  • DARPA 무인차 대회 우승과 구글 자율주행 자동차로 유명한 세바스찬 스런 스탠포드대 교수는 18살이 되던 해에 가장 친한 친구를 교통사고로 잃었고, 그것을 계기로 계기로 무인차 개발에 나서게 되었다고 한다. 현재 대부분의 교통사고는 운전자의 과실로 발생하며, 기계의 보조나 자동제어가 있다면 대부분 예방할 수 있다. 또한 자동으로 차선을 유지하고 차간거리를 유지하게 해준다면 도로의 교통 수용량을 2배 내지 3배로 높일 수 있으며, 도로에서 보내는 시간과 연료를 절약할 수 있다. 현재 지능형 자동차 및 도로 인프라 기술은 이러한 운전자의 안전성, 편의성, 교통 효율성, 에너지 절약을 달성하기 위한 자동차와 인프라 간의 협력형 ITS(C-ITS: cooperative ITS) 방향으로 기술개발이 이루어지고 있으며, 본 고에서는 이와 관련된 차량 자동유도 요소 기술 및 동향에 대해서 살펴본다.

  • In this paper, We present a new nonlinear adaptive control law using a disturbance accommodating control (DAC) observer for a Japanese automatic landing flight experiment vehicle called ALFLEX. A future spaceplane must have ability to deal with greater fluctuations in the stability and control derivatives of flight dynamics, because its flight region is much wider than that of conventional aircraft. In our previous studies, digital adaptive flight control systems have been developed based on a linear-parameter-varying (LPV) model depending on dynamic pressure, and obtained good simulation results. However, under previous control laws, it is difficult to accommodate uncertainties represented by disturbance and nonlinearity, and to design a stable flight control system. Therefore, in this study, we attempted to design a nonlinear adaptive control law using the DAC Observer and inverse dynamic methods. A good tracking property of the obtained system was confirmed in numerical simulation.

  • In this report, an adaptive flight control law based on a linear-parameter-varying (LPV) model is presented for a flight control system. The control system is designed to track an output of a vehicle to a reference signal from the guidance system, which generates a reference flight path. The proposed adaptive control law adjusts the controller gains continuously on line as flight conditions change. The obtained adaptive controller guarantees global stability over a wide flight envelope. Computer simulation involving six-degree-of-freedom nonlinear flight dynamics is applied to Japan´s automatic landing flight experimental vehicle (ALFLEX) to examine the effectiveness of the proposed adaptive flight control law.

  • The objective of this study is to propose a lane changing and keeping method on a curved road for an automatic guidance of a vehicle. It is well known that the speed control of a vehicle in a curved road is essential in terms of vehicle stability and passenger safety because centrifugal force makes a vehicle to be on out of lane.   • National projects on renewable energy and new energy are driven more actively than ever in many countries for the exhaustion of fossil fuel energy from the turn of the century. Such activities began to spread out in railway industry with centering around west European countries. Electric energy is generated on the hybrid vehicle itself, which contributes to reduction of the cost for construction of the infrastructure required for the supply of electric power. Hybrid tram is mainly composed of propulsion system to control electric energy, automatic guidance system to control steering and operation, and central vehicle unit to control and monitor major electronic devices. Generation and supply of electric power are made by the combination of engine generator and battery, or fuel cell and super capacitor.

  • XML is a markup language which has been accepted in various fields such as digital libraries, electronic commerce, and web applications. Research for creation, storage, management, and retrieval of XML documents is essential to develope XML application systems. This paper presents design and implementation details of powerful and convenient DTD authoring tools for XML documents. The design principles are authoring convenience, semi-automatic creation of valid and reliable document DTD by systematic guidance to reduce the possibility of syntax errors, and visualization of document structures.

  • In this paper, we present a usable method of driving path in automatic guidance vehicle(AGV). The AGV is precisely driving to follow reference route. The Phileas in Netherland and Bi-modal tram in Korea have one wheel for the each side because of all wheels steering. For this reason, the loading area of wheels is very small. It is a disadvantage for asphalt load. The precise route tracking of vehicle can distort the flexible asphalt load. In this paper, we propose a driving method for alleviation of distortion on asphalt load.

  • This paper presents an L1 optimization based filtering technique which effectively eliminates the optical misalignment effects encountered in the squint guidance mode with strapdown seekers. We formulated a series of L1 optimization problems in order to separate the bias and the gradient components from the measured data, and solved them via the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) and sparse matrix decomposition techniques. The proposed technique was able to rapidly detect arbitrary discontinuities and gradient changes from the measured signals, and was shown to effectively cancel the undesirable effects coming from the seeker misalignment angles. The technique was implemented on embedded flight computers and the real-time operational performance was verified via the hardware-in-the-loop simulation (HILS) tests in parallel with the automatic target recognition algorithms and the intra-red synthetic target images.

  • The purpose of this paper is to discuss the methodology of optimizing delivery route scheduling using a capacity integer linear programming problem model developed to a previous case study. The methodology suggests a two-stage decision: the first, automatic, where the manager will obtain guidance generated by the solution of the linear programming model, later they could use post-optimization techniques to fine tune to the best operational solution. This study has the goal to reduce the size of service companies' ground transportation fleets, aiming not only to reduce costs and increase competitive advantages but also to lower levels of air pollution and its consequences, traffic and, therefore, the levels of carbon dioxide, allowing for a reduction in envir onmental disasters.

A Experimental Study on the Development of a Book Recommendation System Using Automatic Classification, Based on the Personality Type (자동분류기반 성격 유형별 도서추천시스템 개발을 위한 실험적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an automatic classification system for recommending appropriate books of 9 enneagram personality types, using book information data reviewed by librarians. Data used for this study are book review of 501 recommended titles for children and young adults from National Library for Children and Young Adults. This study is implemented on the assumption that most people prefer different types of books, depending on their preference or personality type. Performance test for two different types of machine learning models, nonlinear kernel and linear kernel, composed of 360 clustering models with 6 different types of index term weighting and feature selections, and 10 feature selection critical mass were experimented. It is appeared that LIBLINEAR has better performance than that of LibSVM(RBF kernel). Although the performance of the developed system in this study is relatively below expectations, and the high level of difficulty in personality type base classification take into consideration, it is meaningful as a result of early stage of the experiment.
