  • Recently, new interests on digital contents and UCC(User Created Content)s are growing fast through the development of internet. However, there have been many side-effects on those interests. The representative problems are perversing illegal copies and the distributions for personal valuable digital contents to unauthorized anonymous users. These decrease creation of good digital contents by interfering with the growth of information technology industry and the content provider#s creative will. To resolve these problems, in the paper, we propose a novel auction system for multimedia contents and bidding processes. The system applies the concept of used goods onto digital contents. Especially, the auction system is based on mobile environment. Finally, the performance evaluation shows that those main auction process algorithms indicate the time complexity of logarithm scale for insertions and searches. Therefore, the performance of the system is not significantly influenced by the amount of contents even though the volume of contents in the system is increasing.

An Auction based Hierarchical Link Allocation Algorithm for Throughput Improvement of Relay Station Systems (Relay Station 시스템의 Throughput 향상을 위한 Auction 기반 계층적 링크 할당 알고리듬)

  • In this paper, a hierarchical link allocation algorithm between mobile stations (MSs) and the corresponding base station (BS) by an optimal utilization of relay stations (RSs) is proposed to improve throughput of RS systems. In the proposed hierarchical algorithm, each RS operates cognitive radio functions to sense the degree of satisfaction in the quality of services (QoSs) and then selects the candidate set of MSs to have links with the RS. Such information is reported to the BS, where an auction process is performed to get an optimal allocation of communication links between the MSs and the BS. To maximize system throughput, the proposed auction algorithm is conducted upon bidding prices of communication links, considering both the co-channel interference (CCI) information shared among adjacent cells and the QoS enhancement information for each MS collected from RSs. The BS then switches the communication links of the auction winner MSs through the corresponding RS. The computer simulation shows that the proposed algorithm enhances the user QoS more than the conventional algorithm, especially for RS systems with more users requiring higher QoS. The proposed algorithm has also been proved to have more robust performance than the conventional one when the traffic load is higher and the CCI becomes stronger.

A Case Study of Retail Fashion Buying through B2B (B2B를 이용한 유통업체의 의류상품구매 사례연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the current situation of B2B fashion buying behavior (i.e., buying motives, product characteristics, buying processes), and to analyze the buying performance, buying problems and buying strategies. In depth, face-to-face interviews with structured questionnaire were conducted with three buyers and three vendors related to 18 buying items of C Company. Results of this research were as following:1. Buying motives were mainly reduction of buying costs, improvement of profits, and increased efficiency in buying process for retail buyers, while the selling motive was mainly improvement of market share for suppliers. Suitable items for B2B buying were basic items or bulk items. The B2B buying process included the following steps: selecting auction items, target prices, and suppliers ; setting the product specification and bidding niles; training the suppliers for preparing the auction; proceeding the auction by internet. 2. The perceived B2B benefits for buyers were profit improvement and cost reduction while those for suppliers were time saving and market share improvement. The indicated buying problems were as poor product quality, low product image, and difficulty in partnership. For B2B buying strategies, a quality management system, various auction tactics based on items, and a supplier management system were recommended.

  • Re-auction happens when a bid winner defaults on the payment without making second in-line purchase declaration even after determining sales permission. This is a process of selling under the court's authority. Re-auctioning contract price of real estate is largely influenced by the real estate business, real estate value, and the number of bidders. This paper is designed to establish a statistical model that deals with the number of bidders participating especially in apartment re-auctioning. For these, diverse factors are taken into consideration, including ratio of minimum sales value from the point of selling to re-auctioning, number of bidders at the time of selling, investment value of the real estate, and so forth. As an attempt to consider ambiguous and vague factors, this paper presents a comparatively vague concept of real estate and bidders as trapezoid fuzzy number. Two different methods based on the least squares estimation are applied to fuzzy regression model in this paper. The first method is the estimating method applying substitution after obtaining the estimators of regression coefficients, and the other method is to estimate directly from the estimating procedure without substitution. These methods are provided in application for re-auction data, and appropriate performance measure is also provided to compare the accuracies.

  • Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) models have developed rapidly due to the emergence of various variation models and their wide applications. Despite many recent developments in GANs, mode collapse, and instability are still unresolved issues. To address these problems, we focused on the fact that a single GANs model itself cannot realize local failure during the training phase without external standards. This paper introduces a novel training process involving multiple GANs, inspired by auction mechanisms. During the training, auxiliary performance metrics for each GANs are determined by the others through the process of various auction methods.

  • A cloud computing is one of a parallel and distributed computing. The cloud computing provides some service for user with virtual resources. However, a user's service request does not show a time pattern. As a result, each resource also shows a different availability at the same time. This difference affects a quality of service (QoS) and a resource selection for users. Therefore, we propose the resource availability-based multi auction model for cloud service reservation and resource brokering system. The proposed system is to select the proper resource provider based on the users' request. The proposal adopts the multi phase of the auction to transact resources. The system evaluates the available factor of each resource on the auction phase, and finally reserves the service on the adaptive queue. The proposed model shows the better performance than other existing method.

A Legislative Study on the Plans for its Improvements and Problems of the Lien in the Real Estate Auction (부동산경매에서 유치권의 문제점과 개선방안에 대한 입법론적 검토)

  • A lien is the right to possession the thing until receiving repayment of its bonds in some cases that the property of other person or the occupant for marketable securities receive the bond that has occurred on that property or marketable securities. This has own purpose to break 'principle of creditor equality' to protect especially the bond of the subject occupant in terms of justice. These lien on our civil law come according to the law in prepared certain requirements. However, an incomplete real rights granted by way of security that does not have a preferential performance right or seniority on the exchange value of the object suffer from the problems a lot in the real estate auction process because of the feature that is not announced in the register unlike the mortgage. In addition, the lien of real estate is not lapsed in an auction process. There is no preferential performance righ in a positive law as providing that can oppose to the buyer(a successful bidder) until received repayment the secured bond price to be compliant with the lien(Civil Case Execution Law the 91st clause of Article 5). However, as asserted the super preferential performance righ to a buyer in real terms, acts as primary cause of breaking unexpected loss and according unfair law relation to a senior mortgagee and seizor, etc. and the principles of the creditors equality to the persons concerned in other words, the principles of justice. All of these issues are the establishment of the lien and theory conflict on the effects. In spite of the fluctuations of a real right about real estate is announced as a registration by the current law, only the lien come into unclear announcement means for possession. In addition, Civil Case Execution Law argument is caused by the adoption abernahmeprinzip about the lien (Civil Case Execution Law the 91st clause of Article 5). Therefore, this paper was examined briefly the significance and purpose, history and law-making examples of each country and the valid requirements and effect of the lien that is basic principle of law about the lien system above all. And then, it will be reviewed the improvement plan for de lege ferenda to improve the issues about this after reviewing the objection, theory and judicial precedent about opposing power and preferential performance right of the lien in the real estaKey Words : Lien, Oppose Power, Mortgage right, Preferential Performance right, Seizure, Real Estate Auction, Lien who can not Opposing against Successful Bidder, Lien who can Oppose against Successful Bidder, Possessionte auction that is a fundamental problem on requirement and effect of the lien.

A Study on Court Auction System using Ethereum-based Ether (이더리움 기반의 이더를 사용한 법원 경매 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • Blockchain technology is also actively studied in the real estate transaction field, and real estate transactions have various ways. In this paper, we propose a model that simplifies the authentication procedure of auction systems using Ethereum's Ether to solve the problem of offline court auctions. The proposed model is written in Ethereum's Solidity language, the court registers the sale date and the sale date with the DApp browser, and the bidder accesses the address of the individual's wallet created through Metamask's private key. The bidder then selects the desired sale and enters the bid price amount to participate in the auction. The bidder's record of the highest bid price for the sale he wants is written on the Ethereum test network as a smart contract. and creates a block. Finally, smart contracts written on the network are distributed by the court auction manager to all nodes in the blockchain network, and each node in the blockchain network can be viewed and contract verified. As a result of analyzing the smart contracts of the proposed model and the performance of the system, there are fees incurred due to the creation and use of Ether on platforms using Ethereum, and participation. Ether's changes in value affect the price of the sale, resulting in inconsistent fees in smart contracts each time. However, in future work, we issue our own tokens to solve the market volatility problem and commission problem with the value change of Ether, and refine complex court auction systems.

  • Research and development of grid computing ware mainly focused on high performance computing field such as large-scale computing operation. Many companies and organizations concentrated on existing computational grid. However, service grid focusing on enterprise environments has been noticed gradually. Grid service providers of service grid construct diverse and specialized services and provide service resources that have economic feasibility to grid users. But, service resources are geographically dispersed and divided into many classes and have individual owners and management policies. In order to utilize and allocate resources effectively, service grid needs a resource management model that handles and manages heterogeneous resources of service grid. Therefore, this paper presents the third party grid service marketplace model using virtualization to solve problems of grid service resource management. Also, this paper proposes resource dealing mechanism and pricing algorithms applicable for service grid. Empirical results show usefulness and efficiency of the third party grid service marketplace model in comparison with typical economic models for grid resource management such as single auction model and double auction model.

User Demand-based Grid Trade Management Model (사용자 요구기반의 그리드 거래 관리 모델)

  • Importance of and need for grid resource management have accelerated in accordance with increasing development of grid computing. However, it is very complex to distribute and utilize resources efficiently in geographically dispersed environments. This is due to the different access policies and constraints of grid resource owners. Users request resources according to their needs. Operators of a grid computing system need to be able to monitor the system states for reflecting these demands. So, a grid computing system needs a resource management policy that monitors states of resources and then allocates resources. This paper proposes a user demand-based grid trade management model that provides an efficient resource management by the trade allocation based on a users' demand and providers' supply strategy. To evaluate performance, this paper measures increasing rate of resource trades, average response time of trades, and processing time utilization. Firstly, the average increasing rates of trade are 585.7% and 322.6% higher than an auction model and a double auction model. Secondly, the average response time of the user demand-based grid trade management model is maintained between 3 and 5 simulation time. Finally, it is found that the processing time utilization is an average of 145.4% and 118.0% higher than an auction model and a double auction model. These empirical results demonstrate the usefulness of the user demand-based grid trade management model.
