The purpose of this study is to investigate the utilization of major learning tools among radiology science students and assess the accuracy of a conversational artificial intelligence service program, specifically a chatbot, in the context of the national radiologic technologist licensing exam. The survey revealed that 84.3% of radiology science students actively utilize electronic devices during their learning process. In addition, 104 out of 140 respondents said they use search engines as a top priority for efficient data collection while studying. When asked about their awareness of chatbots, 80% of participants responded affirmatively, and 22.9% reported having used chatbots for academic purposes at least once. From 2018 to 2022, exam questions from the first and second periods were presented to the chatbot for answers. The results showed that ChatGPT's accuracy in answering first period questions increased from 48.28% to 60%, while for second period questions, it increased from 50% to 62.22%. Bing's accuracy in answering first period questions improved from 55% to 64.55%, and for second period questions, it increased from 48% to 52.22%. The study confirmed the general trend of radiology science students utilizing electronic devices for learning and obtaining information through the internet. However, conversational artificial intelligence service programs in the field of radiation science face challenges related to accuracy and reliability, and providing perfect solutions remains difficult, highlighting the need for continuous development and improvement.

Virtual humans are implemented with dedicated modeling tools like Unity 3D Engine in virtual space (virtual reality, mixed reality, metaverse, etc.). Various human modeling tools have been introduced to implement virtual human-like appearance, voice, expression, and behavior similar to real people, and virtual humans implemented via these tools can communicate with users to some extent. However, most of the virtual humans so far have stayed unimodal using only text or speech. As AI technologies advance, the outdated machine-centered dialogue system is now changing to a human-centered, natural multi-modal system. By using several pre-trained networks, we implemented an emotion-based multi-modal dialogue system, which generates human-like utterances and displays appropriate facial expressions in real-time.

We This study aimed to quantitatively analyze the theme of 'libertinage' and the associated issues of reason and emotion in 『Dangerous Liaisons』, a novel considered a masterpiece of libertine literature and an epistolary novel of the 18th century, using digital analysis tools. First, based on the frequency analysis of word usage using Voyant and LIWC 22, we confirmed that libertinage is manifested with keywords such as 'love' and 'time'. With Voyant's 'Contexts' feature, it was found that the letters sent by Valmont to Madame de Tourvel and those sent by Madame de Merteuil both have 'love' as the central theme. However, emotional vocabulary was higher in the former, whereas strategic vocabulary was more prevalent in the latter. Additionally, it was observed that the most frequently used word in the letters sent by Madame de Merteuil is 'time', with a higher frequency than 'love'. Thirdly, using LIWC 22, we measured the analytical thinking and emotional tone of the letters exchanged by the main characters, and analyzed how these values changed according to the chapters. Through these analyses, we confirmed that this novel, alongside Rousseau's "New Eloise," anticipates romanticism by embracing the theme of 'emotion,' which was rejected by 18th-century Enlightenment ideals.

A series of revolutionary industrial changes took place from the 18th century of the First Industrial Revolution. The fourth industrial revolution is a new industrial revolution in which intelligence and information unite. Social, cultural, economic and educational systems are expected to emerge within the category of access and experience. In the course of intelligent mechanization, manpower and machinery need to be commandeered. Tools should be left to the machine and humans should look at essential issues. In the 4th Industrial Revolution, the paradigm of education should fundamentally change. Instead of routine technologies based on memorization, one should learn how to access and utilize. It needs to focus on areas of debate, cooperation, communication, sensibility, and artistry that robots and artificial intelligence can not afford. The fourth industrial revolution is the fusion of human beings and technology, the humanities and the technology.

With the introduction of generative artificial intelligence(AI) tools such as OpenAI's Sora into the global film industry, including Hollywood, there has been a simultaneous emergence of innovations in film production as well as various crises. These changes are spreading throughout the entire film production process, including scriptwriting, casting, editing, and acting. This study analyzes the impact of AI on the film industry, particularly Hollywood, and explores how this technology might bring about changes in Korean cinema. AI technologies applied in the film industry offer benefits such as reducing production time and costs. However, they also pose threats to many filmmakers and actors who rely on the traditional production methods, leading to ethical and legal issues. In Hollywood blockbuster films, AI technology is used to create realistic visual effects, analyze scripts, and suggest optimal shooting angles. While these applications improve the qualitative level of films, they also reduce the human resources required in traditional film production processes. The impact on the Korean film industry is also noteworthy. Some Korean film production companies are leveraging AI to create films in a more creative and efficient manner. Efforts are being made to analyze audience data using AI and develop storylines that appeal to a larger audience. However, these technological changes are controversial among many Korean filmmakers who prefer traditional production methods. This study provides an in-depth discussion on whether the adoption of AI in the film industry can bring about positive innovation or inevitably lead to crises. It analyzes how AI technology is transforming traditional roles in the film industry and what new opportunities and challenges this change generates within the industry. Additionally. This study highlights the differences in technology adoption between Hollywood and Korean film industry and explores how each industry is embracing these technological changes.
Recently, the increasing importance of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has led to its increased use in various fields in the shipbuilding and marine industries. For example, typical scenarios for AI include production management, analyses of ships on a voyage, and motion prediction. Therefore, this study was conducted to predict a response amplitude operator (RAO) through AI technology. It used a neural network based on one of the types of AI methods. The data used in the neural network consisted of the properties of the vessel and RAO values, based on simulating the in-house code. The learning model consisted of an input layer, hidden layer, and output layer. The input layer comprised eight neurons, the hidden layer comprised the variables, and the output layer comprised 20 neurons. The RAO predicted with the neural network and an RAO created with the in-house code were compared. The accuracy was assessed and reviewed based on the root mean square error (RMSE), standard deviation (SD), random number change, correlation coefficient, and scatter plot. Finally, the optimal model was selected, and the conclusion was drawn. The ultimate goals of this study were to reduce the difficulty in the modeling work required to obtain the RAO, to reduce the difficulty in using commercial tools, and to enable an assessment of the stability of medium/small vessels in waves.

In this paper, we propose a system that automatically assigns user's experience-based emotion tags from wearable sensor data collected in real life. Four types of emotional tags are defined considering the user's own emotions and the information which the user sees and listens to. Based on the collected wearable sensor data from multiple sensors, we have trained a machine learning-based tagging system that combines the known auxiliary tools from the existing affective computing research and assigns emotional tags. In order to show the usefulness of this multi-modality-based emotion tagging system, quantitative and qualitative comparison with the existing single-modality-based emotion recognition approach are performed.
As the recent developments of artificial intelligence, particularly machine-learning, impact every aspect of society, they are also increasingly influencing creative fields manifested as new artistic tools and inspirational sources. However, as more artists integrate the technology into their creative works, the issues of diversity and fairness are also emerging in the AI-based creative practice. The data dependency of machine-learning algorithms can amplify the social injustice existing in the real world. In this paper, we present an interactive visualization system for raising the awareness of the diversity and fairness issues. Rather than resorting to education, campaign, or laws on those issues, we have developed a web & ML-based interactive data visualization system. By providing the interactive visual experience on the issues in interesting ways as the form of web content which anyone can access from anywhere, we strive to raise the public awareness of the issues and alleviate the important ethical problems. In this paper, we present the process of developing the ML-based interactive visualization system and discuss the results of this project. The proposed approach can be applied to other areas requiring attention to the issues.

Management science/operations research (MS/OR) educational software packages are widely used at the present time. Those software packages are expected to help students understand MS/OR techniques better. However, MS/OR educational software packages are often used as computational tools to obtain model solutions efficiently rather than as the tutoring software packages. Several possible reasons for the lack of effective tutoring capacity in MS/OR educational software packages are identified in this paper. The authors believe that the deficiency of tutoring capacity in those software is mainly due to technological limitations (computers and artificial intelligence) and the MS/OR professionals' perception about those software packages. Given technological limitations, feasible design and development approaches are provided to improve the tutoring effectiveness of MS/OR educational software packages.
