Position/force Control using 6-axis Compliance Device for Chemical Coupler Assembly (케미컬 커플러 체결을 위한 순응장치를 이용한 위치/힘 동시제어)

  • In this paper, a robot automation technology for chemical tank lorry unloading is presented. Handling chemical coupler between tank lorry and ACQC system may be hazardous or toxic to human operators, therefore robot automation is essential. Due to tight tolerance between couplers, even small pose error may result in very large internal force. In order to resolve the problem, compliance between male and female couplers should be introduced with 6-axis compliance device with F/T sensing. The proposed robot automation system consists of a collaborative robot, 6-ax is compliance device with F/T sensing, linear gripper, and robot vision. The position/force control algorithm and experimental results for assembling chemical couplers are presented.

  • Lately, the Intelligent Electronic Device(ED) and the Power System Automation make subjects of discussions and studies. The IED uses microprocessors to practice a lot of functions. In the analog time, an equipment practices only one or two functions. But according to the development of microprocessor and digital technology, it can be implemented by using those kinds of state of the art technology and its function is become more and more powerful. Also, the proliferation of IED makes possible to construct power system automation. An automation of power system make more convenient, safe, and accurate power system. In this paper, a digital protective relay which is a kind of IED and the power automation system are briefly discussed with development and application cases.

  • This research was conducted to find design factors of seed metering device for developing seeder. It can be sowed precisely 1~3 seeds of Foxtail millet & Sorghum. To obtain fundamental information for designing seed metering device, we conducted adaptability test of the existing seeder in Foxtail millet & Sorghum. Major findings were as followings. Except of Model-A which was adapted sorghum(by seeding metering cup of width 3.9mm and length 4.5mm), seeders which were used in experiment showed that high value of miss-planted rates and more than four-planted rates. So to enhance precision of seeding in Foxtail millet & Sorghum, existing seeders were considered necessary by some supplementation.

  • The mobiAutoBot is a conceptual model of robotic process automation software with cognitive automation that can support mobile devices. The mobiAutoBot consists of two parts: mobiAutoBot controller and mobiAutoBot runner. The mobiAutoBot controller directs the job to the mobile device and performs monitoring and interworking. The mobiAutoBot runner installed on the mobile device performs the command execution. With the mobiAutoBot, you can build cost-effective robotic process automation capabilities and use it in a variety of applications, including mobile devices.

Finite Element Analysis and Dynamics Simulation of Mechanical Flux-Varying PM Machines with Auto-Rotary PMs

  • A new type of auto-rotary PM mechanical flux-varying PM machine (ARPMMFVPMM) is proposed in this paper, which can overcome the problem where the air-gap magnetic field of a PM machine is difficult to freely adjust. The topology structures of the machine and the mechanical flux-adjusting device are given. In addition, the operation principle of flux-adjusting is analyzed in detail. Furthermore, the deformation of a spring with the speed variation is obtained by virtual prototype technology. Electromagnetic characteristics including the flux distribution, air gap flux density, flux linkage, electromagnetic-magnetic-force (EMF), and flux weakening ability are computed by 2D finite element method (FEM). Results show that the machine has some advantages such as the good field control ability.

  • This paper proposed design and implementation of automation system that recognize device module boards automatically that are connected on main control board. The system of this paper is divided to main board and device module boards, and the main board is designed a board by slot structure. The slot structure is possible a extension for upgrade and addition of board ability. Besides, it is easier a establishment and disjointing because it recognizes automatically a device board. The proposed system in this paper compares with K10S1 PLC. The result shows an advantage of extensibility and ability, and it is reduced expense and period for development.

  • ZigBee기술은 Home Automation, Building Automation 그리고 Sensor Network 분야까지 다양한 분야에서 기술적인 가능성을 가지고 있다. 그러나 ZigBee기술은 WPAN(Personal Area Network) 영역으로 그 범위를 제한하고 있어 Home Automation에 적용할 수 있는 분야가 제한될 수 밖에 없다. 본 논문에서는 ZigBee의 binding기술을 확장하여 home network에 도입하기 위한 방안을 제시하고, 댁외 device들이 home server를 통하여 ZigBee의 device들과 어떻게 binding될 수 있는지를 보이고자 한다. 또한 위의 내용을 기반으로 home network의 automation을 댁외 망으로 확장할 수 있음을 보이고자 한다.

A Cognitive Automation Based Mobility Robotic Process Automation System (인지 자동화 기반 모빌리티 로보틱스 프로세스 자동화 시스템)

  • Our proposed system, MobiAutoBot, is a conceptual model of robotics process automation software at a cognitive automation level that can support mobile devices. MobiAutoBot consists of two parts: MobiAutoBot controller and MobiAutoBot runner. The MobiAutoBot controller directs, monitors, and interacts the Job on the mobile device, and the MobiAutoBot runner installed on the mobile device performs the commanded operation. If we provide automation for mobile devices to small businesses through our proposed MobiAutoBot, we can build low-cost robotic process automation functions that can be linked to existing information systems with mobile devices such as simple smartphones, even without an expensive information-based infrastructure. Our proposal is expected to serve as an opportunity to spread automation of robotics processes even to small and medium-sized companies and individual users who are difficult to equip with all information system infrastructure.

  • In order to improve the reliability of power service and the effective management of distribution power system. DAS (Distribution Automation system) is widely used in KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) branch offices. Based on the present protective device coordination program which used in KEPCO. this study presents the new concept about both protective device coordination program maximizing the characteristics of DAS and development plan of protective device auto-coordination program with the merits of DAS.
