This paper reflects on the relationship between postcolonial criticism (PC) and Southeast Asian Studies. The emphasis is on the apparent premature retreat from PC as well as its unfulfilled promises and persistent pitfalls. I argue that it is premature to abandon PC because it remains relevant, even essential, in the context of the much ballyhooed age of "knowledge economy" or "information society." There is a need to take another look at its promises and to work towards fulfilling them, but at the same time be conscious of its persistent problems.

Objective : To characterize Five Woons of Asian women who live at Los Angeles area in U.S.A Methods : A set of physical tests and diagnostic questions were given to 242 Asian female subjects who were treated for their symptoms at a clinic of Asian medicine near Los Angeles in USA. The participants were given their constitutions, one of the Five Woons based on their birthdays. The physical tests included a body composition via Inbody 4.0 and an autonomic bioelectric response record via ABR2000. The oneway analysis of variance was applied to compare the means of the Five Woons and the physical test results. The Cross tabulation analysis was also applied to look for the effectiveness of Five Woons on the symptoms. Results : 1. In the body composition items, the LSD(least significant difference) showed that there were significant differences between the Soil Woon and the other Four Woons which are Water, Metal, Fire and Wood Woons in weight, fat, body fat %, BMI (p<0.2). 2. Based on the LSD, significant differences were observed among the Five Woons in R5, R6 and R7(p<0.2). 3. The cross tabulation analysis showed the significant effectiveness of the Five Woons on the five symptoms including dizziness, hot and cold, lower body edema, fatigue and to take a medication for high blood pressure out of 24 diagnostic questions (p<0.2). Conclusions : Further clinical research is necessary to develop a more delicate questionnaire and look for ways of characterizing the Five Woons. The diagnosis and corresponding treatment based on the Five Woons should be further studied in view of the Oriental medicine.

Recently Southeast Asia has developed, so the world concerns about these regions. Ethnic fashion in 90's is mostly the influence of these regions' folk costume. The purpose of this study is to review aes-thetic aspects of folk costume in Southeast Asia, to investigate the influence on modern fashion and to predict the possibility of Asia fashion's adaption to modern fashion and to help the cre-ation of fashion design. First of all, the folk costume in Southeast Asia is classified drapery style and sarong style. These non-west clothing appeal to modern fashion as the oriental tranditional beauty. Ethnic fashion appeared in 1990's is attempted to be more complex and variable than the pre-vious ethnic fashion. Asian ethnic fashion influenced from folk costume of Southeast Asia is-wholly or party-the style, color, motif from each country's folk costume. And each country's unique art became the motive of the creative design. Specially, Aosai and Quan in Vietnam and sar-ong style in most Southeast Asia are important motives expressing minority's nostalgia. These are expressed in variable ways. Which are harmonized with latest other fashion trend : retro style and naturalism, Layered look, hippie look, unfinished sewing technic and manual technic are used one image matched the folk costume of Southeast Asia which is natural. Another characterstic in Asian ethnic fashion is a multi-ethnic. This harmonizes the different culture between the Orient and the West beyond the age and culture, and combines each folk costume. It is involved that the fashion can develop indivisual country's costumes mixed with her own unique characteristics and the fashion break the traditional concept and disagree with a certain coordinate rule and it indicates that the fashion shows various style, mood, volume and room as well as space. Like this recent Asian ethnic fashion comes to us in a strange favor. The people who are tired of traditional western civilization's outcome will receive a great tastes from the Asian ethnic fashion.

Objective: To relate with significant relationship between symptoms and Five Zhang(五臟)symptoms in Five Woon Constitutions and to characterize Five Woons of Asian women who live at Los Angeles area in U.S.A. Methods: 19 diagnostic questions were given to 286 Asian females subjects who were treated for their symptoms at an Asian medical clinic near Los Angeles in USA. The participants were given their constitutions, one of the Five Woons based on their birthdays. The Cross tabulation analysis was also applied to look for the effectiveness of Five Woons on the symptoms. Results: 1. The cross tabulation analysis showed the significant effectiveness of the Five Woons on the five symptoms including dizziness, hot and cold, lower body edema and face fever(p<0.1). 2. The dizziness and the hot and cold were related with Liver diseases, the lower body edema was related with Kidney diseases and the face fever was related to Heart diseases. Conclusions: This study can explain the relationship between the significant symptoms of Five Woons and Five Zhang(五臟)symptoms with reference which is the book by Yoon, ChoChang who lived 1700 years. Further clinical research is necessary to develop more delicate questionnaires and look for ways of characterizing the Five Woons. The diagnosis and corresponding treatment based on the Five Woons should be further studied in view of the Asian medicine.

This paper examines the performances of economics for Southeast Asian studies and finds the relationship between economics and Southeast Asian studies in Korea. Based on this we try to find the direction and the way how economics contributes to Southeast Asian studies. First of all, we look into several journals on area studies, such as Review of Southeast Asia, and find out that economics researches on Southeast Asia are much fewer than expected. This shows that Korean economists are not much interested in the issue of Southeast Asia and reflects the academic differences as discipline in economics and interdisciplinary Southeast Asian studies. However, we could find the common area that economics and Southeast Asian studies can share. Also, we suggest some points that economics contributes to development of Southeast Asian studies toward a independent academic discipline. It includes the theory and methodology of international, and development economics. The rapid development of information and communication technology and the economic integration by globalization needs new and modified economic theory and methodology for research on Southeast Asia. Adopting the objective and statistical methodology of economics could level up Southeast Asian studies as social science. Also, Southeast Asian studies need to recruit more actively economics research topics and methodology. Economics could attribute to the development of Korean Southeast Asian studies.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the street fashion, which is influenced by the youth culture in 1960s. Youth culture is the youth subculture which appeared multiform in the 1960s. It tried to create a new culture by subverting the ruling class culture with their combative life style and peculiar appearance which are distinguished from mother culture. Youth cultures as youth subculture are symbolically expressed in their style which had strong characteristics of sub-fashion and anti-fashion, and which are different from mother fashion in shape. Therefore youth subculture fashion had an effect on street fashion in the 60s. The influence that the youth culture fashion had had on the street fashion is summarized as follows: Beats fashion was intelligency look on black dress, black polo-neck shirts, black trousers, black glasses and heavy black eyeliner. Mods fashion was neat style on Edwardian suit with narrow trousers, pointer-toeshoes and smooth croped hair. Folkis fashion was ethnic look, middle east asian look, peasant look, Indian style, south america look, gypsy style, natural materials, natural dying, tie-dye, beads and hand made ornaments. Rockers fashion was violence appearance categorized 'blue collar' on black leather jacket decorated with metal studs and hand-painted insignia, blue jeans and boots for motor bike. Swinging London & the Psychedelics fashion was blend mods look with pschedelic color and motive pattern. Hippie fashion was intermix pschedelic and natural or ethnic style. It was appear to be a meaningless, unpredictable assortment of diverse items and style. Faded and tattered jeans, army jackets, vintage hat, beads, embroidered headband, white sheets, diverse theatrical costumes, sandals or bare feet, granny dress, peasant blouse, blanket cape, tie-dye T-shirts and long hair. Greasers fashion was adorned black leather jacket with chains, fringing, badges, insignia and sleeves had been crudely ripped off. They came to be known wore jeans so soaked with oil. Skinheads fashion was aggressive working class identity with donkey jacket, jeans rolled up, collarless union shirts, heavy boots, braces and hair cropped short.

The paper examines, in the light of current historiography, the recent trends in the application and applicability of the World Historical studies on the Indian Ocean scenario. Calling for the combination of the breadth of the World Historical studies with the analysis of a historical scenario in its specific spatio-temporal context-instead of a synchronic approach-the present study takes a close look at commerce and politics in the western Indian Ocean in the light of an early 14th century Latin Crusade tract, How to Defeat the Saracens by William of Adam (Guillelmus Ade, Tractatus quomodo Sarraceni sunt expugnandi), a Dominican friar. The text offers remarkable insights into the interlocking of the Indian Ocean and the South Asian subcontinent with the Mamluk Sultanate, the Ilkhanid realm and the Crusades. The paper argues for what is now termed as braided and connected histories.

Purpose - In recent years, the bilateral political relationship between Vietnam and India was upgraded to strategic and comprehensive partnership. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to analyze current relations and prospects of the Vietnam-India trade. Research design, data and methodology - The data was mainly based on World Integrated Trade Solution (WITS) and Foreign Investment Agency of Vietnam Ministry of Planning and Investment (FIA) from 2010-2018. The relationship of the two countries has showed growth in all sectors, including trade cooperation. This paper focused on assessing the current relations of trade cooperation of the two countries and then andlyzed the prospects of trade cooperation in the next period. Result - The Indian Government's strategy shifted from "Look East" policy to "Look East" action by the end of 2015. Vietnam is a partner and a pillar of India's Look East policy (Muni, 2011). The governments of both countries should further strengthen exchanges and trade connections in order to provide cooperation opportunities for investors and businesses of the two countries. Conclusion - The paper discusses and gives an overview of the current status of the trade relations of Vietnam and India as well as lucidating the opportunities and challenges for two countries in the future.

Purpose - Purpose of paper is to clarify this PPP((Public Private Partnerships)'s essence and advantages as well as disadvantages, and then it will take it out some conclusions and implication together. To do so, PPP should be examined carefully and then landlord port will be investigated in view of PPP, then, it will give some implications whether or not PPP is successful to apply more port in concern. Research Design, data, and methodology - The methodology that I take is to look into both PPPs and then to look intp landlord port in view of PPP. By doing so, it can be more understandable to PPP in port industry. Results - It can be found that landlord port system is more valuable and applicable instrument to adapt for port competitiveness and productivity, which leads to efficient port management. Conclusions - Landlord port system is an alternative instrument to be apply to port management in terms of PPP, and it has been justified that many worldclass port has taken this landlord port management system.

We introduce the statistical system of the Commonwelth Independence State(CIS) countries located in the Central Asia. At present, the level of the national statistics production system of Korean National Statistical Office(NSO) is very high and locate on just behind Japan among all asian countries, and they are also trying to reach the statistics quality level upto the advanced developed countries in the world. To have the optimal Statistics production processing, we must understand the methodologies parts as well as the aspect of the macro statistics that can be applied to the country#s economic plan. Like the history is repeated, it is valuable to look at the development history of statistical system of other countries one century ago. We study the relationship among CIS countries along with the history of Russian statistics development. It will be helpful to look and understand the statistical system of CIS countries including Russia to use their statistics for international comparison study.
