The purpose of this study is to suggest the ways of improving systematic records management based on the results of analyzing the present records management situation of college and department in an university which is operating archives. To achieve the purpose, survey and interview of the persons in charge of producing and managing the administrative documents of college and department were conducted. Furthermore, actual condition investigation of records management of college and department and university archives were analyzed. According to the results of analysis, the following problems were found: 1) lack of sufficient records management by college and department, 2) lack of understanding of tasks by processing staffs, 3) operational problems of university archives. Based on the results, recommendations were made as follows; First, it is necessary to improve an awareness of records management by operating staffs. Second, it is necessary to educate staffs through the development of training programs reflecting the characteristics of the university and set up guidelines for records management by college and department. Third, it is necessary to execute reorganization and supplement the personnel of university archives.

This study aims to provide basic resources for the construction of the archives on the official family service history in Korea. The study collected records of family policies and official family service from 1948 to 2019 and thereafter attempted to classify the official family service. In addition, experts were consulted to diagnose compliance with research contents and directions, investigate priorities of the family policies, and provide opinions on the elements of each process of archiving. The results of this study were as follows. First, there were five areas of concern to be considered in the process of establishing an archive of official family services: concept, scope, collection, arrangement, preservation, and utilization. Second, the findings suggest which processes are critical to developing a sustainable and systematic archive system for the official family service history. The construction of the archives will provide a platform for understanding the contents of integrated family policies and inform the direction of future family policies in Korea. In addition, these archives will be an important factor in building a solid Korean national identity.

In this study, considering the National Memorial of the Korean Provisional Government as a "Larchiveum," the researchers attempted to develop a classification system that can comprehensively categorize various types of materials and propose a method of providing an online service. To this end, as a case study, the researchers examined the classification system structure and contents of the National Archives of Korea, National Assembly Archives, and Archives of Korean History of the National Institute of Korean History, which are the current material collection institutions of the Korean Provisional Government. Regarding online services, apart from the three institutions above, the Imperial War Museum and the Hoover Institution at Stanford University were also explored. Through the implications derived from the case analysis of domestic and foreign institutions, a basic hierarchical classification system by provenance for the materials held by the institution was established, and a multi-classification system was presented according to the classification criteria of "by type, by era, and by subject." In addition, methods of applying the developed classification system to online services were proposed.

In this paper, conservation treatment processes for the wooden furniture in the Presidential Archives are introduced. Conservation treatment strategies for modern wooden cultural heritage have been increasingly studied. The current study uses materials similar to those used by the existing conservation treatment method. Material analysis showed that the chair(Lee136-2) and desk(Yun37) in the Presidential Archives are made of Dipterocarpaceae, and both are coated with two layers of varnishing. FT-IR analysis showed that the varnish has a similar spectrum to that of a nitrocellulose-based lacquer(Lee136-2) and top coat(Yun37) and confirmed that a synthetic material was used. Pollutants had adhered to the surface of the wooden furniture and it was also in structurally unstable condition because of cracks and damage to the varnish and wood. Therefore, a conservation treatment was carried out to restore the damaged areas to their original appearance using similar kinds of materials, based on data obtained by materials analysis.
