  • The theoretical synthesis of the isotactic and syndiotactic poly(methyl methacrylate) were carried out as a model for real polymerization reactions following the normal chain reaction processes by repeating the uniform localization of wave functions with inclusion of the interaction between the end group of the cluster and an attaching molecule by the elongation method, and then, the calculated value was compared with the usual PM$_3$ calculation. The results revealed that a reaction of cluster with monomer molecules has made it possible to calculate the electronic structure and total energy of polymer with nearly infinite length and a matrix of constant dimension. The isotactic poly(methyl methacrylate) is more stable than syndiotactic one. The same tendency have been found between the experimentally measured properties and a calculated total energy to explain the chain motion in isotatic and syndiotactic poly(methyl methacrylate).

  • This study relates to acquiring biological signal without attaching directly to the user using UWB(Ultra Wide Band) radar. The collected information is the respiratory rate, heart rate, and the degree of movement during sleep, and this information is used to measure the sleep state. A breathing measurement algorithm and a sleep state detection algorithm were developed to graph the measured data. Information about the sleep state will be used as a personalized diagnosis by connecting with the medical institution and contribute to the prevention of sleep related diseases. In addition, biological signal will be linked to various sensors in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, leading to smart healthcare, which will make human life more enriching.

  • In a railway vehicle, corrugated steel panel is widely used for the floor panel because of its high bending stiffness and light weight. However, this panel shows lower sound insulation performance than that of the plate with the same weight. Especially, in a particular frequency band, transmission loss (TL) rapidly decreases and it results in the deterioration of TL of the overall floor panel. This study identifies that the remarkable drop in TL is caused from the local resonance of the periodic corrugated structure. This study shows that the frequency band of the TL drop can be controlled by the proper design of the corrugated structure. In addition, improvement effect of TL by attaching foam and glass wool is estimated by experiment. The purpose of the study is to provide the practical information for the improvement of the sound insulation performance of the corrugated steel.

  • In this study, the geometric model of 11 factorization formulas presented in the 2015 revised national curriculum was constructed and the necessary mathematical conditions were derived in the process. As a result of the study, all of the 11 factorization formulas are geometrically modeled and 12 conditions are derived in the process. However, the basic method of directly cutting and attaching a given shape was limited to not being able to make a rectangle or rectangular parallelepiped. Therefore, the problem was solved by changing the perspective and focusing on whether rectangle or rectangular parallelepiped with the same area or volume could be constructed.

  • Recently, studies that interact with human and things through motion recognition are increasing due to the expansion of IoT(Internet of Things). This paper proposed the system that recognizes the user's logical activity in home environment by attaching some sensors to various objects. We employ Arduino sensors and appreciate the logical activity by using the physical activitymodel that we processed in the previous researches. In this System, we can cognize the activities such as watching TV, listening music, talking, eating, cooking, sleeping and using computer. After we produce experimental data through setting virtual scenario, then the average result of recognition rate was 95% but depending on experiment sensor situation and physical activity errors the consequence could be changed. To provide the recognized results to user, we visualized diverse graphs.

  • The many cities are changing in the city form where the person and nature are mixed. Namely, the government invests many expense in tree field of distance space for the change in the green city. In this paper, we design and implement a tree growth management system using PDA built in 13.56MHz RFID reader and CBD(Component Based Development) for ubiquitous computing environments. Our system provides history management to increase business efficiency for location coordinate of tree and history information of tree which using RFID, the RFlD tag is attaching the new tree and that is inputting GPS location information in PDA and provides tree information of tree by location coordinate to history management. Finally, we show from a performance analysis that our system achieves about 85% average tree read rate of RFID under test scenario environments.

  • The purpose of this study is to improve heat transfer by attaching rectangular fins to tube. Experiments were carried out under the following conditions - Aspect ratio$(W_f/R_f)$ is 0.7, 1.2 and 1.8. Temperature conversion between high and low positions of water in the thermal storage appeared because maximum density point of water is about $4^{\circ}C$ and inlet direction of working fluid influenced conductive heat transfer Compared with the unfinned tube(bare tube), the rectangular tube increased the ice thermal storage energy and the ice thermal storage energy was increased as aspect ratio was increased.

  • On this paper, piezoelectric transducer was studied through direct piezoelectric effect. Circular unimorph type piezoelectric transducer is fabricated by attaching circular type PZT ceramic to circular plate of brass. The fabricated transducer was simulated and analyzed by using FEM program, ANSYS. Output characteristics were measured by applying diverse frequencies, including resonance frequency, of vibrator to transducer, and then the results were compared with ANSYS results. In addition, each characteristic was measured at two constraint conditions to obtain higher efficiency.

  • This paper is concerned with the eddy current damper which can be used to enhance the damping of the host structure. The operating principle of the eddy current damper is first explained in detail. The dynamic interaction between the magnets and the copper plate produces eddy current thus resulting in the damping force. By attaching the eddy current damper to the host structure, the damping of the total structure can be increased so that vibrations can be suppressed. The advantage of the eddy current damper is that it doesn't require any electronic devices and power supply. The effect of the eddy current damper on the global dynamic characteristics of the structure is investigated by considering the cantilever with the eddy current damper. Experimental results show that the eddy current damper is an effective device for vibration suppression.

  • This paper presents the concepts of ubiquitous computing technology to construct a ubiquitous learning environment that enables learning to take place anywhere at any time. This ubiquitous learning environment is described as an environment that supports students' learning using digital media in geographically distributed environments. The u-learning model is a web-based e-learning system that could enable learners to acquire knowledge and skills through interaction between them and the ubiquitous learning environment. Students are allowed to be in an environment of their interest. The communication between devices and the embedded computers in the environment allows learner to learn while they are moving, hence, attaching them to their learning environment.
