The purpose of this study is to develop a model of attitude toward reading. For that the concept and factors of reading attitude were examined and the preceding reading attitude models were critically studied to propose the new reading attitude model. The reading attitude model is consisted of three component named reading environment domain, reader domain and reading domain. The results of the development of a model of attitude toward reading are as follows. First, This study proposed a theoretical framework that can check and measure the reading attitude in various aspects by dividing reading attitudes into cognition, affect and intention factors. Second, It reinforced the logicality on the construct of reading attitude by dividing behavioral factor of reading attitude into the intention and the behavior. Third, This Model reflected the importance of book with text by specifying physical books and reading a book in the model. Fourth, this model theoretically proposes the potential for change of reading attitude and behavior by suggesting cognitive and affective schema from reading experience. Fifth, the developed reading attitude model helps to understand the form and process of reading attitude by presenting impact of reading environment and stimulation derived from reading environment on reader and reader's reading behavior and affective relation on feedback.
The purpose of this study was to find out the influence of Entrance Examinees' Eating Behavior on their health condition. The examinees for Chungbuk National university in 1992 were asked to fill out the questionnaire(The total number was 1054 ; 537 males, 517 females). The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, Crosstabs, Chi-square, t-test, one-way Anova, and Multiple Regression using SPSS/PC+ Program. The results are as follows. 1. Health condition due to an eating attitude: 1) As to health condition due to the food intake freguency, those who intaked fish or meat 3-5 days a week had the best heal th condition, but those who hardly intaked fish and meat or intaked them almost everyday had rather poor health condition. Those who intaked fried foods 1-2 days a week had the best health condition. The higher the freguency intaking such food or instant food was, the worse health condition was. 2) In view of health condition according to an eating attitude, it led to very good health condition to have breakfast & supper, to eat regularly, to select the nutritious foods, and to have a balanced diet. Overeating before sleeping and no meal or overeating before exam made their health very bad. Alcohol drinking & cigarrette smoking as favorite foods appeared significantly high in the boys. The more frequently they drinked alcohol and smoked cigarrette the worse their health condition was. Those who enjoyed milk, soya milk, and korean tea as favorite beverages had the better health condition than those who enjoyed coffee and soft drinks. 2. Influence of Eating Behavior on Health Condition. 1) The food intake freguency and the eating attitude influenced each other. The higher the score of food intake frequency was, the better the eating attitude appeared. 2) As a result of this study for eating behavior influencing on their health condition, the eating attitude influenced health condition, and the higher the eating attitude score was, the better heal th condition could be.
Purpose: To investigate factors that affect behaviors of reducing exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in breastfeeding mothers. Methods: Subjects were 166 breastfeeding mothers who were recruited from January 25 to April 15, 2018. The questionnaire consisted of items associated with behaviors of reducing exposure to EDCs, attitude to behaviors of reducing exposure, subject norms of behavior of reducing exposure, and perceived behavior control. Data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlations, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Factors influencing behaviors of reducing the exposure to EDCs were attitude toward behaviors of reducing exposure, perceived barrier, and period of lactation. The more positive the attitude toward behaviors of reducing exposure was, the lower the perceived barrier. The longer the feeding period, the higher the behaviors of reducing the exposure to EDCs. Conclusions: To enhance behaviors of reducing the exposure to EDCs, it is necessary to develop a positive educational program in breastfeeding department to improve attitude toward behaviors of reducing the exposure to EDCs, decrease perceived barrier, and increase the breastfeeding period.

This study examined the relationships among dementia knowledge, attitude, and preventive behavior of an urban-rural complex city. In this study, 483 subjects using welfare and health centers were selected from one urban-rural complex city. The data were collected using the questionnaires for dementia knowledge, attitude and preventive behavior. Data analysis was performed by descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA using SPSS 19 software. In both urban and rural areas, elderly more than 70 years of age, no spouse, less educated, and lower income had higher scores of dementia attitude. In addition, the dementia attitude scores were higher when they were thinking more of their bad health. In conclusion, there is a need to strengthen the training and programs for dementia's knowledge, attitudes and prevention activities by a spouse or family member in early elderly period.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of children's daily stress and employed mothers' nurturing attitude on children's problem behavior, as well as the mediating role of employed mothers' nurturing attitude. 160 children (aged 3-6, in city "D") and their mothers participated in this study. The SPSS 18.0 program was used to conduct a regression analysis to examine the correlation between the children's daily stress, their problem behavior and the employed mothers' nurturing attitude, depending on the gender of the children. The results were as follows : First, in the case of the boys, their aggression and attention have effects on their coercive attitude, and their anxiety and depression have effects of decreasing magnitude on their logical attitude, blaming / offensive stress and pride-hurt stress in that order. Secondly, in the case of the girls, their aggression has effects on their coercive attitude, and their attention has effects of decreasing magnitude on their anxiety / frustration stress and coercive logical attitude in that order. On the other hand, their anxiety / depression have effects of decreasing magnitude on their accused/offensive stress and coercive attitude in that order. Third, the employed mothers' nurturing attitude had mediating effects between the children's daily stress and their problem behavior. However, no such mediating effects were observed in the case of the boys. Therefore, the mothers tend to foster complementary and logical parenting, rather than coercive or negligent parenting. It is thought that children need to reduce their stress levels in everyday life (in order to?) reduce their problems.

Purpose: This study aims at analyzing the effects of school health education through lessons on health knowledge, health attitude and health behavior among middle school students. Methods: The data was collected by self-administered questionnaires from the selected experimental group (n=136) and control group (n=148) in Seoul. Among them, 118 in experimental group and 121 in control group were included in final analysis. Experimental group took the 25-hour health education lessons from March 2010 to February 2011. The statistical method of analysis for homogeneity test of general characteristics was used ${\chi}^2$-test and for the effects of school health education through lessons was used unpaired t-test by SPSS/WIN 18.0 Program. Results: After the 25-hour health education lessons, statistical significance was observed between the experimental group and the control group to health knowledge. But two groups did not reach statistical significance on health attitude and health behavior. Conclusion: This study indicates that the school health education through lessons improves students' health knowledge. However in order to improve students' health attitude and behavior, it is necessary conduct more long-term school health education. Hence for the effective school health education, it is recommended to continue a long-term school health education and to secure a health education only classroom, textbooks, various educational materials and teaching methods and assistants.
Background: Trust is a key component for the good relationship between patients and healthcare professionals but trust for community pharmacists has not been studied much. Objectives: This study aimed to measure public trust in community pharmacists and to investigate variables that affect trust level in South Korea. Methods: A total of 25 questions, including 13-items for three dimensions of trust (pharmacists' behavior/attitude, technical competence, communication skills) and 1-item for overall trust were developed. The survey was conducted online and the data from 416 respondents were analyzed with a t-test, an ANOVA and a multiple linear regression analysis. Results: The average scores (mean ± standard deviation) for the three dimensions of trust in community pharmacists were 3.47±1.05 (out of 5 points) for pharmacists' behavior/attitude, 3.67 ± 0.99 for technical competence, and 3.66±0.99 for communication skills. The average of the 13 items incorporating all parameters was 3.56±1.02 and the overall trust level was 7.16±1.62 (out of 10 points). The total sum of the 13 items differed significantly by age group (p=0.02) and frequency of pharmacy visits (p=0.04). Each dimension had an independent impact on the trust level, and pharmacists' behavior/attitude had the greatest impact on trust levels. Conclusions: This study showed that pharmacists' behavior/attitude had the most significant impact on the trust level. However, the level of trust in pharmacists' behavior/attitude is not yet sufficiently satisfactory, and further improvements are required to increase trust in community pharmacists.

In the past days, most of studies about users' behavior in online environments have been mainly focused on the adoption of website and internet shopping or shopping mall. But the generic model of website usage behavior has not been made and the leading theory of website usage behavior has not been existed. The purpose of this study consists of two parts: (1) to find the determinant variables of the website users' continuous using Intention in a certain website, (2) to examine the relative influences of the variables influencing the users' behavior in online environments. The framework of this study is based on the combination of some theories - Davis(1989)'s TAM, Fishbein(1975)'s TRA, Hoffman et al.(1997), Schneiderman(2000), Yoon(2002), Lee and Turban(2001), Sultan et al.(2002), Shankar et al.(2002a, 2002b), McKnight et al.(2002), Chen and Dhillon(2003), Heijden(2003) and so on. Major findings of this research are summarized as fellows: First, determinant of website continuous using intention was affected by 1) the-attitude and 2) the trust of the website except of perceived usefulness. Second, the website attitude was affected by the perceived usefulness, design, experience, reputation. But perceived ease of use did not affect the website attitude. Third, the website trust was affected by the perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, design, experience of website. But the reputation of website did not determine the trust of Website in this research model.

This study tried to develop the theoretical backgrounds, explaining consumers energy consumption behavior and analyzed its effects. In other words, this study investigated the factors influencing the amount of electronic energy consumption. In this study, we used 678 questionnaires which were selected a quota sampling by living area who were above 20 years old and married. Summary of results of this study follows. First, attitude for energy saving was positively related with female, high school graduated large size of family members, elderly, and middle-class consumers. In addition, consumers' search for energy saving were appeared passively in young consumers under 30 years old, and the family with the highest household income. Consumers' purchasing energy-efficient products was presented in large size of family members, and young consumers. Second, consumers' environmental oriented behavior, action-directed behavior, healthseeking behavior were significantly related with energy saving behavior, and active information search for energy saving, but not with purchasing energy-efficient products and consuming behavior of electrical energy. Third, the quantity of electric energy consumption was affected by the size of family members, the living size of house related with high energy demand, the attitude for energy saving, and searching information for energy-saving.
The purpose of this study is to analyse factors related to sex behavior and intention to premarital purity on the basis of theory of reasoned action. A structured Questionnaire was developed on the basis of Triandis model. Survey was conducted to 1662 unmarried person in high school students, college students, and workers. The results are as follows. For the factor of sexual behavior, male, older age had higher experience to sexual relationship, but for the factor of premarital purity, female and workers than student had higher consciousness of purity. Positive attitude to premarital purity, expectation toward preservation of purity, parental and social normative influence and facilitating factor such as experiences of sex education showed significant relationship to intention of premarital purity. Also multiple logistic regression showed that health behaviors such as smoking and drinking, sex and job were statistically significant factor for sex behavior. The result of this study suggest that educational program sex as well as good health behavior should developed and theory-based models in conducting health education research.
