  • 지금까지 인간이나 다른 생물체의 전체 유전체 염기서열을 밝혀내는 작업은 크게 세가지 방법으로 진행되었다. Clone-by-clone approach, sequence tagged connector approach, random shotgun approach[1]가 그것인데 마지막의 random shotgun approach는 fragment assembly problem을 비롯한 여러 가지 전산학적인 문제들을 수반한다. 미생물체의 전체 염기서열을 random shotgun approach를 이용하여 밝혀낼 때 몇 가지 전산학적인 문제가 테크닉이 필요하며 그 중에서도 서열간의 forward, reverse의 mating 정보를 이용하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문은 이러한 mating 작업을 한 눈에 볼 수 있게 하는 소프트웨어 페키지 “Mater”에 대해 소개하고자 하며 그 의미에 대해 논하고자 한다.

  • In this study, assembling procedure of TRU fuel assembly was reviewed and divided into rod bundle assembling, mating preassemblies and welding, and inspection and non-destructive examination. Based on this assumption, the design criteria of a remote assembler for TRU fuel assembly of PGSFR is defined and predictable technical issues are proposed.

  • 폰 카메라용 렌즈모듈을 구성하는 각 단렌즈의 방향성을 고려한 자동 조합시스템을 개발하였다. 먼저 유동해석을 통하여 렌즈모듈의 조합성 도출 영향인자인 복굴절과 사출성형 조건의 상관성 및 조립 방향성에 따른 수율의 관계를 조사 하였다. 하나의 조립모듈에서 렌즈와 스페이서의 한 세트를 조립하도록 설계하여 생산성 향상 및 장비크기를 최소화하여 기존 장비의 약 25 %정도로 축소가 가능하였다. 또한, 기구적인 정렬기구인 센터링 기구 및 배럴가이드 적용하여 추가적인 비전시스템 없이 사이클 타임의 단축이 가능하였다. 개발한 시스템은 모듈러 설계를 통하여 픽커 및 가이드 등 일부 부품만의 교체로 생산모듈 변경에 대응 가능하도록 하여 급변하는 시장변화 및 소량생산에도 적용 가능하도록 제작되었다.

마찰용접을 이용한 고강도 쇼크업소버 베이스 어셈블리의 제조 기술 개발 (Development of a High Strength Manufacturing Technology for the Shock Absorber Base Assembly Using Friction Welding)

  • The shock absorber base assembly is one of the parts in the shock absorber equipment that controls the vehicle movement. It absorbs the shock and vibration to guarantee riding stability and comfort. It demands strength, reliability and strict airtightness of the welded section because the shock absorber base assembly is a container which resists pressure and needs durability by being filled with gas and oil. However, the current engineering needs a lot of production time, has a high cost and shows a low production rate. These problem due to the eight production processes, four of which are spot welding, reinforcement welding like metal active welding (MAG), prior process of the base assembly cap and tube for precision and pressing. We will analyze the manufacturing processes of the base assembly and suggest an improved manufacturing method that uses frictional welding. The results will show that the new method of the frictional welding is better than the previous welding technique. Through the use of this concept of frictional welding, the welding conjunction will be strengthened, measurements will be more precise, and the cost and the number of processes will be reduced.

주파수 응답해석을 이용한 자동차용 에어컨 라인 어셈블리의 진동전달 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Vibration Transmission Property of Automotive Air Conditioning Assembly by Frequency Response Analysis)

  • An automotive air conditioning assembly consists of a condenser, a compressor and an evaporator. These major components are connected with rubber hoses and aluminum pipes. Once mounted on the automotive air conditioning assembly, it is exposed to a serious vibration environment for a long time. In some cases, there are vibration cracking on the assembly. In order to solve this vibration problem, several real vibration tests are performed on the assembly of which the lay-out was optimized, in spite of sample production cost and making time. In this study, a frequency response analysis, which is a kind of finite element method of the vibration, was performed to know the characteristic of the vibration transmission on the assembly lay-out. The analysis result indicated the damping performance, which is satisfied with the vibration standard of car maker, in rubber hoses and the whole assembly.

  • The goal of crashworthiness is an optimized vehicle structure that can absorb the crash energy by controlled vehicle deformations while maintaining adequate space so that the residual crash energy can be managed by the restraint systems to minimize crash loads transfer to the vehicle occupants. Front side assembly is one of the most important energy absorbing components in relating to the crashworthiness design of vehicle. The structure and shape of the front side assemblies are different depending on auto-makers and size of vehicles. Thus, it is not easy to grab an insight on designer's intention when you glance at a new front side member without experiences. In this paper, we have performed the explicit nonlinear dynamic finite element analysis on the front side assembly of a passenger car to investigate the effect of thickness distribution of the front side assembly on the collapse shape, which is important in the aspect of controlling deformation to maintain adequate space, from the viewpoint of reverse engineering. To do this, we have performed crash FE analysis for the assembly by varying the thickness distribution of the assembly.

  • This paper consists of a study in post-assembly magnetization of LSPM (Line Start Permanent Magnet Motor). Recently, LSPM is noted as an alternative to the induction motor because it offers a very high efficiency and unity power factor, And it is necessary for permanent magnets to be magnetized by means of post-assembly magnetization in LSPMS because of the manufacturing cost involved. The manufacturing process is also simpler in post-assembly magnetization than in pre-assembly magnetization. Generally, permanent magnet motors are magnetized by their own stator coil or by magnetizing fixtures. However, the permanent magnet in a LSPM is scarcely magnetized by using them because of the eddy current of the rotor bar. Hence, it is necessary to design a magnetizing fixture that overcomes this problem. In this paper, the author analyses the post-assembly magnetization of a LSPM and proposes a method for designing the magnetizing fixture. The method that the author proposes is to make the number of coil turns greater in order to reduce the effect of the eddy current of the rotor bars.

  • In general industrial rotating machinery is operated under 3,600 rpm as rotating speed and designed to have critical speed that is above operating speed. So, there was no problem to operate rotating machine under critical speed. But nowadays, they should be operated more than the frist critical speed as usual with the trend of high speed, large scale and hish precision in industries. In case of the large rotor assembly as the trend of large scale, using fitting method of disk or cylinder on shaft is rising for the convenience of assembly and cutting down of manufacturing cost. The shrink fitting is used to assemble lamination part on shaft for manufacturing of rotor of motor or generator in many cases and also is widely used for other machinery. In rotating system, which is compose of rotor and bearing, the critical speed is determined from inertia and stiffness for the rotor and bearings. In case of fitting assembly, analysis and design of the rotor is not easy because the rotor stiffness is determined depend on a lot of factors such as shaft material/dimension, disk material/dimension and assembled interference etc. Therefore designer who makes a plan for hish-speed rotating machine should design that the critical speed is located out of operating range, as dangerous factors exist in it. In order to appropriate design, an accurate estimation of stiffness and damping is very important. The stiffness variation depend on fitting interference is a factor that changes critical speed and if it's possible to estimate it, that Is very useful to design rotor-bearing system. In this paper, the natural frequency variation of the rotor depends on fitting interference between basic shaft and cylinder is examined by experimentation. From the result, their correlation is evaluated quantitatively using numerical analysis that is introduced equivalent diameter end the calculation criteria is presented for designer who design fitting assembly to apply with ease for determination of appropriate interference.

  • For the development of an all composite unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), manufacturing consideration in design phase, works for composite parts fabrication, subassembly and final assembly are summarized. In design phase, to maximize the advantage of composite material, manufacturing processes such as cocuring, cobonding and secondary bonding are introduced. For the curing of designed parts, composite tools are designed and manufactured. Assembly jigs are designed to satisfy dimensional tolerance of the structure. Inspection criteria are established and applied to the manufacturing. Technical data about inspection items and methods are summarized as manufacturing specifications for the mass production of the UAV structure.

  • Design requirements for the nuclear fuel assembly grid of the pressurized water reactor are reviewed from the mechanical/structural point of view. And mechanical/structural tests and numerical analyses on the various spacer grid candidates that has been uniquely designed by KAERI are carried out to find out their mechanical/structural performance. As a result, the results from the numerical analyses are good agreements with test results.
