  • This study is concerned with the improvement of the Automatic Boiler Control and Turbine Governor system to maintain line - frequency within 60 .+-. 0.1 HZ. This describes the current problems of plant control system, the method and equipments to be developed for each plant based on the experimental test were carried out at field, and, lastly, the results of the study with the progress of it.

화재피해 감소 위한 자동소화장치 적용범위 개선 (Improvement to the Applicable Scope of Automatic Fire Extinguisher to Reduce Fire Damage)

  • The rapid progress toward the 4th industrial society has led to possibilities of fire increase. It is pointed out that, though initial fire suppression is emphasized, the current legal systems do not sufficiently recognize the importance of initial fire suppression. In order to resolve this, problems of the current legal systems and regulations, as well as fire-fighting facilities to be equipped according to the size of specific fire-fighting objects, were diagnosed. Also, suggestions for improvement were provided through comparative analysis with relevant laws and technical regulations of Korea and other countries. According to fire safety standards such as NFPA, IMO, ISO, and Russian standards, automatic fire extinguishers are to be installed as per the adaptability criteria of fire extinguishers and automatic fire extinguishers. In Korea, the "Act on Fire Prevention and Installation, Maintenance, and Safety Control of Fire-fighting Systems" cover the types and scope of fire fighting facilities that include specific fire protection objects, such as electric room, power room, and substation room. This study has identified that, in case of a place with a floor area of less than $300m^2$, the installation requirement is not clearly specified. Therefore, in this study, fire extinguishing equipment and automatic fire extinguishing equipment to be added for each sub-use application are proved to have fire extinguishing performance of Class A, Class B, and Class C, respectively. In view of the fact that, in overseas standards, all space except containing such materials as Deep fire, metal fire and peroxide, can be installed with fire fighting equipment, a legal system for specifying the capacity units of fire fighting apparatus by application is, in this study, proposed.

  • 얼마전 판교 근교에 위치한 흙막이 가시설 공사에서 가시설 구조물이 붕괴하여 인적 물적 피해가 발생한 사례가 있다. 그러한 사례가 발생되었음에도 불구하고 현재 흙막이 가시설 구조물 붕괴를 미연에 감지하고 조기 대응하는 방식을 자동화 시스템으로 도입 할 것에 대하여 시공사에서 미온적인 태도를 보이고 있다. 이와 같은 대표적인 이유는 제한된 예산과 계측의 불신임이 가장 큰 이유로 알려져 있다. 비록 지반 시설물에 대하여 현재 센서기반 자동화 계측 시스템을 일부 도입하고 있으나, 현재 운영되고 있는 대부분의 시스템은 계측데이터를 분석하고 시설물 내부 위험을 평가하여 관리주체에 보고 하는데는 상당한 시간이 소요되고, 긴급하게 시설물 이상여부를 보고해야 하는 상황에 자동화 계측시스템이 경고 전파를 적절하게 발휘하지 못하는 경우가 비번하게 발생한다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 기존 지반관련 자동화 계측의 경고전파체계에 관한 문제점을 살펴봄으로써, 보다 적절한 경고전파 시스템을 제안하며, 제한된 시스템은 국부 단일 계측 설비에 적용 가능할 뿐만 아니라, 지반구조물 안전관리에 활용 연계 될 수 있도록 표준 프로토콜 및 네트워크도 제안하고자 한다.

  • A series of high gradient superconducting magnetic separator (HGMS) for kaolin has been developed. It is used for processing kaolin to increase the brightness or whiteness whether it is for paper or ceramic applications. The HGMS system mainly consists of a solenoid magnet with a zero boil-off helium cryostat, a double reciprocating canisters system, and a PLC (Process Logic Controller) fully automatic control system based on SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system. We have successfully developed CGC-5.5/300 and CGC-5.0/500 HGMS systems in the recent years, and now three sets of them are on-site operation in different customers. This paper will present recent progress of the HGMS system, the results of some experiments on processing kaolin clay used HGMS, and the on-site operation.

  • 본 논문은 DNSSEC 적용을 국내 환경에 맞게, 사용자들이 보다 쉽게 적용 및 관리할 수 있는 방법에 대해 연구하고 구현하였다. DNSSEC은 DNS 캐시 정보가 위 변조되는 취약점을 해결하기 위해 제안된 것으로, DNSSEC 적용 및 관리에 어려움이 있어 국내 적용이 미비한 편이다. 이에 DNSSEC의 효율적이고 안정적인 관리를 위한 서명키 자동관리 SW와 서명키 모니터링을 제안하고자 한다. 더불어 제안한 사항을 실제 구축하여 DNSSEC 서명키 갱신과 모니터링이 원활하게 진행되는지 살펴보고, 본 연구가 향후 국내 DNSSEC 사용자들이 보다 쉽게 DNSSEC를 적용 관리하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

  • With the recent progress in flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) in industry, increasing attention has been given to Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems. An AGV is a self-powered unit for transporting materials between stations without needing to be controlled by an operator. Such a system has several sensors to recognize the external state, and it is designed to travel between stations automatically without external assistance. To manage each device automatically in real time it requires a distributed controller with a main computer as the host, as well as a number of micro-controllers. In this study, an AGV system with dual motor drive was constructed. A Pentium 4 personal computer was set up as the main host for the distributed control, and this communicated with other micro-controllers in the management of the motor. The speed of each motor was also controlled by a micro-controller.

  • In this paper, we proposed automatic extraction of brain tumor using morphological operation and statistical tumors size in MR images. Neurosurgery have used gamma-knife therapy by MR images. However, the gamma-knife plan systems needs the brain tumor regions, because gamma-ray should intensively radiate to the brain tumor except for normal cells. Therefore, gamma-knife plan systems spend too much time on designating the tumor regions. In order to reduce the time of designation of tumors, we progress the automatical extraction of tumors using proposed method. The proposed method consist of two steps. First, the information of skull at MRI slices remove using statistical tumors size. Second, the ROI is extracted by tumor feature and average of tumors size. The detection of tumor is progressed using proposed and threshold method. Moreover, in order to compare the effeminacy of proposed method, we compared snap-shot and results of proposed method.

  • Recently, IoT(Internet of Things) technology is widely applied in not only our everyday lives but also in industry, medical field and security system. NFC system, the basis of IoT, is in the spotlight which can be an alternative solution of a anti-theft system for motorcycle as they basically have practicality and security issues. Anti-theft system for motorcycle using the NFC smart devices based on RFID has been proposed. because Progress of Smart Device If someone get the Key for motorcycle theft, he can be easily stolen motorcycle. We thought about the concept of NFC security devices as a wireless key and automatic solenoid valve for setting the lock and unlock module. In this study, we designed motorcycle smart key system with general-purpose NFC system and the automatic solenoid valve for setting the lock and unlock module. First, we designed control unit and NFC card reader for motorcycle smart key system. Then we propose an AES encryption algorithm and prove that the motorcycle key system is controllable by showing the result of implementing and testing, after installing.

  • 본 논문에서는 2 차원 심초음파도의 경계선 유사 영역에 대해 베이즈 추정기를 사용하여 경계선 검출을 위한 자동문턱 결정방법을 제안하고자 한다. 경계선 유사영역은 전처리과 정에서 흐려진 영상을 명확히 하는데 사용할 열비등방성 확산 방법의 전도계수로부터 얻어진다, 이러한 경계선 유사 영역에 대해 최적 문턱치를 선택하기 위해 베이즈 추정기가 사용되었다. 이 문턱치를 사용하여 영상을 이진화함으로서 심초음파도의 경계선을 자동 적으로 검출하게 된다. 마지막으로 본래의 심초음파도에 위에서 얻어진 경계선을 덧씌움으로써 경계선이 강조된 심초음파도를 얻을 수 있게 된다.

DESIGN CONCEPT FOR THE RETROFIT KAO 1M ROBOTIC TELESCOPE

  • Korea Astronomy Observatory(KAO) is working to retrofit its 1m robotic telescope in collaboration with a company (ACE, Astronomical Consultants & Equipment). The telescope system is being totally refurbished to make a fully automatic telescope which can operate in both interactive and fully autonomous robotic modes. Progress has been made in design and manufacturing of the telescope mount, mechanics, and optical performance system tests are being made for re-configured primary and secondary mirrors. The optical system is designed to collect 80% incident light within 0.5 arcsec with f/7.5 Ritchey-Chretien design. The telescope mount is an equatorial fork with a friction drive system. The design allows fully programmable tracking speeds with typical range of 15 arcsec/sec with accuracy of $\pm5$ arcsec/hour. The mount system has integral pointing model software to correct for refraction, and all mechanical errors and misalignments. The pointing model will permit positioning to better than 30 arcsec RMS within $75^{\circ}$ from zenith and 45 arcsec RMS elsewhere on the sky. The software is designed for interactive, remote and robotic modes of operation. In interactive and remote mode the user can manually enter coordinates or retrieve them from a computer file. In robotic mode the telescope controller downloads the coordinates in the order determined by the scheduler. The telescope will be equipped with a CCD camera and will be accessible via the internet.
