  • This Paper presents a development of a CAD system for interactive design of steel frames. The adopted building code for structural design is "Steel Building Codes" enacted by the Architectural Institute of Korea in 1973. The selected member sections, therefore, are domestic rolled sections - especially, H shapes. The authors aim at a development of an integrated computer programs repeating plane frame analysis and design of members until minimum weight design condition is satisfied. This program also provides various section change functions to improve the shortcomings of automatic design.ic design.

  • This study presents a development of DeCatS(Detail Design of High Speed Catenary System) which is a software to design high speed catenary system automatically. The program is developed by Korea Railroad Research Institute with the support of KHSR. A process of developing it and a comparison with LEXCAT, in order to demonstrate a preciseness of that, were performed. In the program, decision of H-beam, cantilever fitting, management of materials, automatic drawing and etc. according to input conditions can be accomplished. In this study, especially the program algorithm for the decision of mast was introduced.

  • This study is an investigation far the Am optimum design using FEA. We write out program which express ADS perfectly and reduce the required time far correcting of model to the minion in solution md manufacture result. We complete algorithm which can plan optimum forming of model by feedback error information in CAE. Then we contract model by feedbback date obtaining in solution process, repeat course following stress solution again iud do modeling rachet wheel for optimum forming. That is our aim. In cachet wheel, greatest equivalence strss originates in key groove comer and KS standard is proved the design far security.

  • Dynamic simulation techniques are developed to analyze the shift characteristics of vehicle powertraisn with automatic transmission. In this study, the mathematical modeling of powertrain components such as engine , clutch system, planetary gear system and road load , is presented for the simulation. The clutch engagement condition, which determines the degree of freedom for the system, is also proposed .By using a detailed nonlinear model of torque converter, it is possibile to accurately analyze the extremely transient state such as the shift. Dynamo-based experiments are carried out to prove the validity of the proposed simulation techniques. Using the developed simulation program, the effects of the dynamic design variables and the control conditions , focused on the shift, are evaluated to improve the driving comforability.

  • In this study, we designed a model of NC controller with IBM-PC as a host CPU and intelligent servo controller for 2 axes that can be expaned to 4 axes. OS software was developed with C language at the base of mode selection technic for 9 NC operating modes. Servo controller design was based on the application of interpolator IC(3701) and position controller IC(3702) that permits low cost and high performance. For connection of two systems, parallel I/O communication was implemented. Finally, auto interpolation program test was executed for linear and circular paths resulting 1 LSB accuracy.

  • In this paper, we proposed the automatic cutting mechanism of the perforation pipes in an automobile muffler. This cutting mechanism makes continuous work possible, because it performs the batch work via the sequential operation of loading, feeding, cutting, and discharging. The proposed cutting mechanism consists of the frame unit, escape unit, turning unit, feeding unit, vision system, clamping unit, spindle/cutting unit and cooling unit. And, these mechanisms have been modularized through mechanical, dynamical and structural optimized design using the SMO (SimDesigner Motion) analysis module. Also, the virtual prototype was carried out using the 3-D CAD program. The cutting process cycle is performed in the order of loading, vision processing, feeding, clamping, cutting and discharging. And the cycle time for cutting one piece was designed to be completed in four seconds.

  • 최근에 각광받고 있는 3D BIM기반 철근 물량 산출 현황을 살펴보면 상용 BIM 도구들이 철근 모델링 기능을 제공하지만 그 기능을 이용해서 철근을 모델링하려고 하면 방대한 양의 모델링 시간이 소요가 되어 현재 실용적으로 사용할 수 있는 BIM 소프트웨어는 없다. 본 연구에서는 BIM 기반 설계 현업에서 실용적인 철근 물량 산출 프로세스를 정리 및 제시하고, 초기설계단계의 단면 정보가 없는 상태에서 기존의 2D방식에 비하여 보다 정확하게 기동, 보, 슬래브, 벽체의 철근 단면 정보를 자동으로 배근해주는 프로그램인 Rebar Automatic Arrangement Program(이하 RAAP)을 개발하였다. 본 연구 결과는 건설프로젝트의 초기 설계단계에서 설계 진행상 구조 부재 단면 설계가 완료되지 않은 상태의 골조 물량 산출 시 적은 노력으로 기존의 2D기반 방식보다 신뢰성을 향상시킨 물량을 산출할 수 있는 기술로 발전시키는데 의미가 있으며, 합리적인 초기 설계단계의 물량 산출 프로그램을 구축할 수 있는 기초 연구로서 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • In this paper automatic 3D wing shape modeling program is introduced. The program is developed in Visual Basic based on Net Framework 3.5 environment by using CATIA COM Library, and it is used together with CATIA system to model 3D wings with or without flaps. With this program users can easily construct wing models by specifying geometry parameters which are usually design variables with the aid of easy-to-use GUI environment, and specifying sectional airfoil data is done either by using analytic shape functions such as NACA series airfoils or by providing input files with point data describing the airfoil shape. When all the input parameters are provided, users can either work further with the model in the CATIA system which would be automatically started by the program or save the resultant model in the format of users choice. Unstructured grid generation program is also briefly described which can make grid generation task for a 3D wing easy and efficient one when used together with the wing modeling program by choosing STL format as the model's output format.

  • In this study, the design program for optimal wire batch around service line is made to improve the dielectric strength at the primary winding using Finite Element Method. The automatic convergence algorithm for finding of limit object value using loop circulation method is developed to make the optimal design simulator The modulation method is suggested to make division time faster which is very important for full program efficiency. As a result, the program execution time is reduced about 32% and the optimal wire batch design is obtained.
