  • In this paper, we propose an auto-tuning control algorithm for a mobile robot. This controller consists of a three layer neural networks and a PID controller. In order to compensate for uncertainties from unknown dynamics and ignored dynamic effects such as slip conditions, neural network based position schemes are proposed. The results of simulations show the validity of proposed method. This controller learns quickly the model and has good position control performance.

  • The idea of expert control is to incorporate a rule based expert system in a feedback control system. In this paper, we present some heuristic rules based on relay experiment for the choice of controller structure and the setting of the controller parameters. Heuristic rules are used as an element of the feedback loop in an auto-tuning PID controller. The algorithms are coded in a form which is as pure as possible and the heuristic logic is implemented with the rules. This paper reports an implementation of an expert controller on microcomputer-based system, including an industrial programmable controller.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new PID tuning algorithm by the fuzzy set theory to improve the performance of the PID controller. The new tuning algorithm for the PID controller has the initial value of parameter Kc, $\tau$I, $\tau$D by the Ziegler-Nichols formula using the ultimate gain and ultimate period from a relay tuning experiment. We get error and error change of plant output correspond to the initial value and new proportion gain(Kc) and integral time($\tau$I) from fuzzy tunner. This fuzzy tuning algorithm for PID controller considerably reduced overshoot and rise time compare to any other PID controller tuning algorithms. In real parametric uncertainty systems, the PID controller with Fuzzy auto-tuning give appreciable improvement in the performance. The significant properties of this algorithm is shown by simulation In this paper, we proposed a new PID algorithm by the fuzzy set theory to improve the performance of the PID controller.

Design of Sliding Mode Controller with Auto-tuning Method

  • Sliding mode control(SMC) are carried out in this literature. And to make the controllers perform better, fuzzy logic was chosen,it makes PID controller auto-tuning parameters and reduced the chattering problem of sliding mode control. Since SMC take error and derivative of error as inputs, after comparison some results are obtained.PID controller response faster yet sliding mode control is much steadier. However certain problems cannot be ignored that the chattering phenomenal cannot be reduced entirely and this motion may hurt the machine; this project only considered a simple system, there is no guarantee PID can work as well as in this case for a much more complex system. MATLAB simulink was the main approach to obtain the performance of the two controllers: to observe the control output of the two controllers, electric circuit and special controllers are designed and tested in MATLAB.

  • 비례솔레노이드밸브는 코일전류에 비례하는 전자기력을 이용하여 밸브 변위를 연속적으로 가변시키는 밸브이다. 대용량 비례유량제어밸브는 발전소나 화학 플랜트에서 물, 스팀, 가스 등과 같은 공정유체의 대용량 유량제어에 사용되며 공압이나 모터를 이용하는 밸브에 비하여 우수한 응답성능과 소형화의 장점을 가진다. 본 연구에서는 비례제어밸브를 대상으로 밸브의 동적 특성을 식별한 후 목표 성능이 만족되도록 위치제어기의 비례적분이득을 자동으로 조정하는 기능을 설계하였다. 동특성 식별은 릴레이 피드백을 통하여 한계 안정 상태에서의 임계이득과 임계주기로 파악하였으며, 비례적분이득 결정에는 Ziegler-Nichols 방법을 적용하였다. 구현된 기능은 시험을 통하여 성능을 검증하였으며 밸브 작동점과 릴레이 제어기 변수가 자동조정에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.

퍼지 논리를 이용한 슬라이딩 모드 제어기의 인자 자동 튜닝

  • Sliding mode control guarantees robustness in the presence of modeling uncertainties and external disturbances. However, this can be obtained at the cost of high control activity that may lead to chattering As one way to alleviate this problem a boundary layer around sliding surface is typically used. In this case the selection of controller gain, control ban width and boundary layer thickness is a crucial problem for the trade-off between tracking error and chattering. The parameter tuning is usually done by trail-and-error in practice causing significant effort and time. An auto tuning method based on fuzzy rules is proposed in the paper in this method tracking error and chattering are monitored by performance indices and the controller tunes the design parameters intelligently in order to compromise both indices. To demonstrate the efficiency of the propose method a mass-spring translation system and a roboic control system are simulated and tested It is shown that the proposed algorithm is effective to facilitae the parameter tuning for sliding mode controllers.

  • Controller refinement scheme to improve the performance of a conventional system automatically in frequency domain is proposed. The controller automatic tuning method features using experimental frequency responses of the conventional closed-loop system, the conventional controller, and the improved closed-loop system, instead of poorly modeled plant due to non-linearities and disturbances. The improved closed-loop system characteristics is automatically acquired by the con-ventional closed-loop system characteristics and the proposed performance index in system bandwidth. And the proper controller is realized by least squares approximation in frequency domain. To testify the usefulness of the approach, the path tracking control of robot arm is performed. Experimental results and analytic results are well-matched.

PSO알고리즘을 활용한 능동 제진 시스템 PID 오토 튜닝에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Active Vibration Isolator PID Auto-tuning Using PSO Algorithm)

  • Vibration is one of the factors that degrades the performance of equipment and measurement equipment used in high-tech industries such as semiconductors and display. The vibration isolator is classified into passive type and active type. The passive vibration isolator has the weakness of insufficient vibration isolation performance in the low frequency band, so an active vibration control system that can overcome these problems is used recently. In this paper, PID controller is used to control the active vibration isolator. Methods for setting the gain of the PID controller include the Zeigler-Nichols method, the pole placement method. These methods have the disadvantage of requiring a lot of time or knowing the system model accurately. This paper proposes the gain auto tuning method of the active vibration isolator applied with the PSO algorithm, which is an optimization algorithm that is easy to implement and has stable convergence performance with low calculations. It is expected that it will be possible to improve vibration isolation performance and reduce the time required for gain tuning by applying the proposed PSO algorithm to the active vibration isolator.

  • 본 논문에서는 한계계단 응답특성을 이용하여 영구자석헝 동기전동기의 속도 제어계에 대한 새로운 자동동조 PI(Proportional Integral) 제어기를 설계하였다. 과도응답 기간동안 소위 한계입력이라고 하는 계단입력을 인가하여 Pㅑ 제어기의 자동동조를 위한 정보를 얻기 위한 기법을 제안한다. 시스템 파라메터 추정과 동시에 속도제어가 온라인으로 이루어지는데, 이것은 시스템의 불확실성에도 불구하고 한계입력에 의해서 얻어진 시스템 파라메터 정보가 연속적으로 PI 제어기에 적용될 수 있다는 것이다. 제안된 자동동조 알고리즘은 단조증가 계단응답 특성을 갖는 영구 자석형 동기전동기의 속도제어에 대한 시뮬레이션과 실험결과를 통하여 그 유효함을 확인하였다.
