Development of Automatic Cruise Control System of Mobile Robot Using Fuzzy-Neural Control Technique (퍼지-뉴럴 제어기법에 의한 이동 로봇의 자율주행 제어시스템 개발)

  • This paper presents a new approach to the design of cruise control system of a mobile robot with two drive wheel. The proposed control scheme uses a Gaussian function as a unit function in the fuzzy-neural network, and back propagation algorithm to train the fuzzy-neural network controller in the framework of the specialized learning architecture. It is proposed a learning controller consisting of two neural network-fuzzy based on independent reasoning and a connection net with fixed weights to simply the neural networks-fuzzy. The performance of the proposed controller is shown by performing the computer simulation for trajectory tracking of the speed and azimuth of a mobile robot driven by two independent wheels.

The feasible constant speed helical trajectories for propeller driven airplanes

  • The motion of propeller driven airplanes, flying at constant speed on ascending or descending helical trajectories is analyzed. The dynamical abilities of the airplane are shown to result in restrictions on the ranges of the geometrical parameters of the helical path. The physical quantities taken into account are the variation of air density with altitude, the airplane mass change due to fuel consumption, its load factor, its lift coefficient, and the thrust its engine can produce. Formulas are provided for determining all the airplane dynamical parameters on the trajectory. A procedure is proposed for the construction of tables from which the flyability of trajectories at a given angle of inclination and radius can be read, with the corresponding minimum and maximum speeds allowed, the final altitude reached and the amount of fuel burned. Sample calculations are shown for the Cessna 182, a Silver Fox like unmanned aerial vehicle, and the C-130 Hercules.

  • The paper presents a method of constructing simple fuzzy control rules for the determination of stabilizing signals of automatic voltage regulator and governor, which are controllers of electric power systems. Fuzzy control rules are simplified by considering a coordinate transformation with the rotation angle .theta. on the phase plane, and by expanding the range of membership functions. Also, two rotation angles .theta. $_{1}$ and .theta. $_{2}$ are selected for the linearizable region and the nonlinear one of the system, respectively. Here, .theta. $_{1}$ is chosen by the pole assignment method, and .theta. $_{2}$ by a performance index. Fuzzy inference is applied to the connection of two rotation angles .theta. $_{1}$ and .theta. $_{1}$ by regarding the distance from the desired equilibrium point as a variable of condition parts. The control effect is demonstrated by an application of the proposed method to one-machine infinite-bus power system.

  • One set of rotor coils is required per each large generator rotor assembly, Rotors consist of two directly opposing poles. Each pole requires from 5 to 9 coils. Each coil is made up of two halves identified on the connection end. These coil halves will be joined together by butt brazing process during subsequent rotor assembly. Each half coil is made up of typically 4 to 9 layers of copper conductors. Because of Generator rotor is rotated very high speed with 3,600RPM, the quality soundness of brazed joints is very important at each coil. But, it is very difficult to be optimized non-destructive evaluation, because c-coil has the long shape and evaluation is to be done assembled condition. In this paper introduce newly developed inspection process and acceptance standards for the ultrasonic inspection of " C" coil butt braze. This inspection system is a semi-automatic ultrasonic flaw detector with data acquisition and retention capable of assessing the relative lack of bond of brazed butt joints

  • The monitoring effectiveness not only depends on the effectiveness of the network, but also the costs of the network. Generally the costs of the monitoring network are mainly on the equipment and personnel; the implementation and maintenance; the observation and sample connection; the sample analysis; and the data storage and processing. The cost of the monitoring network can be expressed as a function of monitoring frequency because the monitoring method can be an automatic or a manual measurement. To determine the sampling frequency of subsidiary groundwater monitoring stations, time series data of national groundwater monitoring stations were used. The proposed optimal sampling frequency for subsidiary groundwater monitoring station is about 7 to 20 days and the average frequency is about 2 weeks.

  • MPEG-IoMT 표준은 미디어 사물과 관련된 데이터 포맷 및 인터페이스와 관련된 국제 표준 프로젝트로서 여러 플랫폼에서도 다양한 미디어 사물을 등록, 연결 및 통신을 할 수 있게 제공한다. 하지만 현재로서 다수의 미디어 사물 간 연결 수립은 사용자가 수동으로 수행해야 하며, 연결이 되었다 하더라도 미디어 사물 간 데이터 통신의 진행 상태를 확인할 수단이 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 MPEG-IoMT 표준 내 미디어 사물 관리자(Media Thing Manager)를 제안한다. 미디어 사물 관리자는 미디어 사물 간 자동 연결을 위해 미션 데이터를 생성 및 관리하며, API 를 통해 미디어 사물 간 통신 수행 여부를 확인할 수 있다.
