  • As a basic study on the machine tools of modular structure, a Computer Aided Design of feed driving unit and an optimization of the dynamic characteristics of a machine tool structure are carried out.. Computer-aided design technique enables designers to save time and to easily do the job in variant design by effectively documenting design techniques and data. In this study a computer program package was developed for automatic design of a proper feed driving units by utilizing building block principle of OIWA CADET.

자동차 패널용 헤밍 금형설계를 위한 타이밍차트 자동생성 (Automatic Generation of Timing Chart for Car Panel Hemming Die Design)

  • The inner and outer car panels for bonnet, door, and trunk lid are assembled by hemming rather than welding. To achieve successful fabrication of these panels, the complicated timing chart of hemming units for pre-and main hemming stages should be made to optimal one. In this study, a design system for automatic timing chart generation is developed. Using AutoCAD VBA and EXCEL data chart, hemming die design parameters and guidelines were put into the program to give hemming unit drawings and consequent timing charts. Then the prepared timing charts were checked and modified. The effectiveness of the system is verified by applying it successfully to hemming unit design for bonnet panel joining.

  • Air damper has a great advantage that is independent of temperature change. This paper presents an analysis approach and an application for designing nonviscous air damper with a piston and a cylinder. The objective functions for optimum design is damping coefficient and is maximized by changing two design variables that are length between piston and cylinder and orifice diameter. A digital computer program was developed which determines optimal air damper configuration for maximum damping coefficients. The results were applied to the automatic washer and are confirmed to be valid for the range of operating conditions.

  • 본 연구에서는 시공성을 고려한 변단면을 갖는 합성형 강상자형교의 최소비용을 구하기 위한 자동화 최적설계 프로그램을 개발하였다. 강상자형교 설계에 필요한 설계 제약조건은 도로교 표준 시방서를 비롯한 각종 설계기준과 실무자의 경험을 바탕으로 정식화하였다. 최적화의 효율성을 위해 강상자형교의 특성을 고려한 제약조건 소거기법, 설계 변수 연결기법, 응력 재해석 기법을 적용하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 프로그램은 구조해석 모듈, 최적설계모듈, 사용자의 입력 편의를 위한 전처리모듈 설계 업무자동화를 위한 후처리모듈로 구성되어 있으며, 구조해석은 신뢰성이 입증된 상업용 구조해석 프로그램인 RM-SPACEFRAME을 이용하여 격자모델에 대해 실시하도록 하였다. 또한 개발된 최적 설계 프로그램의 효율성과 실용성을 확인하기 위하여 몇 가지의 수치예제를 적용하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 최적설계 시스템은 향후 타 형식의 교량에 최적설계 프로그램의 모형으로 활용될 수 있으리라 사료된다.

  • This monograph is based on the purpose of exploiting the program, which let designers to easily compile the input data of a widely used FEM analysis program, SAP90 - one of structural analysis programs, and making it easy to design slab bridges by studying more efficient analysis method with optimization method. The knowledge of position at which a maximum moment occurs is helpful to do a practical design. Seeing that more time and capital should be invested when engineers depend on manual work in the process of making input data repeatedly, the automatic process would increase the degree of reliability and productivity.

  • 본 논문은 LLC 공진 컨버터에 적합한 자동화 권선 변압기 설계에 대한 포괄적인 방법에 대해서 나타낸다. 기존의 LLC 공진 변압기는 하나의 보빈에 모든 권선이 감겨져 있기 때문에 자동화 권선 구현이 어렵다는 문제점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 절연 테이프와 배리어 테이프가 없이 다중 보빈으로 자동 권선이 가능한 LLC 공진 변압기를 제안하였으며 제안한 LLC 공진 변압기의 설계 절차에 대해서도 나타내었다. Maxwell 3D 시뮬레이션 툴을 이용하여 제안한 LLC 공진 변압기의 해석 및 모델링을 상세하게 기술되었으며 또한 3D 모델링에 의해 제작된 제안한 LLC 공진 변압기를 이용하여 프로타입 150W LLC 공진 컨버터를 실험을 통해 확인하였다.

  • In recent years, researchers are increasingly trying to use BIM-based 3D models for BIM nD design such as 4D (3D + Time) and 5D (4D + Cost). However, there are still many problems in efficiently using process management based on the BIM information created at each design stage. Therefore, this study proposes a method to automate 4D and 5D design support in each design stage by using BIM-based Dynamo algorithm. To do this, I implemented an algorithm that can automatically input the process information needed for 4D and 5D by using Revit's Add-in program, Dynamo. In order to support the 4D design, the algorithm was created to enable automatic process simulation by synchronizing process simulation information (Excel file) through the Navisworks program, BIM software. The algorithm was created to automatically enable process simulation. And to support the 5D design, the algorithm was developed to enable automatic extraction of the information needed for mass production from the BIM model by utilizing the dynamo algorithm. Therefore, in order to verify the 4D and 5D design support algorithms, we verified the applicability through consultation with related workers and experts. As a result, it has been demonstrated that it is possible to manage information about process information and to quickly extract information from design and design changes. In addition, BIM data can be used to manage and input the necessary process information in 4D and 5D, which is advantageous for shortening construction time and cost. This study will make it easy to improve design quality and manage design information, and will be the foundation for future building automation research.

RAM 을 고려한 복합 생산시스템의 최적설계 및 평가방안의 연구 (A Study on a RAM-Based Model for Integrated Automatic Manufacturing System Design and Performance Evaluation)

  • The objective of this study is to develop a general design and performance evaluation model for the system designers in the initial design phase of the integrated automatic manufacturing system based on the RAM(Reliability, Availability and Maintainability) and life cycle cost(LCC). The methodology proposed in this research includes the following two stages. First, a deterministic approach to the solution of optimal work station arrangement for the initial system configuration is considered under the assumption that the system availability is one(no failure and maintenance), and then a stochastic simulation model based on RAM and LCC is developed. Using the results of these two stage simulation, a system performance index(SPI) was developed for the performance evaluation of the proposed system. Also a computer program is developed.

저수지 취수탑의 최적설계에 관한 연구(I) -허용능력 설계법을 중심으로- (Optimum Design of the Intake Tower of Reservoir(I) - With Application of Working Stress Design Method -)

  • The purpose of the present study is to set up an efficient optimum design method for the large-scale reinforced concrete cylindrical shell structures like intake tower of reservoir and to establish a solid foundation for the automatic optimum structural design combined with finite element analysis. The major design variables are the dimensions and steel areas of each member of the structures. The construction cost which is composed of the concrete, steel, and form work costs, respectively, is taken as the objective function. The constraint equations for the design of intake-tower are derived on the basis of the working stress design method. The corresponding design guides including the standard specification for concrete structures have been also employed in deraving the constraint conditions. The present nonlinear optimization problem is solved by SUMT method. The reinforced concrete intake-tower is decomposed into three major substructures. The optimization is then conducted for both the whole structure and the substructures. The following conclusions can be drawn from the present study. 1. The basis of automatic optimum design of reinforced concrete cylindrical shell structures which is combined with finite element analysis was established. 2. The efficient optimization algorithms which can execute the automatic optimum desigh of reinforced concrete intake-tower based on the working stress design method were developed. 3. Since the objective function and design variables were converged to their optimum values within the first or second iteration, the optImization algorithms developed in this study seem to be efficient and stable. 4. The difference in construction cost between the optimum designs with the substructures and with the entire structure was found to be small and thus the optimum design with the substructures,rnay conveniently be used in practical design. 5. The major active constraints of each structural member were found to be the tensile stress insteel for salb, the minimum lonitudinal steel ratio constraints for tower body and the shearing stress in concrete, tensile stress in steel and maximum eccentricityconstraints for footing, respectively. 6. The computer program develope in the present study can be effectively used even by an unexperienced designer for the optimum design of reinforced concrete intake-tower.
