A Study on Automatic Compensation of Thermal Deformation Error for High Speed Feeding System (고속이송계의 열변형오차 자동보정에 관한 연구)

  • In the recent years, development of machine tool with high speed feeding system have brought a rapid increase in productivity. Practically, thermal deformation problem due to high speed is, however, become a large obstacle to realize high precision machining. In this study, therefore, the construction of automatic error compensation system to control thermal deformation in high speed feeding system with real time is proposed. To attain this purpose, high speed feeding system with feeding speed 60mm/min is developed and experimental equation for relationship between thermal deformation and temperature of ball screw shaft using multiple regression analysis is established. Furthermore, in order to analyze thermal deformation error, compensation coefficient is determined and thermal deformation experiments is carried out. From obtained results, it is confirmed that automatic error compensation system constructed in this study is able to control thermal deformation error within $15{\sim}20{\mu}m$.

  • This paper is concerned on kinematic analysis and simulation of an automatic feeding mechanism subjected by the motion of a curvilinear inverse can. The curvilinear cam is rotated by positioning a translating roller and the automatic feeding mechanism is moved to the sliding position by the motion of a campin fixed on the curvilinear cam. The curvilinear cam consists of two arcs of circles and two straight lines. The modular approach is used for the kinematic analysis of the feeding mechanism. As the first part of the paper for the motion simulation of the cam-feeding system, this paper discusses the algorithm to simulate the motion of the cam-feeding mechanism.   • This paper is concerned on kinematic analysis and simulation of an automatic feeding mechanism subjected by the motion of a curvilinear inverse cam. The main objection is the development of computer-aided design (CAD) program for simulating the motion of the cam-feeding mechanism using computer-graphics. A computer program CACAFS (Computer-Aided Cam and Automatic Feeding System) is independent of computer hardware used. The program is also interactive using a menu-selection technique. As the second part of the paper for the motion simulation of the cam-feeding system, this paper discusses the state-of-art for CAD. The first part of the paper presents the algorithm to simulate the notion of the cam-feeding mechanism.

  • This study was intended to develop the automatic feeding depth control system of the head-feed combine which could feed the rice head into threshing unit at the optimal depth regardless of plant height and uneven ground surface. In the control system, one-board microcomputer was used for the controller instead of conventional electric circuits. Field test of the combine equipped with the control system was conducted to evaluate its overall performance. It was also investigated how the location and time delay of rice head sensor affect the system performance.

  • Coagulant feeding control is very important in the water treatment process. Coagulant feeding is related to the raw water quality such as turbidity, alkalinity, water temperature, pH and so on. However, since the process of chemical reaction has not been clarified so far, coagulant dosing rate has been decided by jar-test. In order to overcome the difficulty mentioned above, Fuzzy Neural Network to fuse fuzzy logic and neural network was proposed, and the scheme was applied to the automatic determination of coagulant dosing rate. This algorithm can automatically identify the if-then rules, tune the membership functions by utilizing expert's experimental data. The proposed scheme is evaluated by computer simulation and interfaced with coagulant feeder operated by magnetic flowmeter, control valve and PLC. It is shown that coagulant feeding according to real time sensing of water quality is very effective.

  • Seam seal welding on the semiconductor package is a process for sealing the packages of semi-conductors, crystal parts, saw filters and oscillators with lid plate by seam welding.   • The automated fish feed system currently used in Korea supplies a certain amounts of feed to water tanks at a certain time. This automated system can reduce the labor cost of managing aqua farms, but it is very difficult to control intelligently and appropriately the amount of expensive feed that is critical to aqua farm productivity. In this paper, we propose the FIIFF Inference Model( Fuzzy Inference-based Intelligent Fish Feeding Model) that can solves the problems of these existing automatic fish feeding devices and maximizes the efficiency of feed supply while properly maintaining the growth rate of fish in aqua farms. The proposed FIIFF inference model has the advantage of being able to control feed amounts appropriately since it computes the amount of feed using the current water environments and fish activity state of the aqua farms. The result of the feed amount yield experiment with the proposed FIIFF Inference Model represents the effect of saving 14.8% over the eight months of actual feed amount in the aqua farm.

  • The purpose of t his paper is to database each factors from experimental results and develop the servo-controlled feeding system on these database. At first, spring back and bending farce are analyzed by basic theory of bending processing. In database, through practical experiment by the expert various types of bending angel and thickness of plate are tested and classified with SB34P and Aluminum. For the development of servo-controlled feeding system, automatic feeding system is designed and manufactured with ball screw and LM guide and performance of the developed feeding system is tested under condition of standard machine tool examination. Also, Mechanical consideration of mainframe in press brake, development of controller based on NC, program for servo-control are studied. Finally, based on experimental data, the system is operated and compared with theoretical data
