Purpose: The aims of this study were to evaluate early breast cancer screening rate of occupational health nurses and to analyze factors affecting their behavior. Method: We reviewed and analyzed the structured questionnaires of III respondents from 230 participants in continuing education of occupational health nurses. Result: Breast self examination was performed in 72.1%, clinical breast examination was received in 30.6% and mammography was received in 40.5% significant factors affecting breast self examination were age and the age of menarche. significant factors affecting clinical breast examinations for breast cancers were age and the place of residence, and factors affecting mammography were age, monthly income, alcohol intake, the age of menarche, and attitude about early screening for breast cancers. Conclusion: Early breast cancer screening rate of occupational health nurses was higher than that of general population of women. But the rate of clinical breast examination and mammogaphy were lower of less than 50% of respondents. Therefore occupational health nurses who are responsible for health management of working women need more education for themselves to promote the motivation and to increase the rate of participation in early breast cancer screening.

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the effects of school-based education programmes to prevent unintentional injuries in 7~19 years old. Methods: To perform a systematic literature survey, the researchers searched three databases - MEDLINE (PubMed), EMBASE and THE COCHRANE LIBRARY - for literature relevant to 'safety accidents in school' (published up to October 2013). The term 'school-based unintentional injuries' was used to sort out studies on injuries. This study adopted a pretest-posttest comparative design and the participants were children and adolescents aged 7 to 19 years. Results: The search yielded 9,553 records, of which eight studies were included in the review. The eight studies examined the effect of school-based education programmes to prevent unintentional injuries. The research revealed that education programmes had a significant impact on knowledge improvement and behavior change. Although two studies of the total eight showed a difference in attitude scores between the experimental group and the control group, the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion: Despite the changes in education and public policy, trauma-related injuries continue to result in an unacceptably high morbidity and mortality, particularly among young people. More effective school health programs, policies and programmatic interventions are needed to reduce safety accidents and improve health among youth.

The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the rational decision-making process and perception differences of housing transactions in the market environment. It was designed through an analysis of the factors influencing housing sales based on the rational behavior theory model. Objective evidence was provided for the impact factors affecting the attitude towards housing sales, with the spouse and children being identified as significant influencers. Additionally, children and friends were found to have an impact on subjective norms related to housing sales, especially for unmarried individuals under 40 years of age and those with low income, who were found to be more influenced by their parents. It was also discovered that the influence of these factors varied based on age and income levels. Younger individuals tended to rely more on their parents or friends, while those with high incomes showed stronger willingness to purchase homes. The presence of beneficial infrastructure for children was found to directly influence the decision to purchase a home. The study also provided objective evidence that the decision to purchase a home is influenced not only by economic factors but also by continuous encouragement and information from those around the buyer. These findings demonstrate the importance of the influence of close acquaintances in the rational decision-making process of home buyers. However, this study only investigated a limited portion of the factors influencing housing sales, as the market is affected by a variety of financial and governmental policies. Therefore, future research should consider various complex factors simultaneously when analyzing the influence of housing sales.
This study investigated the effects of climate change project learning on elementary students' attitudes toward climate change and environmental literacy. Climate change project learning was conducted on 174 sixth-grade elementary school students in a metropolitan city (77 male, 97 female), after which their perceptions and attitudes toward climate change and environmental literacy were assessed. The climate change project learning had a positive effect on the students' perceptions and attitudes toward climate change, which was surmised because of the climate change content sharing and discussions during the project learning. The climate change project learning also had a positive effect on the students' environmental literacy, especially their environmental attitudes, values, and behavior; however, there were no statistically significant changes found for environmental sensitivity. This study highlights the educational effects and implications of environmentally focused climate change projectbased education for elementary school students.

Purpose: This research was aimed to explore the major subjects and research themes and to classify characteristics of the key words in the Journal of Korean Academic Society of Nursing Education 2007. Method: A total of 33 published papers during 2007 were analyzed with structured analysis forms. Result: Most of the research subjects were healthy people such as student nurses and RNs. The topics of education related research were categorized into 9 domains: educational methods, educational curriculum, study type & methods, knowledge level & contents, psychosocial variables related to knowledge & education, attitude, behavior, development & evaluation of educational programs, and effects of educational programs. The most common key words in this papers were concepts related to health risk factors and health promotion. Quantitative research was used about 70% overall, while experimental design was 18.2%. Conclusion: Most of the subjects were healthy people and the most common domain was health related concepts in the Journal of Korean Academic Society of Nursing Education. In addition, key words and topics were on nursing educational issues. It can be concluded that the Journal of Korean Academic Society of Nursing Education has published mainly education focused papers.
The purpose of this study is to show that the servicescape influences customers' attitudes and behavior in retail business environments. Based on the findings from the related studies, this study proposed a model which explores how customers' perceptions of sevicescape influence customers' cognitive, affective, and conative attitudes (i.e., brand image, customer satisfaction, and revisit intention) in franchise coffee shops. In order to test the proposed research framework, the data were collected in Daegu and two other cites located in Gyeongbuk province. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and a series of multiple regression analysis were utilized in the study. The findings showed that the servicescape of franchise coffee shops significantly affected customers' cognitive, affective, and conative attitudes. In particular, it is found that the affective attitude (i.e., customer satisfaction) was best explained by the servicecape among the three types of attitudes. Marketing implications are also discussed based on the findings.
Purpose: For this study an examination was done of relationships between intensive care unit (ICU) nurses' knowledge related to sedation and their clinical competencies in sedation practice. Methods: Ninety one ICU nurses were recruited from two tertiary hospitals in South Korea. A self-report questionnaire was used to examine the levels of knowledge related to sedation and nursing practice competence based on Ajzen's theory of planned behavior. Descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlations were performed using the IBM SPSS 21.0 Results: ICU nurses are more knowledgeable about general information on sedation rather than up-to-date information. Continuing education on sedation was related to difference in knowledge levels. However, the levels of knowledge were not related to competence in sedation practice. Instead, a positive attitude toward sedation practice was significantly related to the subjective norms; orders and goals, perceived behavioral control, practice of sedation, and intention to use. Conclusion: The results of this study provide fundamental information on levels of knowledge related to sedation practices of Korean ICU nurses. Continuing education should emphasize up-to-date information on sedation practice and need for positive attitudes which influence all other competencies towards sedation practices to achieve optical care of sedation in the ICU.
The purpose of this study is to grasp the relationship between the amount of physical activities at work perceived by workers and their health promotion behaviors. To achieve such a purpose. this survey was conducted on 476 Workers who work for 3 food product work-sites located in Keong-in area by means of questionnaire from June 15 to July 14 . 1998. Collected data were statistically analyzed by SPSS/WlN. The significant results were obtained as follows. 1. The average scores of the amount of physical activities at work and health promotion behavior were 3.18 and 2.84 respectively; the former was slightly higher than moderate score 2.5 and the latter was almost the same as it. It can be interpreted that workers perceive their physical activities at work are heavier than their daily activities, which seems to make their health promotion behaviors still inactivated. 2. The amount of physical activities at work, it was were greater revealed that the more activities workers do after work. the more they walk and the more exercises they do. It implies that the voluntary practice of good health habit at leisure can be greatly contributed to the activation of more productive activity at work. 3. The amount of health promotion behaviors was larger as workers do more physical activities at work and have lower PIBW(Percent Ideal Body Weight). It means that the voluntary practice of good health habit is closely related to the degree of obesity and their positive attitude toward their work. Average PIBW was 106.71; most of the workers are distributed within the standard range in their weight. So we can presume that most of them are not seriously conscious of weight maintenance in their daily lives. Therefore it is desirable that health promotion program for workers should be developed toward connecting their physical activities at work with those in their daily lives much more. Physical activities, health promotion behaviors
An educational application (App) called 'Children's Food Avatar' was developed in this study by using a food DB of nutrition and functionality from Rural Development Administration (RDA) as a smart-learning mobile device for elementary school students. This App was designed for the development of children's desirable dietary habits through an on-line activity of food choices for a meal from food DB of RDA provided as Green Water Mill guide. A customized avatar system was introduced as an element of fun and interactive animation for children which provides nutritional evaluation of selected foods by changing its appearance, facial look, and speech balloon, and consequently providing chances of correcting their food choices for balanced diet. In addition, nutrition information menu was included in the App to help children understand various nutrients, their function and healthy dietary life. When the App was applied to 54 elementary school students for a week in November, 2012, significant increases in the levels of knowledge, attitude and behavior in their diet were observed compared with those of the control group (p < 0.05, 0.01). Both elementary students and teachers showed high levels of satisfaction ranging from 4.30 to 4.89 for the App, therefore, it could be widely used for the dietary education for elementary school students as a smart-learning device.
