Technology Acceptance Model and fashion: Toward an integrated model for fashionable technology products (패션과 기술의 융합 제품을 위한 TAM과 패션의 통합 모형 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a theoretical model identifying how consumers accept a fashionable technology product. A systematic review of 39 influential TAM studies focusing on theory development in the context of information technology results in three tendencies, which become backbone of the model of fashionable technology acceptance. A subsequent review of the nature of fashion fleshes out the backbone with detailed propositions in the more specific context of fashionable technology. The model of fashionable technology acceptance includes key propositions of Theory of Reasoned Action, in which internal beliefs consist of functional, aesthetic and symbolic values, and other factors, such as technology features (i.e., hardware specification, software specification, brand, and price factors), environmental conditions (i.e., technical infrastructure and user occasion), individual differences (i.e., age, gender, experience, personality, aesthetic sense, fashion innovativeness, and income), and social influence (i.e., subjective norms, social reputation, and cultural difference). Implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research are also discussed.

ZPerformance Improvement of ART2 by Two-Stage Learning on Circularly Ordered Learning Sequence (순환 배열된 학습 데이터의 이 단계 학습에 의한 ART2 의 성능 향상)

  • Adaptive resonance theory (ART2) characterized by its built-in mechanism of handling the stability-plasticity switching and by the adaptive learning without forgetting informations learned in the past, is based on an unsupervised template matching. We propose an improved tow-stage learning algorithm for aRT2: the original unsupervised learning followed by a new supervised learning. Each of the output nodes, after the unsupervised learning, is labeled according to the category informations to reinforce the template pattern associated with the target output node belonging to the same category some dominant classes from exhausting a finite number of template patterns in ART2 inefficiently. Experimental results on a set of 2545 FLIR images show that the ART2 trained by the two-stage learning algorithm yields better accuracy than the original ART2, regardless of th esize of the network and the methods of evaluating the accuracy. This improvement shows the effectiveness of the two-stage learning process.

Street Optics (거리의 시각)

  • Street art operates within an already given visual order: the visuality of the modern city in which the regimentation of the image has become fully adaptive to-what Fredric Jameson termed-the logic of late capitalism. What is the relationship between street art and the hegemonic forms of the image dictated by the "city's rulers"? Does street art evoke an alternative kind of spectatorship? Can the unsolicited visual intervention in the life of the city open up an "optics" that resists the reifying patterns of the contemporary gaze? This paper follows Baudrillard's pioneering analysis of graffiti, arguing that the visuality of a certain kind of street images carries an important potential of challenging the hegemonic manner in which the contemporary image has come to dominate the field of vision.

  • In this paper, we designed an ART(Adaptive Resonance Theory) network based on LPC(Linear Prediction Coefficient) for classification of PVB (Premature Ventricular Beat: PVC, LBBB, RBBB). The procedure of proposed system consists of the error calculation, feature generation and processing of the ART network. The error is calculated after processing by linear prediction algorithm and the features of ART network or classification are obtained from the binary ata determined by threshold method. In conclusion, ART network has good performance in classification of PVB.

  • The post-clustering algorithms, which cluster the result of Web search engine, have some different requirements from conventional clustering algorithms. In this paper, we propose the new post-clustering algorithm satisfying those of requirements as many as possible. The proposed fuzzy Concept ART is the form of combining the concept vector having several advantages in document clustering with fuzzy ART known as real time clustering algorithms on the basis of fuzzy set theory. Moreover we show that it can be applicable to general-purpose clustering as well as post clustering.

  • Theories and concepts emerging in new media environment are influencing the field of current spatial design. Art and technology have always coexisted, not but they are differentiated in two parts. They show new communicational paradigm in terms of supplementary position each other. The fact that examining the expression method and the communicational structure of today's new media art will be an analytical tool which analyzes the concepts of contemporary spatial design. For this, we attempt to use the Bolter and Gusin's remediation theory as analytical tool. First of all, we consider its theoretical aspects, and then, classify them according to the creation method, and investigate the characteristics of expression according to their types. We prepared an framework of analysis using the Remediation theory and its traits. We reviewed the relations between new media and spaces concerning remediation. After researching, we could analyze the cognitive aspects between new media and spaces as immediacy, and recognize the operational aspects of visual image as hypermediacy. Through the analysis, we could recognize the traits that digital environmental simulacres, sense of telepresence, and non-linear hypermediacy etc. remediate with repeating of mediation of mediation.

  • The processes of informatization of the modern educational space are inextricably linked with the active introduction of innovative information technologies, which diversify the forms of education and upbringing. The use of these technologies in education due to their specific properties significantly enhances the clarity of learning, emotional impact on students, helps to deepen interdisciplinary links, intensifies students' work, and improves the organization of educational activities. Innovative information technologies offer new opportunities for the use of text, audio, graphic, and video information in lessons, enriching the methodological possibilities of the lesson. Today, the use of these technologies is becoming an integral part of the study of any subject. Using multimedia presentations, publications, and websites created by students in the learning process, they can develop learning skills. According to researchers, there are many multimedia programs for working with a computer in a music lesson, namely: a music player, a program for singing karaoke, a music constructor, music encyclopedias, and training programs. The introduction of innovative information technologies in the system of music education allows expanding learning opportunities.

The Principles of Clothing Design and the Way of Design Approach in Lamanova (라마노바의 의상디자인 이론과 접근 방식)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the principles of clothing design and the way of design approach in Lamanova. She caused a revolution in the art of dress and created the foundation for costume design theory. She Addressed Art in everyday life to self-taught dressmakers. The distinguishing feature of the design is simplicity and functionality. In an article "The Russian Style", Lamanova raised the question of the new Soviet costume and traditional costume. In "On Contemporary Costume" she classified the new forms of clothes into everyday and holiday attire, showed the principles of costume, and analyzed in detail the necessity of constructing a costume to suit the individual figure. In "On the Rationality of Costume", she found a basis theory for clothing design which is for whom, from what, and for what purpose. Lamanova's theory was made public in full in 1928 and was presented at the exhibition of Handmade Textiles and Embroidery in Women's Contemporary Costume. The main contents are the costume's purpose, it's material, the figure of its wearer, and its form. She argued that the new costume could be in line with the new life and her theory could be the creed of clothing designers. The principles of Lamanova's theory can still be applied today, not only in Russian traditional and contemporary costume, but in contemporary world fashion.

Abstract Art, the early phenomena of aesthetic discourse - In the case of Korean art in 1930s (추상, 그 미학적 담론의 초기 현상 -1930년대 한국의 경우)

  • In the late decade of 1930, under the Japanese Imperialism, the Korean abstract art which was formed with affection by Japan and Europe. They say the early Korean abstract art is colonized, from a point that it derives from exterior impact. And they say also it is colonized not to be related to the representation of their own life world. On the other hand, the early Korean abstract art in 1930s is told as the prehistory of 'Korean Modernism in Art', which flourished in 1970s followed 'Informal Art Movement' in the late 1950s. Because the status of abstract art in 1930s was not more than a germ of 'Korean Modernism in Art', while they understand until 1950s as a period dominated by representational art based on Chosun Exhibition or Korean National Exhibition, the period until 1970s as a period ruled by abstract art which was accepted as 'Korean Modernism in Art', and the period after 1980s as a period by Min-jung Art and Post-Modernism Art. However, the historical value of Korean Abstract Art in 1930s cannot be passed over, if not trying to understand the development of 'Korean Modernism in Art' especially focusing on not their own history but the impact of Western and Japanese art. In the late colonial period, the Korean early abstract art was the strongest utterance of the time paradoxically, even if not related much to optical representation of the Korean subjectivity. Therefore the existing viewpoints about the early Korean abstract art should be changed.

On bi(必, necessity) and xianzhi(先知, a priori knowledge) of Mojing (『묵경』에 있어서 '선지(先知)'와 '필(必)' 개념의 문제)

  • The aim of this paper is to reject Graham's interpretation of bi (必) and xianzhi (先知) of Later Mohists' Mojing ("墨經") as logical necessity and a priori knowledge respectively. Graham's interpretations of them are based on his beliefs that Mojing distinguishes lun (論), the art of description from bian (辯), the art of inference in the Mohist disciplines and that the latter art should be seen as such a rigorous proof as Euclidean geometry even though it is not a Western formal logic. His beliefs also start from his distinguishing 'knowledge of names' from 'knowledge of conjunction of names and objects' according to the objects of knowledge. In my reading, the art of description and the art of inference, however, can't be sharply distinguished each other in Mojing and bi and xianzhi should be taken as suggesting both a normative necessity and an empirical necessity. A normative necessity is derived from 'normative theory of definition' which comes form the theory of rectification of names in China. The normative theory of definition, unlike the descriptive theory of definition, defines terms normatively rather than descriptively. For example, although such a definition of father, 'father is beneficient', has the form of being descriptive, but it actually is prescriptive and therefore means 'father should be beneficient'. Through this normative theory of definition, empirical knowledge, as long as it is a knowledge, is seen as necessary and so can't be wrong. To conclude, for Mohists an empirical knowledge is always a basis of an inferential knowledge or a priori knowledge, so Mohists' a priori knowledge is not really a fundamental knowledge and its necessity therefore is nothing but both a normative necessity and an empirical necessity.
