  • iA-Canvas is HMI program which is the industrial automation application developed based on the Java language, and can run on any OS such as Windows, UNIX, Linux. The iA-Canvas is built on object-oriented open structure and consider network functionality and user experience as a system of centralized management and distributed management. iA-Canvas is composed of several components such as Builder, IO Server, Viewer, and Web Service Module and provides a GUI control environment. This paper explains design and implementation of iA-Canvas that is a tool for development of integrated management system, and shows practical examples of integrated management system that use iA-Canvas.

  • In this paper, it is presents a new approach to the design of neural control system using digital signal processors in order to improve the precision and robustness. Robotic manipulators have become increasingly important in the field of flexible automation. High speed and high-precision trajectory tracking are indispensable capabilities for their versatile application. The need to meet demanding control requirement in increasingly complex dynamical control systems under significant uncertainties, leads toward design of intelligent manipulation robots. The TMS320C3x is used in implementing real time neural control to provide an enhanced motion control for robotic manipulators. In this control scheme, the networks introduced are neural nets with dynamic neurons, whose dynamics are distributed over all the network nodes. The nets are trained by the distributed dynamic back propagation algorithm. The proposed neural network control scheme is simple in structure, fast in computation, andsuitable for implementation of robust control.

  • In this study of made Autmation system is moving linear transfer system for mainly forming of small electronic unit and other at press line. This system for loading and unloading a workpiece has been installed in a press in order to load and unload a workpiece from a press die. Main Control method be used PLC. It took data of input from each sensor and send signal of output to actuator by sequence program also, we try to Characteristics test of this system has good condition when operating with raser measurmant.

  • Grinding has difficulty in satisfying the qualitative knowledge based on the skilled expert as well as quantitative data for all user. Design of grinding database is based on the frame-based model for utilizing the empirical and qualitative knowledge. Inthis paper, basic strategy to develop the grinding database by frame-based model, which is strongly dependent upon experience and intuition, frame-base model, which is strongly dependent upon experience and intuition, is described. Design of grinding database is based on the frame-based model for utilizing the ambiguous knowledge and inference is accomplised by the object-oriented paradigm system.

  • With the trend towards welding automation and robozation, mathematical models for studying the influence of various parameters on the weld bead geometry in Gas Metal Arc(GMA) welding process are required. The results of bead on plate welds deposited using the GMA welding process has enabled mathematical relationships to be developed that model the weld bead geometry. Experimental results were compared to outputs obtained using existing formulae that correlate process input variables to output parameters and subsequent modelling was performed in order to better predict the output of the GMA welding process. The aim of this work was to explain the relationships between GMA welding variables and weld bead geometry and thus, be able to predict input weld bead size. The relationships can be usefully employed for open loop process control and also for adaptive control provided that dynamic sensing of process output is performed.

  • Understanding the importance of web accessibility as the solution for digital divide, this study recognizes the problem that existing web accessibility researches have been conducted only by governmental administrative organizations and the accessibility researches of web service that is frequently used in every day life are rare. For the research on the actual condition of web-accessability, this study selected the e-mail service of the representative web-service providers - Daum, Naver, and Empas. Through this evaluation research, this study is intended to present a way to provide convenient and efficient service for those who have been alienated from information. For the accessibility evaluation, the automation evaluation tool "KADO-WAH 2.0" was used. And then, source analysis and manual evaluation using Firefox were conducted to see if 'web contents accessibility guideline 1.0' had been kept.

  • The automation of hot rolling process requires the developments of several mathematical models for simulation and quantitative description of the industrial operations involved in order to achieve the continuously increasing productivity, flexibility and quality(dimensional accuracy, mechanical properties and surface properties). The mathematical modeling of hot rolling process has long been recognized to be a desirable approach to investigate rolling operating practice and design of mill requirement. To achieve this objectives, a new teaming method with neural network to improve the accuracy of rolling force prediction in hot rolling mill is developed. Also, Genetic Algorithm(GA) is applied to select the optimal structure of the neural network and compared with that of engineers experience. It is shown from this research that both structure selection methods can lead to similar results.

  • In this paper, the dynamic stability of a hydraulic excavator using ZMP concept is considered. When a load is moved in an excavator based on automation, an excavator often loses the stability and falls over. This is because a dynamic element is not included in the moment equilibrium equation that is used in order to judge a reversal. Consequently, reversal distinction algorithm including all a static and a dynamic element along a load movement in crane work is necessary. Zero Moment Point(ZMP) is a point on the floor where the resultant moment of the gravity, the inertial force of the manipulator and the external force is zero. This study is going to interpret the reversal stability of the excavator to which is applied ZMP concept through simulation.

Selection of chip breaker based on the experiment (실험적 방법에 기초한 칩브레이크 선정)

  • Chip control is a major problem in automatic machining process, especially in finish operation. Chip breaker is one of the important factors to be determined for the scheme of chip control. As unbroken chips are grown, there deteriorate quality of the surface roughness and process automation can be carried out. In this study, to get rid of chip curling problem while turning internal hole, optimal chip breaker is selected form the experiment. The experiment is planned with Taguchi's method that is based on the orthogonal arrary of design factor. From the respose table, cutting speed, feedrate, depth of cut, and tool geometry are major factors affecting chip formation. Then, optmal chip breaker is selected and this is verified good enough for chip control from the experiment.

  • In this research, a nameplate engraving system for images and texts downloaded through Internet on nameplate is developed. The system consists of two subsystems: thinning algorithm and NC code generation module. In the thinning algorithm, the concept of connectivity is used and center lines of images and texts, which will be used as NC tool paths, can be obtained successfully. Because the center lines are composed of a lot of pixels, NC code would be too long. In the NC code generation module, many useless pixel data are removed and linear interpolation algorithm is applied to only the remaining pixels. By performing actual experiments, the thinning algorithm and the NC code generation module are verified.
