  • A spacecraft attitude control ground hardware simulator development is discussed in the paper. The simulator is called KT/KARI HILSSAT(Hardware-In-the Loop Simulator Single Axis Testbed), and the main structure consists of a single axis bearing and a satellite main body model on the bearing. The single axis tabel as ans experimental hardware simulator that evaluates performance and applicability of a satellite before evolving and/or confirming a mew or and old control logic used in the KOREASAT is developed. Attitude control of spaceraft by using reaction wheel is performed.

  • Need for agile satellites increases for performing various mission due to increase of satellite image applications and users. This paper performs attitude maneuver analysis by using Satellite Tool Kit(STK) made by AGI. In order to automate the STK analysis process, a MATLAB program is developed to generate STK input data and to process STK output data. Five attitude maneuver modes are analyzed and attitude angle variation and required torques are calculated.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a model of attitude toward reading. For that the concept and factors of reading attitude were examined and the preceding reading attitude models were critically studied to propose the new reading attitude model. The reading attitude model is consisted of three component named reading environment domain, reader domain and reading domain. The results of the development of a model of attitude toward reading are as follows. First, This study proposed a theoretical framework that can check and measure the reading attitude in various aspects by dividing reading attitudes into cognition, affect and intention factors. Second, It reinforced the logicality on the construct of reading attitude by dividing behavioral factor of reading attitude into the intention and the behavior. Third, This Model reflected the importance of book with text by specifying physical books and reading a book in the model. Fourth, this model theoretically proposes the potential for change of reading attitude and behavior by suggesting cognitive and affective schema from reading experience. Fifth, the developed reading attitude model helps to understand the form and process of reading attitude by presenting impact of reading environment and stimulation derived from reading environment on reader and reader's reading behavior and affective relation on feedback.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of contact with the elderly in a daily life on children's ageist attitude. Acknowledging the people's tendency to report in socially appropriate ways to the explicit attitude measurement, implicit measurement is introduced, and relation with the daily contact with elderly(DCE) is analyzed. The research question are as follows: 1) Are these two attitudes explained by different factors? 2) Can DCE alleviate both children's implicit and explicit ageist attitude? 3) How do the contact with grandparent and neighboring elderly affect the children's explicit and implicit ageist attitude? Data was collected from 503 fourth to sixth grade elementary school children. Child-Age Implict Association Test is used to measure implicit ageist attitude. Multinominal logistic analysis and ordered logistic analysis was applied. Followings are the main results: First, explicit and implicit ageist attitudes are found to be related with different predictors. Second, Elderly contact seems to lighten children's ageist attitude overall. Third, the effects of grandparental contact and the neighboring elderly contact on two different ageism were different. While the effect of elderly neighbor contact is limited to the expression of ageism, grandparental contact has a influence not only on the explicit but also on the implicit ageism, even though the effect on implicit attitude is limited in extent. Forth, not the quality of contact but the quantity of it was related to implicit ageist attitude. This result contradicts conventional idea of Intergroup Contact Theory. In the further research, the predictor of implicit ageist attitude need to be throughly examined.

  • In this paper, we focus on the creative attitude in mathematics as one aspect of mathematical creativity. To measure the creative attitude, we first introduce some prior studies and CAS (Creative Attitude Scale) designed by Noboru Saito in Japan. We develop the CAS-K (Creative Attitude Scale-Korea) including 33 items of 7 factors based on CAS which has 27 items. The factors are fluency, appropriateness, positiveness, independency, concentration, convergency, and accuracy. In CAS-K, it is important to give the information about students' creative attitude for each factor. Thereby, CAS-K can be useful sources of creative attitude to foster mathematical creativity. Rather than the total scores, we emphasize applications and results from CAS-K relating to the 7 factors.

  • As one of validation tool for attitude determination system, we have used various constraints using priori information which is known through base vector set up. However these conventional constraints cannot guarantee validity in terms of final solutions such as Euler angle. So we suggest attitude boundary concept to verify the final attitude solution on the flying airplane, it is based on the combination of velocity based attitude estimation technique and ambiguity resolution. we can say it can check invalid solution effectively at just one epoch without repeatability test of resolved cycle ambiguity. In this paper we show that the suggested constraint can effectively reject incorrectly resolved cycle ambiguity the conventional constraints have missed.

  • In this paper, we have developed a multi-attitude monitoring system for running farm robots for field farming. There are many agricultural robots that can select work modules for various tasks. In order to control the stable attitude of agricultural robots connected to each other, we developed a system for monitoring the roll angle and pitch angle difference by fusing the information of the attitude monitoring system mounted on the robot mainframe and the work module. The developed attitude monitoring system showed resolution below 1 degree. In this paper, roll angle difference of 20 degrees and 60 degrees is measured with a multi - attitude monitoring system.

  • This study was to investigate if there are any segmented groups of residents' attitude toward tourism development and also to examin if there are significant differences among such segmented groups in terms of community spirits and touridms development supports. From the literature review, the survey questionaries was developed and a total of 358 useful sample were collected and analyzed in SPSS. The results from cluster and MANOVA showed that there are some significant differences among the segmented groups. the higher residents have positive attitude toward tourism development the stronger residents have community spirits and tourism development support, More insight implication and discussion was provide in conclusion.

  • As the remote sensing satellite technology grows, the acquisition of accurate attitude and position information of the satellite has become more and more important. Due to the data processing limitation of the on-board orbit propagator and attitude determination algorithm, it is required to develop much more accurate orbit and attitude determination, which are so called POD (precision orbit determination) and PAD (precision attitude determination) techniques. The sensor and attitude dynamics simulation takes a great part in developing a PAD algorithm for two reasons: 1. when a PAD algorithm is developed before the launch, realistic sensor data are not available, and 2. reference attitude data are necessary for the performance verification of a PAD algorithm. A realistic attitude dynamics and sensor (IRU and star tracker) outputs simulation considering their physical characteristics are presented in this paper, which is planned to be used for a PAD algorithm development, test and performance verification.

  • The objective of this study was to evaluate the causal relationships among environmental belief, ambivalence, subjective norm, attitude and meat consumption behavior. A total of 318 questionnaires were completed. A structural equation model was employed to assess the causal effects of constructs. The results of the study demonstrated that the structural analysis results for the data also indicated excellent model fit. The effects of environmental belief, ambivalence, and subjective norm on attitude were statistically significant. The effects of environmental belief, subjective norm and attitude on meat consumption were statistically significant. The effects of attitude on intention were statistically significant. As had been expected, intention exerted a significant effect on meat consumption. Moreover, environmental belief and ambivalence exerted significant indirect effects on meat consumption through attitude. Subjective norm exerted a significant indirect effect on meat consumption through attitude and intention. Subjective norm also exerted a significant indirect effect on intention through attitude. In developing and testing conceptual models which integrate the relationship among behavioral belief, attitude variable, behavioral intention and meat consumption, this study may approach a deeper understanding of the complex relationship among meat consumption behavior-related variables. Greater understanding of the complex relationship among meat consumption behavior-related variables can improve the practical or managerial diagnosis of the problem and opportunities for different marketing strategies including meat production and meat product development and marketing communication.
