학점제 고등학교 생활거점공간의 영역 형성에 관한 연구 - 일본의 총합학과 고등학교를 대상으로 - (Research on the Domain Formation of Living Base Space of Credit System High Schools - Focused on Japanese Comprehensive High Schools -)

  • The high school credit system is a system in which students select complete various subjects, depending on their career, and graduate when their accumulated credit reaches the standard. It is expected that the high school credit system, which guarantees the individual's right of choice, will bring an educational effect that can respond to the student's career aptitude. However, it is expected that problems in the aspect of school life, such as the weakening of class belongingness or difficulty of securing a stable base venue within the school building would be accompanied. This research analyzed students' usage condition depending on the living base space environment feature in schools that are implementing moving-selective class in the aspect of activity domain formation and contemplated the venue evaluation. The purpose is to provide the basic data of an architectural plan of a stable living base space within the school building through this. 'Living base center type' and 'living base dispersion type' school buildings among Japanese integral department high schools were used as the target to analyze the usage condition in the aspect of domain formation. As a result, a conclusion was deducted that student's securement of territory consciousness about the base space and venue construction for the community of various studying groups affects life satisfaction.

일부 치위생 전공 학생들에 대한 주관적 인식의 융합적 연구 (A Convergence Study of Subjective Perception of Some Dental Hygiene Major Students)

  • 본 연구는 일부 치위생을 전공하는 학생들의 주관적 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대하여 알아보기 위해 시행하였다. 재학생 292명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 시행하였고 자료는 SPSS 22.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 주관적 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인을 다중회귀분석 한 결과 유의미하게 영향을 주는 요인은 일반 만족, 교과 만족, 적성에 맞아 입학하는 경우가 정적 영향 미쳤으며 관계 만족, 2학년, 공공 및 치과 유관업체에 취업을 희망하는 경우가 부적 영향으로 나타났으며 이 중 가장 영향을 주는 요인은 일반 만족으로 나타났다. 따라서 여러 요인에 대한 개선을 통하여 재학생들의 주관적 인식이 향상될 수 있도록 해야 한다. 이를 위해서는 추후 지속적인 연구를 통하여 대상자에게 맞는 다양한 교육 및 상담 지원 프로그램 구축하여 긍정적 인식의 제고와 맞춤 취업지도가 필요하다고 사료된다.

치과기공사 이미지와 전공만족도가 치기공과 학생의 중도탈락의도에 미치는 영향 (Influence of dental technicians' image and major satisfaction upon dental technology students' dropout intention)

  • This study was carried out to understand the influence of dental technicians' image and major satisfaction on dental technology students' dropout intention. A questionnaire survey was administered to 273 students in the Department of Dental Technology. Frequency analysis, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis were performed. The results are as follows: The image of dental technicians differed significantly depending on factors such as school year, personality, whether a family member is a dental technician or not, reason for choosing a department, difficulty in one's own academic life, and disciplinary life adaptation (p<0.05). The image of dental technicians was seen to be positively perceived when the respondent had an affirmative personality, or had a dental technician among family members or chose the department for its uniqueness, or found no difficulty in academic life, and adapted well to a situational or environmental change. Major satisfaction of dental technicians was seen a meaningful difference in items such as school year, personality, awareness of dental technicians, reason for choosing a department, the difficulty in own academic life, and the disciplinary life adaptation (p<0.05). Individuals with high major satisfaction and low dropout intention included those with a positive personality, who think affirmatively about dental technicians, who chose a department owing to suiting the aptitude and interest or to the uniqueness of the major. The influential factors on dropout intention included general satisfaction out of major satisfaction, perspective and self-confident image among dental technicians, and an awareness of dental technicians. The establishment of a desirable image of dental technicians and the improvement in major satisfaction are considered likely to contribute to reducing the dropout intention of dental technology students.

핵물리 연구 참여 경험이 예비 과학교사의 과학 탐구과정의 본성에 대한 인식과 진로탐색에 미치는 영향 (The effect of pre-service science teachers' experiences in nuclear physics research on their understanding of scientific inquiry process and career planning)

  • 본 연구에서는 6명의 예비 과학교사들이 30주간 핵물리 관련 URP 프로그램에 참여하면서 어떠한 경험을 하며 이러한 경험이 그들의 과학 지식 및 과학 탐구 과정, 과학자에 대한 인식, 그리고 그들이 자신의 진로를 탐색하는 데 어떠한 영향을 주는지에 대해 알아보았다. 참여 학생들에 대한 심층적 이해를 위해, 실험과정 및 토의과정에의 참여 관찰 및 필드노트, 개별 심층 면담 및 그룹면담, 연구일지 등이 주요 자료로 수집되었다. 연구 결과, 참여 학생들은 과학이론이 생성되기까지의 과정에서 드러나는 특성들, 즉 계속적인 반복의 과정으로 시간과 인내를 요구하며, 창의성과 공동 연구의 중요성 등을 인식하게 되었다. 또한 전형적인 과학자의 이미지에 대해 다소 변화된 부분이 있었다. 뿐만 아니라 그들은 URP 프로그램 참여를 통해 물리학에 대해 더욱 관심을 갖게 됨과 동시에 물리학에 대한 자신의 적성을 확인하는 기회를 갖게 되었다.

제7차 화학 I 교육과정의 목표, 내용 및 평가에 대한 화학교사들의 인식 및 수업의 실제 (Chemistry teachers' perceptions on aims, contents, and evaluations of the 7th Chemistry I Curriculum and realities of instruction in classrooms)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 실제 수업을 통해 이루어진 교수 상황과 면담을 통하여 제7차 화학I 교육과정이 화학 교사들에게 어떻게 인식되고 있는지 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이 연구를 위하여 화학I 교과를 가르쳐 본 경험을 가지고 있는 4명의 화학 교사를 선정하였다. 연구 결과, 화학 교사들은 제7차 교육과정 화학I 의 목표를 바르게 인식하고 있었으나, 실제 수업에서는 화학II 교과에 제시하는 개념들까지도 다루는 설명식 수업을 하고 있었다. 교사들은 그 이유가 대학수학능력시험 때문이라고 생각하였다. 그러나 기출문제를 분석한 결과, 화학I 교과를 벗어난 내용은 거의 없었다. 이를 통해 화학교사들은 제7차 화학I 교육과정의 목적을 피상적인 지식으로만 알고 있을 뿐 내면화하지 못하고 있으며, 평가에 대한 잘못된 인식이 7차 교육과정의 화학I 교과의 정신을 발현하는데 방해한다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

대학부설 과학영재교육원의 교육활동에 대한 대학생이 된 수료생의 평가 (Evaluating the Impact of Educational Programs at Science Education Center for the Gifted by its graduates who are currently attending college)

  • 대학부설 과학영재교육원의 교육 프로그램이 수료생들에게 어떤 영향을 주었는지 평가하기 위해 과학과 관련된 동기, 자신감, 지식과 탐구활동, 동료와의 상호작용 범주로 구성하고 총 30개의 5단계 리커트 문항을 개발하였다. 과학영재교육원을 2년 이상 이수한 학생들 중 대학생 26명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 후 10명의 학생들을 대상으로 면담을 하였다. 연구 결과 전반적으로 수료생들은 과학영재교육원에서 받은 교육활동을 긍정적으로 평가했으며, 특히 동료와의 상호작용 범주와 지식과 탐구활동 범주를 상대적으로 더 높게 평가하였다. 학생들과의 면담 결과 과학영재들에게 대학교에서 진행되는 과학자와의 상호작용, 새로운 과학 지식 내용을 바탕으로 한 과학자와 유사한 탐구 활동, 과학적 성취도가 탁월한 동료와의 상호작용이 강조된 교육원 활동은 과학과 관련한 동기 유발과 자신감 향상에 효과적이었다.

진로계획과정모형에 기반한 충남대학교 의과대학 진로박람회 개선 사례 (Case Study on a Revised Career Fair at a Medical School Based on the Career Planning Process Model)

  • Medical students' career choices hold significant importance at both individual and national levels. Therefore, Chungnam National University College of Medicine aimed to systematize its revised career fair in 2022, basing its efforts on a career planning process model. Chungnam National University College of Medicine sought to formalize the design process by utilizing the ADDIE model (analysis design, development, implementation, evaluation model) in developing programs for the career fair program. Throughout the entire process, the student support center and student council actively collaborated, striving to incorporate students' requests and opinions. They designed and developed a program for all stages of the career planning process. However, a new stage ("review & ref lection") was added to the existing 4-phase model, creating a transformed framework where this stage interacts with the original 4 phases. Each stage involved portfolios, career aptitude tests, career-related lectures, posters with introductory information about majors, and booths for each major. The revised career fair attracted double the expected participants (N=589). The program evaluation survey showed overall positive responses (N=135). Additionally, some factors in the Specialty Indecision Scale showed significant differences between before and after the career fair. The success of the newly developed career fair at Chungnam National University College of Medicine can be attributed to its systematic framework and the active involvement of students throughout the process. However, for aspects with long-term implications, such as "understand yourself " and "choose your specialty," there may be a need for supplementary programs.

A narrative review on immersive virtual reality in enhancing high school students' mathematics competence: From TPACK perspective

  • This narrative review explores the transformative potential of immersive virtual reality (IVR) in enhancing high school students' mathematics competence, viewed through the lens of the technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPACK) framework. This review comprehensively illustrates how IVR technologies have not only fostered a deeper understanding and engagement with mathematical concepts but have also enhanced the practical application of these skills. Through the careful examination of seminal papers, this study carefully explores the integration of IVR in high school mathematics education. It highlights significant contributions of IVR in improving students' computational proficiency, problem-solving skills, and spatial visualization abilities. These enhancements are crucial for developing a robust mathematical understanding and aptitude, positioning students for success in an increasingly technology-driven educational landscape. This review emphasizes the pivotal role of teachers in facilitating IVR-based learning experiences. It points to the necessity for comprehensive teacher training and professional development to fully harness the educational potential of IVR technologies. Equipping educators with the right tools and knowledge is essential for maximizing the effectiveness of this innovative teaching approach. The findings also indicate that while IVR holds promising prospects for enriching mathematics education, more research is needed to elaborate on instructional integration approaches that effectively overcome existing barriers. This includes technological limitations, access issues, and the need for curriculum adjustments to accommodate new teaching methods. In conclusion, this review calls for continued exploration into the effective use of IVR in educational settings, aiming to inform future practices and contribute to the evolving landscape of educational technology. The potential of IVR to transform educational experiences offers a compelling avenue for research and application in the field of mathematics education.

여학생 친화적 과학활동 프로그램의 운영 평가 (Evaluation on the Implementation of Girl Friendly Science Activity)

  • 여학생 친화적 과학 활동 프로그램의 활용 현황을 조사하고 시범운영 결과를 분석하여 이를 토대로 프로그램의 확대 보급 방안을 마련하기 위하여 본 연구를 수행하였다. 1999년 여성부의 연구용역으로 개발된 여학생 친화적 과학활동 자료는 5개 주제의 특기적성 교육자료와 7학년부터 10학년 까지의 심화 보충 학습자료들인데, 이 자료는 서울 지역의 과학교사 모임인 '신나는 과학을 만드는 사람들'의 홈페이지에 체계적으로 정리되어 수록되었으며 한글 문서를 다운로드받아서 활용할 수도 있고 html 형식의 문서를 모니터 상에서 그대로 확인할 수도 있도록 하였다. 현재 여학생 친화적 과학활동 자료 홈페이지의 방문객이 꾸준히 이어지고 있다. 특기 적성 프로그램에 대한 시범 실시 결과, 개발된 자료는 개발 목적과의 일치도 및 내용 및 수준, 적용 효과에 대해서는 높은 점수를 얻었지만 교사 수행의 수월성, 조직과 운영 측면에서는 낮은 점수를 얻었다. 또한 학생들은 과학에 대한 인식이 변화되었고, 간학문적인 활동을 통해 다양한 과학 경험을 하였다는 점에 대해서 긍정적으로 생각하였다. 한편, 학생들의 활동 내용에 대한 평가는 성공의 경험에 크게 좌우되며, 주로 오리고 자르고 붙이는 일로 이루어진 활동에 대한 평가 점수는 낮게 나타났다. 학생들의 성취도 검사에 의하면, 정의적 영역은 향상되었지만(p<0.05), 탐구 능력의 향상은 통계적으로 의미가 없었다. 그러나 많은 시범 실시학교에서 협동 활동 및 토의 능력의 향상과 관찰, 추론 능력이 향상되었음을 관찰하였다고 보고하였다. 본 프로그램의 확대 보급을 위해서는 프로그램이 교사들의 지지를 얻고 이들의 교수 학습 전략을 변화될 수 있도록 유도하는 것이 가장 중요하며, 이에 따라 교사 커뮤니티를 형성하고 교사 연수를 실시하는 것이 필요하다는 결론을 얻었다. 또한 프로그램의 추가 개발 및 국내 여성 과학 기술인을 적극적으로 발굴하여 교육 자료화하는것 등이 추후 실천해야할 과제로 남아있다.

치과기공사의 업무스트레스에 대한 연구 (A Study on Job Stress of Dental Technician)

  • The purpose of this study was to be of use for getting rid of job stress from dental technicians, by examining how much they were stressed out at work place as one of the professional medical personnels. The subjects in this study were 255 selected dental technicians who were working in the region of Taegu. The one-on-one interview was conducted from March 1 to 30, 2001, with structured questionnaire. The questionnaire sued in this study included 19 question items about the general characteristics and 29 items regarding job stress. The job stress was categorized into seven subareas based on earlier studies and considering the job situations of dental technicians: heavy workload, job conflicts, improper treatment, role and job knowledge, human relations, physical environment and personal matters. The job stress extent was measured on five-point Likert scale that is widely used in social science: one point for no stress, two for little stress, three for so-so, four for a little stress, and five for severe stress. Therefore, a higher point means a severer job stress. The reliability of the questionnaire turned out very good with Cronbach a = 0.9272. The findings of this study were as follows: 1. The general characteristics of the dental technicians investigated could be described as below: (1) By gender, 80.4% of the dental technicians were male, and 50.2%, the largest percentage, were in their 20s, followed by those in their 30s, those in their 40s, and those in their 50s in the order named. (2) The most common work place was dental technician shop(92.5%), followed by dental technology room in dental hospital or clinic and in general hospital in the order named. The primary duties were coating materials work(30.6%), followed by sculpture, grinding, partial and full denture and orthodontics in the order named. 2. The most larges (1) The most largest motivation to be a dental technician was its being a professional(33.7%), followed by the advice from others, their own aptitude, and good economic treatment in the order named. 3. Their job stress could be explained as below: (1) Their collective job stress average was 3.96$^{\circ}{\ae}$0.50 on the basis of 5 point, which showed that they were exposed to a fairly severe job stress. (2) By area, they were most stressed out from heavy workload (4.12), and they also were severely stressed from role and job knowledge(4.02) and personal matters(4.00). (3) By situation, they were most stressed when the disagreement of prosthesis that results from a specific error is unconditionally attributed to them(4.43). And they were also stressed a lot when their workload increases due to the rework(4.38), when a dentist asks something difficult for them to resolve(4.20), when heavy workload makes their working hours irregular and it's impossible to lead a personal life or have leisure time(4.16), and when they are o work for an excessively short time(4.16). This fact indicated that most of the dental technicians were exposed to a lot of stress in conjunction with job performance. 4. The main duties they took charge of didn't make any significant difference to their job stress, but yielded a significant difference to the extent of job stress in individual areas and the order of the most stressful one. Those who were engaged in grinding were most stressed from their own matters, whereas heavy workload was most stressful for those who were engaged in the other types of works. 5. As a result of seeing if their personal characteristics yielded any differences to job stress, the personal characteristics that made their job stress vary significantly were working hours, motivation of being a dental technician, job satisfaction and willingness to continue doing dental technology works. There was a tendency that longer working hours led to severer job stress, and those who chose to be a dental technician according to their own aptitude were less stressed than the others who became a dental technician because of economic reason or advices from others. And the people who were satisfied with their job were exposed to less job stress than the others who weren't, and those who had an intention to keep that job as much as possible were less stressed, compared to the others who hadn't.
