Objectives : This article aims to find how effective the art therapy is on the improvement of the self expression and the interpersonal relations with others, as medium for verbal communication of schizophrenic patients. Methods : The subject of this study was one schizophrenic patient who had been treated with drugs for five years in W university hospital, as well as counseled by an art therapy oo counsel office in J city. The art therapy had been performed the total 25 sessions, fifty minute per session, one session per week, from November 28 in 2008 to April 27 in 2009. The test was by HTP. Results : The results of this study are as follows: First, in the pretest of HTP, the subject showed a little lethargy, painting very simple house-shaped figures and too simple rectangular figures corresponding to those painted by 4 or 5-year-old children. In the post-test, however, the structures of houses were described concretely and three-dimensionally, and the descriptions of people were changed into concrete figure, by which we could see the improvement effect on the self expression and the interpersonal relations. Second, in the earlier stage, there was little verbal self expression, and little self respect, staring into space and showing passive attitude without positive assertion and expression. In the later stage, however, there were positive assertion and expression, even showing sense of humor. Lastly, in the earlier stage, there were few interpersonal relations. In the later stage, however, eye contacts and the interpersonal relations were increased during conversation and in the art work process, respectively. Conclusions : These results suggest that the art therapy can be effective on improvement of the self expression and the interpersonal relations with others, as medium for verbal communication of schizophrenic patients.

Traditional herbal medicine is widely used among the Korean people, and other eastern Asian countries employ similar therapies as well. In recent years, due to increasing interest in herbal medicines, many researches have been made on the toxicity and side effects of herbal medications. Through private and public media, there have been many opinions suggesting taking herbal medicines is very harmful, especially on the liver and kidney functions. This assertion has been mainly presented by the doctors that practice western medicine, But this assertion is never based on adequate knowledge of herbal medicine. This study aims to provide the evidences that taking herbal medicines is safe on the renal functions. Four frequently used herbal medications(Sipjeondaebotang, Bojungigitang, Ojeoksan, and Yukmijihwangtang) were used to test the toxicity of herbal medicine oh the lab animal model(SD-Rat). There is no significant difference in body weight and kidney weight after herbal medication for 1 month. In all experimental groups, no abnormal findings were observed in histological study, and lab renal function index(BUN, creatinine, uric acid). These results say that four herbal multi-used-medicines, when medicated, is safe from the renal toxicity in lab animal model.

Android apps suffer from intent vulnerabilities in that they abnormally stop execution when Android components such as, activity, service, and broadcast receiver, take malformed intents. This paper proposes a method to prevent intent vulnerabilities by allowing programmers to write a specification on intents that a component expects to have, and by checking intents against the specification in runtime. By declaring intent specifications, we can solve the problem that one may miss writing conditional statements, which check the validity of intents, or one may mix those statements with another regular code, so making it difficult to maintain them. We perform an experiment by applying the proposed method to 7 Android apps, and confirm that many of abnormal termination of the apps because of malformed intents can be avoided by the intent specification based runtime assertion.

ConceptNet is a common sense knowledge base which is formed in a semantic graph whose nodes represent concepts and edges show relationships between concepts. As it is difficult to make knowledge base integrity, a knowledge base often suffers from incompleteness problem. Therefore the quality of reasoning performed over such knowledge bases is sometimes unreliable. This work presents neural tensor networks which can alleviate the problem of knowledge bases incompleteness by reasoning new assertions and adding them into ConceptNet. The neural tensor networks are trained with a collection of assertions extracted from ConceptNet. The input of the networks is two concepts, and the output is the confidence score, telling how possible the connection between two concepts is under a specified relationship. The neural tensor networks can expand the usefulness of ConceptNet by increasing the degree of nodes. The accuracy of the neural tensor networks is 87.7% on testing data set. Also the neural tensor networks can predict a new assertion which does not exist in ConceptNet with an accuracy 85.01%.

The purpose of this paper is to design Conformance Test Suite for BSP(Biometric Service Provider) based on BioAPI(Biometric Application Programming Interface) v2.0. The proposed BioAPI Conformance Test Suite enables users to test BSP with framework independently. A test scheduling tool has been embodied to use Test Assertion in the form of XML. In order to demonstrate the performance of the Conformance Test Suite, the experiment was performed by using both verification and identification BSPs. As the results of this experiment, we were able to determinate whether BSPs based on BioAPI v2.0 satisfied standard requirements or not.

Turbo codes are extensively used in current communications standards and have a promising outlook for future generations. The advantages of software defined radio, especially dynamic reconfiguration, make it very attractive in this multi-standard scenario. However, the complex and power consuming implementation of the maximum a posteriori (MAP) algorithm, employed by turbo decoders, sets hurdles to this goal. This work introduces an ASIP architecture for the MAP algorithm, based on a dual-clustered VLIW processor. It displays the good performance of application specific designs along with the versatility of processors, which makes it compliant with leading edge standards. The machine deals with multi-operand instructions in an innovative way, the fetching and assertion of data is serialized and the addressing is automatized and transparent for the programmer. The performance-area trade-off of the proposed architecture achieves a throughput of 8 cycles per symbol with very low power dissipation.

To study product properties of digital spaces, we strongly need to formulate meaningful adjacency relations on digital products. Thus the paper [7] firstly developed a normal adjacency relation on a digital product which can play an important role in studying the multiplicative property of a digital fundamental group, and product properties of digital coverings and digitally continuous maps. The present paper mainly surveys the normal adjacency relation on a digital product, improves the assertion of Boxer and Karaca in the paper [4] and restates Theorem 6.4 of the paper [19].

Over the past three decades, the impact of IT investments on firm performance has been the subject Q{active research. Although many studies have shown positive and significant benefits derived from IT investment, the findings of almost all these studies are based on data collected in developed countries. This study tries to investigate the effects of IT investment on firm financial performance in the Chinese electronics industry, a typical developing country, and compare it with the United States. Findings show that there is a positive impact of IT investment on firm performance in China. Moreover, the impact in China is not different from what occurred in the United States in the direction and the size against the assertion of previous studies and expectation.

Biometrics is one of promising future technologies within personal identification area, and its application stretches to other variety industry site. Therefore it is necessary to test whether these products are implemented in conformance withe the BioAPI international standard specification. This paper presents the specific construction and application examples of BioAPI v2.0 conformance test suite according to the method described in ISO/IEC 24709. The problems and experience that have been discovered in the construction are described. Three BSP products claiming conformance to BioAPI was tested by proposed the test methodology and tools.

In a service business, it is difficult to cope with all your customers' needs. They come and go with various wants and when it comes to their own good there are complaining. Such variances in the service business interfere the operation resulting in inefficiency. To come against all those fluctuate wants, Frei is suggesting a new way how to cope with this customer variability in the service business: Low-Cost accommodation and uncompromised reduction. However, his assertion that these solutions can reduce cost and enhance service quality at the same time is empirically not proved. Thus, the following research will be dedicated in the empirical proof whether the solutions mentioned above can enhance service quality while reducing cost by pursuing efficiency in the service business.
