발전소용, 인버터에 의한 절전형 아크용접기에 관한 연구 (A Study on Arc Welder of Inverter for Energy Saving in Power Station)

  • Recently, in the industrial applications, accurate arc control for welding machine are developed. This paper describes arc control of inverter-fed arc welding machine, and efficiency of inverter-fed arc welding machine. It is shown that the arc pressure and are stiffness of the pulse arc nay be as much as several times that of the equivalent dc are. Finally, the theoretical predictions are compared with test. The potential of such a welding machine is also described.

  • In this paper, the electromagnetic force acting in the arc column of 3 different extinction units is compared with using the FEM (Finite Element Method) and the arc velocity is calculated by the drag force of the fluid mechanics. The experiment for breaking the arc current was performed in each model at 100 volts in order to measure the arcing time. The outcome was compared with the computing value. As a result, this paper proposes that the divided U-shaped grid is able to shorten arcing time and improve the electric performance. It also suggests a methodology for comparing and analyzing the result obtained by simulation and experiment.

  • UL 1699에서 규정된 직렬 아크 실험기구를 제작하고 아크 전류파형들과 비선형 부하의 전류파형을 고찰하여 화재의 징후가 되는 아크 검출 방법을 살펴본다. 아크의 정확한 검출에 디지털신호처리 기법의 도입이 필요함을 보이고 이러한 아크 검출연구에 본 연구 결과가 초석으로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

  • We derived a theory of increasing electromagnetic force which acts on arc column for reducing arcing time between electric contacts. A simulation method of arc velocity is presented by calculating blowout force using 3D FEM and drag force acting on arc column. This paper proposes 3 types arc extinguish chamber of different flux path and presents the specific electromagnetic force and arc velocity of each model by the analysis. The result of analysis and experimental proposes the prediction method of arc time when all conditions are same except external magnetic field.

프리아크를 이용한3차원 형상 공간 장애물 구성 방법 (A Method for Constructing 3-Dimensional C-obstacles Using Free Arc)

  • We suggests an effective method to construct time-varying C-obstacles in the 3-dimensional configuration space (C-space) using free arc. The concept of free arc was defined mathematically and the procedure to find free arc in the case off-dimensional C-space was derived in [1]. We showed that time-varying C-obstacles can be constructed efficiently using this concept, and presented simulation results for two SCARA robot manipulators to verify the efficacy of the proposed approach. In this paper, extensions of this approach to the 3-dimensional C-space is introduced since nearly all industrial manipulators are reasonably treated ill the too or three dimensional C-space f3r collision avoidance problem The free arc concept is summarized briefly and the method to find lice arc in the 3-dimensional f-space is explained. To show that this approach enables us to solve a practical collision avoidance problem simulation results f3r two PUMA robot manipulators are presented.

  • One of the purposes of arc control is to change its state to the diffuse state before current zero as soon as possible. This can provide optimal conditions for full extinction of arc by minimizing the quantity of residual plasma between contacts near current zero. TRV(transient recovery voltage) occurs at current zero at the same time with current interruption. If there is substantial residual plasma near current zero it can cause 'post arc current' by the interaction of its conductance with TRV. In this paper, arc control ability as a function of configuration of spiral type VI contacts was compared on the criteria of the time taken for arc to reach to the diffuse state.

  • In this study a new arc sensor algorithm for automatic weld seam tracking was proposed, which uses the relative welding current variation according to the tip-to-workpiece distance in GMA welding. Since the new developed arc sensor algorithm is not sensitive to unstable factors of arc signal, the system is expected to get rid of the problems of already existing arc sensor system which include the difficulty of modeling the process for various welding conditions and limitation of application to thick plate welding. Thus the system is applicable not only to thick plate welding but also to thin plate welding. To implement the new arc sensor algorithm the system parameters which include sampling time, averaging range, weighting factor of moving averaging, basic compensation time, and basic compensation distance were determined by experimental analysis. Consequently this system has shown the successful tracking capability for the various welding conditions.

220 V 직렬 아크고장발생 시 점화 시간/전류 특성 및 에너지 분석 (Analysis of Ignition Time/Current Characteristics and Energy when Series Arc-Fault Occurs at Rated 220 V)

  • Probability of ignition due to arc-fault and energy of the arc-fault for the case of applying serial arc-fault interruption time of 120 V defined in UL 1699 to the voltage of 220 V of domestic condition and also for the case of applying it to the HIV wire type are analyzed. It has been confirmed that when the arc-fault occurs under 5 A, 10 A, and 20 A. Probability of ignition for the three different current conditions is 0.74(74%), 0.48(48%), and 0.32(32%) respectively for respective interruption time within 1 sec, 0.4 sec, and 0.2 sec. We discover that when we apply the same arc interruption time for 120 V defined in UL 1699 to the domestic environment of 220 V. The probability of ignition increases from 1.5% for 120 V condition to as much as 74% for 220 V condition. Conclusively, if we apply the standard for the serial arc-fault interruption time defined in UL 1699 for 120 V to the domestic condition of 220 V, the fire prevention effect of electric fire due to arc-fault equal to that of UL standard of 120 V can not be achieved.

아크 검출기 관련 규정 마련에 관한 연구 (A study on working out arc detector related regulations)

  • 국내에서 전기 화재의 70% 이상이 아크로 인하여 발생하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이를 예방하기 위한 방안을 마련하기 위하여 기존의 누전 차단기에 관한 기술기준 및 규정을 분석하였으며, 아크 검출기에 관한 기술기준 및 규정은 아크의 특성을 고려하여 기존의 누전 차단기에 관한 기술기준 및 규정과는 별도로 제정되어야 한다는 결론을 얻었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 아크 검출기 관련 규정은 기존 누전 차단기의 관련 규정에 추가 되거나 이것과 별개인 규정으로 제정되어야 한다고 제안하였다. 특히 아크로 인한 화재를 예방하기 위해서는 아크 검출기의 신속한 보급이 필요하고 그 설치를 의무화하는 것이 바람직하다. 따라서 이 같은 여건을 고려했을 때 기존 누전차단기 규정에 아크 검출기 관련 사항들을 추가할 것을 제안하였다. 아크 검출기의 기술 기준에는 아크의 판단 규격과 차단 임계치, 그리고 차단기가 반응하지 말아야 할 불요신호의 범위 등이 반드시 반영되어야 한다.

GMAW에서 아크 빛을 이용한 실시간 용접품질 모니터링에 관한 연구 (A Study on On-Line Quality Monitoring Using Arc Light in Gas Metal Arc Welding)

  • Gas metal arc welding(GMAW) is regarded as one of the best candidate for welding automation in industrial joining application. It is important to monitor the weld quality for the high performance weld automation. In GMAW, weld quality is closely related to arc stability especially. In this paper, arc light signal is measured and spectrum analyzed to the detect the variation of the weld quality. The FFT of the signal showed that the amplitude variance of FFT power spectrum was very large in poor weld process such as the decrease of weld bead width and height. The results show that it is possible to detect the weld defect position in weld process.
