality level of A automobile Company, which has leading market power in the domestic automobile market and analyze the causal relationships in the quality value process Model to quality capability, customer value and loyalty based on that. Especially, this study would analyze the relative impacts of the users'perceived risks appearing in the quality value process model of the formation of Quality Factors(QF), Customer Value(CV), and Customer Loyalty(CL) and analyze the moderating effect of the causal relationships among the components. Methods: For an analysis of causal relationships connected to QF, CV, and CL of the customers who purchased Auto manufacturer A's automobile users, 179 users who used within 3 years were utilized as samples for the analysis. As for QF, based on the Garvin(1988), the QF of automobiles were redesigned. For a structural equation analysis of the entire research model, the PLS(S(Partial Least Square) model was utilized. Results: As a result of an analysis, R2 of CV and CL was 0.652 for CV and 0.664 for CL, which was a very stable Goodness of fit. As a result of an analysis of the hypotheses of QF and CV, automobile performance, conformance, aesthetics, serviceability, and durability. In addition, it turned out that the perceived risk had a moderating effect on convenience, service availability, and perceived quality. Conclusion: This study found that the perceived quality risk appearing among automobile users had negative effects on the quality value process model to QF, CV and CL. In contrast, there were factors not affecting the users'quality value process in spite of the perceived risk. These factors can suggest important managerial implications in that they can be utilized as Auto manufacturer A's market-dominant strengths.

  • The objective of this study is to find the traits of the automobile parts industry in Korea and to analyze the performance of overseas market research. Considering the characteristics of the automobile parts industry & overseas market research, the proposed hypothesis are based on practical business in exporting & importing enterprises. A questionnaire was used to analysis the performance of overseas market research. According to the findings, first. oversea market research in the automobiles parts industry should carry out by various means because of the performance & traits differ from industry to industry. second, direct oversea market research(ex, trade exhibition) is better than indirect overseas market research due to high efficiency. finally, to support exporting company, the various data of economic, trade, international commerce should improve the quality.

Effects of Innovativeness of External Networks on Corporate Innovativeness and Innovation Performance - Focusing on Comparison of Business Categories according to the Technology Level of the Manufacturing Industry -

  • In this study, the effect of innovativeness of external networks on the corporate innovativeness and innovation performance were explored based on web survey data collected from 230 manufacturing companies. Specifically, according to the manufacturers' business categories divided by the technology level, three groups such as advance technology (electronic/IT), mid- to high technology (automobile/machine), and low technology (textile/clothing) companies were investigated to find out which external network influences corporate innovativeness and innovation performance. In the result, textile/clothing companies were not different in company size, history, and innovation effort from advanced technology and mid- to high technology companies. Collectively, the innovativeness of external networks affected corporate innovativeness and innovation performance. In the result by a business category, innovativeness and innovation performance of textile/clothing companies were affected by the innovativeness of competitors, whereas automobile/machine companies in the mid- to high technology group were affected by suppliers. In addition, advanced technology (electronics/IT) were affected by buyers and competitors. These differences suggest that the way to use vertical networks toward upstream (e.g., suppliers) and downstream (e. g., buyers) as well as horizontal networks toward competitors can be different by the business category of manufacturers. The result would provide implications for the academia and the industry.
