  • Cutting process has been automated by progress of CNC and CAD/CAM, but polishing process has been depended on only experiential knowledge of expert. To automate the polishing process, a polishing robot with w degrees of freedom which is attached to a machining center with 3 degrees of freedom has been developed. This automatic polishing robot is able to keep the polishing tool normal on the curved surface of die to improve a performance of polishing. Polishing task for a curved surface die demands repetitive operation and high precision, but conventional control algorithm can not cope with the problem of disturbance such as a change of load. In this research, a new sliding mode control algorithm is applied to the robot. The signal compression method is used to identify polishing robot system. to obtain an effect of 5 degrees of freedom motion, a synchronization between the machining center and polishing robot is accomplished by using M code of machining center. And also a trajectory for polishing the curved surface die by 5 degrees of freedom motion, a synchronization between the machining center and polishing robot is accomplished by using M code of machining center. And also a trajectory for polishing the curved surface die by 5 axes machining center is divided into data of two types for 3 axes machining center and 2 axes polishing robot. To evaluate polishing performance of the robot. various experiments are carried out.

  • Ultrasonic pulse velocity(UPV) is a useful tool for examining the property of early-age mortar or concrete. Thus, UPV has been used for a long time to characterize setting and hardening of cementitious materials. In this study, in order to investigate the characteristics of setting for mortar, UPV was measured using automatic monitoring system up to 3 days after casting. Test results show that UPV of high water to binder ratio(w/b) mortar remained constant at the beginning of hydration and then abruptly began to increase. However, UPV of low w/b mortar gradually increase due to setting retard caused by use of superplasticizer. Furthermore, the development of UPV for mortar with fly ash is slower than that of mortar without fly ash. It was concluded that the property change of mortar or concrete, such as setting and hardening can be assessed by monitoring of UPV.

  • Finite element analysis tool was developed to analyze the casting process. Generally, casting processes consists of mold filling and solifification. In order to investigate the effects of process variables and to predict the defects, both filling and solidiffication process were simulated simultaneously. At filling process, especiallywe consider thermal coupling to investigate thermal history of material during the filling stage. And thermal condition at the final stage of filling is used as the initial conditions in a solidification process for the exact simulation of the actual casting processes. At mold filling process, Lagrangian-type finite element method with automatic remashing scheme was used to find the material flow. To avoid numerical instability in low viscous fluid, a perturbation method with artificial viscosity is adopted. At solififfication process, enthalpy-based finite element method was used to solve the heat transfer problem with phase change. And elastic stress analysis has been performed to predict the thermal residual stress. Through the FE analysis, solidiffication time, position of solidus line, liquidus line and thermal residual stress are studied. Finite element tools developed in this study will be used process design of casting process and maybe basic structure for total CAE system of castigs which will be constructed afterward.

  • Measurements of linear motion accuracy for one axis of NC lathe have achieved with laser interferometer system, but measurement of plane motion accuracy for two axes on zx-plane of NC lathe have not achieved with the above system. Therefore in this study, measuring unit system is organized using two optical linear scales in order to acquire error. data during of plane motion of ATC(Automatic Tool Change.) of NC lathe by reading zx-plane coordinates. Two optical linear scales of measuring unit are fixed on zx-plane of NC lathe, and moving part of the scales are fixed to the ATC and then error motion data of z, x-coordinates of the ATC are received from the scales through the PC counter card inserted in computer at constant time intervals using tick pulses coming out from computer. And then, error motion data files acquired from measuring are saved in computer memory and the aspect of plane motion are modeled to plots, and range of the error data, means. average deviations, and standard deviations etc. are calculated by means of statistical treatments using computer programs.

  • 웹 2.0 기술이 소개된 이후 소셜 네트워크 서비스는 미래 정보기술의 기초로서 중요하게 인식되고 있다. 이에, 웹2.0 환경에서 소셜 네트워크를 구축하기 위하여 온톨로지 기반의 사용자 프로필 기술 도구인 FOAF를 활용하기 위한 다양한 연구가 이뤄지고 있다. 그러나 FOAF를 이용하여 소셜 네트워크를 생성 및 관리하는 대부분의 방법은 시간의 흐름에 따라 변화하는 사용자의 소셜 네트워크를 자동적으로 반영하기 어려운 단점이 있으며 다양한 소셜 미디어 서비스가 제공되는 환경에서는 FOAF를 동적으로 관리하기가 쉽지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존 FOAF를 이용한 소셜 네트워크 추출방법의 한계를 극복하기 위하여 사용자 프로파일 기술 언어인 FOAF와 웹 저작물 출판 매커니즘인 RSS를 OLAP 시스템에 적용시켜 동적으로 FOAF를 갱신하고 관리하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법은 수집한 FOAF와 RSS 파일들을 스타스키마로 설계된 데이터베이스에 넣어 OLAP 큐브를 생성한다. 그리고 OLAP 연산을 이용하여 사용자의 연결관계를 분석하고 FOAF에 그 결과를 반영한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법은 이기종 분산처리 환경 하에서 데이터의 상호호환성을 보장할 뿐만 아니라 시간의 흐름에 따른 사용자의 관심 및 이슈 등의 변화를 효과적으로 반영한다.

  • 최근 기상 이변에 따라 단시간에 집중되는 돌발홍수에 의해 해마다 막대한 인적, 물적 피해를 입고 있다. 이러한 국지성호우에 의한 산지하천이나 미소하천에서 첨두유출량을 예측하기 위한 도구로서 GIS를 적용하고 있는 추세이다. 하지만 수문학적 접근이 주를 이루고 있으며 GIS를 이용한 지형분석으로의 접근은 매우 미비한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 돌발홍수를 발생시키는 강우량을 GIS기법과 GcIUH의 모형을 연계하여 산정하였고, 유역별 GcIUH 매개변수를 추출하여 한계유량에 따른 GcIUH 매개변수간의 상관관계를 분석하였다.

Polishing task for a curved surface die demands repetitive operation and high precision, but conventional control algorithm can not cope with the problem of disturbance such as a change of load. In this research, we develop robust controller using real time sliding mode algorithm. To obtain gain parameters of sliding model control input, the signal compression method is used to identify polishing robot system. To obtain an effect of 5 degrees of freedom motion, 5 axes NC data for polishing are divided into data of two types for 3 axis machining center and 2 axis polishing are divided into data of two types for 3 axis machining center and 2 axis polishing robot. To find an efficient polishing condition to obtain high quality, various experiments are carried out.

Through the study, the importance of combined analysis has been emphasized. Finite element tools developed in this study will be used process design of casting process and may be basic structure for total CAE system of castings which will be constructed afterward.

기계가공시 분당가공비를 고려한 최적 절삭 조건에 관한 연구 (A study on automatic selection of optimal cutting condition on machining in view of economics)

  • Recently the multi-kind, small-amount manufacturing system has been replacing the mass manufacturing system, and domestic machining inustry also is eager to absorb the new technology because of its high productivity and cost reduction. The optimization of the cutting condition has been a vital problem in the machining industry, which would help increase the productivity and raise the international competitiveness. It is intended in this study to investigate the machining costs per unit time which is essential to the analysis of the optimal cutting condition, to computer the cutting speed that lead to the minimum machining costs and the maximum production to suggest the cutting speed range that enables efficient speed cutting, and to review the machining economy in relation to cutting depth and feed. Also considered are the optimal cutting speed and prodution rated in rrelation with feed. It is found that the minimum-cost cutting speed increases and the efficient cutting speed range is reduced as machining cost per unit time increases since the cutting speed for maximum production remains almost constant. The machining cost is also lowered and the production rate increases as the feed increases, and the feed should be selected to satisfy the required surface roughness. The machining cost and production rate are hardly affected by the cutting depth if the cutting speed stays below 100m/min, however, they are subject to change at larger cutting depth and the high-efficient speed range also is restricted. It can be established an adaptive optimal cutting conditions can be established in workshop by the auto-selection progam for optimal operation. It is expected that this method for choosing the optimal cutting conditions might contribute to the improvement of the productivity and reduced the cost. It is highly recommended to prepare the optimal cutting conditionthus obtained for future use in the programing of G-function of CNC machines. If proper programs that automatically select the optimal cutting conditions should be developed, it would be helpful to the works being done in the machine shops and would result in noticeable production raise and cost reduction.

  • 위성의 발달에 따라 고해상영상이 등장하게 되었고 지표상태 분석에 매우 유용하게 되었다. GeoWatch는 지능형 영상처리 시스템으로서, 고해상도 영상을 이용하여 디지타이징, 지리보정, 강조, 여러 가지 연산, 식생지수 분석, 등을 하여 지표면 분석 등을 할 수 있는 시스템이다. 도한 지능형 분석 방법등 여러 가지 기법을 이용하여 변화지역분석, 토지 분류, 도시정보추출 등을 수행한다. 이 시스템의 강점은 full scene 영상같은 대용량 영상을 다룰 경우 역동적인 알고리즘 저장 방식을 채택하였고, 자동메뉴 생성, 사용자 편의를 위한 비쥬얼 프로그래밍 환경 등을 제공한다. 이 시스템은 또한 위성영상 위에 벡터를 중첩하여 분석하거나 수정 작업을 할 수 있고, 3차원 비행 시뮬레이션도 가능하다. 이 시스템은 영상 처리 모듈 외에도 영상 변환 및 수정 유틸리티 기능을 많이 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 또한 지능형 영상 분석 방법 뿐만 아니라, 대용량처리나, 비쥬얼 프로그램을 위한 디자인 개념을 제공한다.
