In this paper, we propose a one-class vibration anomaly detection system for bearing defect diagnosis. In order to reduce the economic and time loss caused by bearing failure, an accurate defect diagnosis system is essential, and deep learning-based defect diagnosis systems are widely studied to solve the problem. However, it is difficult to obtain abnormal data in the actual data collection environment for deep learning learning, which causes data bias. Therefore, a one-class classification method using only normal data is used. As a general method, the characteristics of vibration data are extracted by learning the compression and restoration process through AutoEncoder. Anomaly detection is performed by learning a one-class classifier with the extracted features. However, this method cannot efficiently extract the characteristics of the vibration data because it does not consider the frequency characteristics of the vibration data. To solve this problem, we propose an AutoEncoder model that considers the frequency characteristics of vibration data. As for classification performance, accuracy 0.910, precision 1.0, recall 0.820, and f1-score 0.901 were obtained. The network design considering the vibration characteristics confirmed better performance than existing methods.
Due to the revolutionary advances in deep learning, performance of pattern recognition has increased significantly in many applications like speech recognition and image recognition, and some systems outperform human-level intelligence in specific domains. Unlike pattern recognition, in this paper, we focus on generating Korean sentences based on a few Korean sentences. We apply variational recurrent auto-encoder (VRAE) and modify the model considering some characteristics of Korean sentences. To reduce the number of words in the model, we apply a word spacing model. Also, there are many Korean sentences which have the same meaning but different word order, even without subjects or objects; therefore we change the unidirectional encoder of VRAE into a bidirectional encoder. In addition, we apply an interpolation method on the encoded vectors from the given sentences, so that we can generate new sentences which are similar to the given sentences. In experiments, we confirm that our proposed method generates better sentences which are semantically more similar to the given sentences.
Clustering is one of the most fundamental algorithms in machine learning. The performance of clustering is affected by the distribution of data, and when there are more data or more dimensions, the performance is degraded. For this reason, we use a stacked auto encoder, one of the deep learning algorithms, to reduce the dimension of data which generate a feature vector that best represents the input data. We use k-means, which is a famous algorithm, as a clustering. Sine the feature vector which reduced dimensions are also multi dimensional, we use the Euclidean distance as well as the cosine similarity to increase the performance which calculating the similarity between the center of the cluster and the data as a vector. A deep clustering networks combining a stacked auto encoder and k-means re-trains the networks when the k-means result changes. When re-training the networks, the loss function of the stacked auto encoder and the loss function of the k-means are combined to improve the performance and the stability of the network. Experiments of benchmark image ad document dataset empirically validated the power of the proposed algorithm.

Recent research shows that latent directions can be used to image process towards certain attributes. However, controlling the generation process of generative model is very difficult. Though the latent directions are used to image process for certain attributes, many restrictions are required to enhance the attributes received the latent vectors according to certain text and prompts and other attributes largely unaffected. This study presents a generative model having certain restriction to the latent vectors for image generation and manipulation. The suggested method requires only few minutes per manipulation, and the simulation results through Tensorflow Variational Auto-encoder show the effectiveness of the suggested approach with extensive results.
Small business owners are relatively likely to be alienated from various benefits caused by the change to a big data/AI-based society. To support them, we would like to detect a hot place based on the floating population to support small business owners' decision-making in the start-up area. Through various studies, it is known that the population size of the region has an important effect on the sales of small business owners. In this study, inland regions were extracted from the Incheon floating population data from January 2019 to June 2022. the Data is consisted of a grid of 50m intervals, central coordinates and the population for each grid are presented, made image structure through imputation to maintain spatial information. Spatial outliers were removed and imputated using LOF and GAM, and temporal outliers were removed and imputated through LOESS. We used ConvLSTM which can take both temporal and spatial characteristics into account as a predictive model, and used AutoEncoder structure, which performs outliers detection based on reconstruction error to define an area with high MAPE as a hot place.
This paper applies an expert independent unsupervised neural network learning-based multivariate time series data analysis model, MSCRED(Multi-Scale Convolutional Recurrent Encoder-Decoder), and to overcome the limitation, because the MCRED is based on Auto-encoder model, that train data must not to be contaminated, by using learning data sampling technique, called Subset Sampling Validation. By using the vibration data of power plant equipment that has been labeled, the classification performance of MSCRED is evaluated with the Anomaly Score in many cases, 1) the abnormal data is mixed with the training data 2) when the abnormal data is removed from the training data in case 1. Through this, this paper presents an expert-independent anomaly diagnosis framework that is strong against error data, and presents a concise and accurate solution in various fields of multivariate time series data.
The auto-encoder network which is a good candidate to handle the modeling of the signal strength attenuation is designed for denoising and compensating the distortion of the received data. It provides a non-linear mapping function by iteratively learning the encoder and the decoder. The encoder is the non-linear mapping function, and the decoder demands accurate data reconstruction from the representation generated by the encoder. In addition, the adaptive network width which supports the automatic generation of new hidden nodes and pruning of inconsequential nodes is also implemented in the proposed algorithm for increasing the efficiency of the algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed method can improve the neural network training surface to achieve the highest possible accuracy of the signal modeling compared with the conventional modeling method.
Recently, Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) and Variational AutoEncoders (VAE) have been applied to voice conversion that can make use of non-parallel training data. Especially, Conditional Cycle-Consistent Generative Adversarial Networks (CC-GAN) and Cycle-Consistent Variational AutoEncoders (CycleVAE) show promising results in many-to-many voice conversion among multiple speakers. However, the number of speakers has been relatively small in the conventional voice conversion studies using the CC-GANs and the CycleVAEs. In this paper, we extend the number of speakers to 100, and analyze the performances of the many-to-many voice conversion methods experimentally. It has been found through the experiments that the CC-GAN shows 4.5 % less Mel-Cepstral Distortion (MCD) for a small number of speakers, whereas the CycleVAE shows 12.7 % less MCD in a limited training time for a large number of speakers.

Image transmission by means of telecommunications is an essential task for information sharing. For considerable distances, wireless channels can be utilized and tuned for proper uses of image data exchange. However, the disturbances that a radio wave encounter during transmission causes partial or total loss of information. Result of such communications is a distorted image at the receiver's end. This paper proposes an auto-encoder architecture as an image enhancement method for narrow-bandwidth radio images. With this method, a distorted image can be improved for better receiver satisfaction. The proposed auto-encoder is trained with many narrow-bandwidth radio image data; hence it enhances a given distorted image. Also, the results were verified with the original image data being the reference images.
