A Review of the Genus Sinopoda (Arachnida: Araneae: Sparassidae) in Korea

  • The giant crab spider genus Sinopoda in Korea is reviewed with detailed illustrations of male palpal organs. Three species, S. forcipata, S. stellatops, S. koreana are recognized with newly collected specimens. The first species is recorded newly in Korean spider fauna. A key to the species of the Korean Sinopoda spiders are also provided.

한국산 큰앉은뱅이속(앉은뱅이목: 두줄앉은뱅이과)의 2신종 (Two New Species of the Genus Parosium (Pseudoscorpionida: Neobisiidae) from Korea)

  • 1991년 4월부터 1995년 9월까지 전국의 삼림토양에서 채집한 앉은뱅이를 동정한 결 과 큰앉은뱅이속 Parobisium magnum의 1아종을 포함한 3종을 기록했으며 이중 2신종, Parobisium longipalpus n. sp. (긴두줄앉은뱅이: 신칭), Parobisium robustiella n. sp.(작은두 줄앉은뱅이: 신칭)가 포함되어 있다. 이에 한구산 큰앉은뱅이는 총 4종이 된다.

Review of the Poorly Known Harvestman Subfamily Opilioninae (Arachnida: Opiniones: Phalangiidae) with Himalphalangium spinulatum from Korea

  • Himalphalangium spinulatum (Roewer, 1911) collected from Gijang-gun, Busan-city, Korea is redescribed with spination of leg, detailed illustrations including SEM photographs for the first time. Bidentolophus bidens (Simon, 1880) as a junior synonym of Opilio koreanus Charitonov, 1957 from North Korea is additionally reported in the Korean fauna. Also, a key to the species of Korean subfamily Opilioninae is provided.

  • A Korean Cheiracanthium erraticum (Walckenaer, 1802) is first described with detailed illustrations, leg spination, trichobothrium patterns and SEM photographs of male palp and female epigynum. Two species, C. lascivum Karsch, 1879 and C. eutittha Boesenberg & Strand, 1906 are excluded from Korean fauna. A map showing distribution of species and a key to the species of genus Cheiracanthium from Korea are provided.
