Objective : To research SUCCUS PHYLLOSTACHYOS through 38 kinds texts over generation for acuacupunture experiment of SUCCUS PHYLLOSTACHYOS. Methods : I studied origin, alias, species, tastes, meridian, effect, treatment, component, medical action and contraindication of SUCCUS PHYLLOSTACHYOS through 38 kinds mecical literatures. Results : Medical actions of SUCCUS PHYLLOSTACHYOS are Resolving slippery phlegm, Reducing fever, Nourishing Yin, Expelling wind and Activating blood circulation. Therefore SUCCUS PHYLLOSTACHYOS can be applied to aphonia, wind arthralgia, Diabetes, epilepsy and convulsive seizure in children. Specially for phlegm-retention due to stroke, it must be used with fresh ginger juice.

Gallium-67 scintigraphy is helpful in the assessment of active extrapulmonary sarcoidosis. Muscular involvement of sarcoidosis is often asymptomatic or nonspecific, and laboratory examinations do not provide convincing evidence of muscular involvement We report a case of muscular sarcoidosis, which was detected by gallium-67 scintigraphy. In a patient who was suffering from fever and arthralgia of knee joint, gallium-67 scintigraphy showed mediastinal and hilar involvement of sarcoidosis with unexpected extensive muscular uptake. Magenetic resonance imaging revealed the detailed depiction of intramuscular infiltration of sarcoid granuloma. Gallium-67 scintigraphy is useful in detecting inflammatory muscular involvement of sarcoidosis as well as other multiorgan involvement.

The construction workers might be at the risk of many occupational injuries and illnesses. To protect workers from various hazards, industrial health and hygiene systems were specified for the construction workers by law. It is important to know the actual health and safety(H&S) conditions by tasks and the characteristics of injuries and illnesses of construction workers. This study was designed to investigate the actual conditions of construction workers exposed to various harmful substances and work elements including evaluation of health status of each worker and general H&S system. Questionnaire was sent to 600 construction workers nationwide and totally 367 people responded to it having 61.67% of response rate. The common construction hazards were dust(29.6%), noise(19.3%), repetitive motions(12.0%), handling excessive heavy materials(11.2%) in order. The repetitive motions and handling heavy materials related to muscle disorders accounted for 23.2%. The accident and injury types were in order of overexertion, falling, overturning, dropping or flying, electric shock, collision, etc.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of exterior vascular laser irradiation therapy by live blood analysis. Methods: We analysed the changing forms of the live blood sample with a microscope before and after exterior vascular laser irradiation therapy of the blood. Results: Rouleau of red cells, erythrocyte aggregation of red cells, thrombocyte aggregation, uric acid crystals, red crystals, and protoplasts in blood were decreased significantly after exterior vascular laser irradiation therapy. Conclusions: This study suggests that exterior vascular laser irradiation will have positive effects in eliminating various effete matters in blood and will have efficacy in the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular system disorders and hyperlipidemia, caused by effete matters, or numbness and arthralgia caused by blood stagnancy and blood circulation disorder.

A 74-year-old man suffering from cryptogenic organizing pneumonia (OP) visited our department with arthralgia accompanied with partial swellings of proximal interphalangeal and metacarpophalangeal joints with morning stiffness. A diagnose of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) was made. It was thought that OP was associated with RA. We initiated a treatment with salazosulfapyridine and loxoprofen for RA. Although this treatment was effective, it was discontinued due to the development of drug eruption. As an alternative, the patient was treated with prednisolone (PSL) and clarithromycin (CAM). This treatment demonstrated being effective for OP and RA, to a certain extent; however, the RA activity was not completely suppressed. In order to suppress the RA activity further, tacrolimus (TAC) was successfully added with increasing the dosage of CAM that is assumed to raise blood TAC concentrations. The present case shows that treatment with PSL, CAM and TAC may be effective in some cases of RA.

This study has been carried out to investigate the cause and symptom of Seup-Su(濕嗽) by referring to 23 literatures. The results were as follows; 1. The factors causing Seup-Su(濕嗽) are divided into 3 groups. The 1st inner factor is lung affected by wetness(濕勝肺). The 2nd outer factors are wetness-evil(濕邪), syndrome caused by summer heat and wetness evils(暑濕), clothe after bath, sit down along the long time, symptoms caused by rain. The 3rd non-innwer and outer factor is the pholegm accumulated. 2. The symptom of Seup-Su(濕嗽) is as follows. arthralgia hidrosis difficulity in micturition pregnancy small tense pulse.

Ligusticum tenuissimum belongs to Umbelliferae, and its root is generally used in headache, common cold and arthralgia L. We have extracted and isolated butylidene phthal ide, 3-butylidene-4,5-dihydrophthalide of phthalide group and l-limonene, etc. of terpenoid group from the root by ordinary method. In Ligusticum sinense, L. jeholense, L. tenuissimum, L. jeholense var. tenuisectum, and L. officinale etc., the components of cnidilide, ligustilide of phthalide group are common features and specific constituents in genus Ligusticum. Therefore comparing that there is no phthalide group in genus Angelica, we think it is able to classify the difference of genus between Ligusticum and Angelica of Umbelliferae in chemotaxonomy.

The incidence of nephritis associated with Henoch-Sch nlein purpura varies, but glomerulonephritis consistently accounts for most of the associated morbidity and mortality. A very small number of Henoch-Sch nlein purpura develop rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis. A three-year old male patient who showed acute nephritic nephrotic syndrome developed abdominal pain, arthralgia and multiple purpurae on lower extremities later. Peritoneal dialysis was done at the 6th hospital day and continued for 7 months. Renal biopsy disclosed crescentic glomerulonephritis (with 81% crescent formation) and methylprednisolone pulse therapy was done. These days, his general condition is good, but serum creatinine levels are 1.2-1.3 mg/dL. This case was reviewed briefly with the literatures.

It has been reported that antisynthetase syndrome belongs to the idiopathic myositis group which includes pulmonary interstitial disease, arthritis, Raynaud's phenomenon, and mechanic's hand, associated with the anti-Jo1 antibody. A 60- year-old man presented with one month history of lower limbs weakness, rapidly progressive exertional dyspnea, and arthralgia. A markedly increased titers of anti-Jo1 antibodies were found. Chest CT showed idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Muscle biopsies were consistent with polymyositis. A high dose corticosteroids and cyclosporine were not effective. We report a case of antisynthetase syndrome, in which immunosuppressive agents could not rescue the deteriorating disease course.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of ILIB(Intravascular Laser Irradiation of blood) on Hyperfibrinogenemia. 20 patients with fibrinogen level of over $400mg／d{\ell}$ were treated with IUB. After !0 times' treatment, changes of fibrinogen level and clinical symptom were observed. The results were as follows: 1. Fibrinogen level was decreased in all of cases. 2. Most cases were suffered from neural symptoms(headache, palpitation, etc), circulatory symptoms (dizziness, numbness, deficiency of sensation, etc), musculo-skeletal symptoms(L.B.P, neck stiffness, arthralgia, etc.), fatigue, pollakiuria, constipation. After treatment, neural and circulatory symptoms were improved considerably.
