Delay-dependent stabilization for time-delay systems;An LMI approach

  • This paper focuses on the problem of asymptotic stabilization for time-delay systems. To this end, a memoryless state feedback controller is proposed. Then, based on the Lyapunov method, a delay-dependent stabilization criterion is devised by taking the relationship between the terms in the Leibniz-Newton formula into account. Certain free weighting matrices are used to express this relationship and linear matrix inequalities (LMIs)-based algorithm to design the controller stabilizing the system.

  • This paper propose a new delay-dependent stability criterion of neutral time-delay systems. By employing double-integral terms in augmented states and constructing a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii's functional, a delay-dependent stability criterion is established in terms of Linear Matrix Inequality. Through numerical examples, the validity and improvement results obtained by applying the proposed stability criterion will be shown.

  • The reduction of chip area and delay is important purpose of Scheduling in High-Level Synthesis. This paper presents a scheduling approach with component selection. After obtaining a initial schedule taking only single-functional u-nits, the component selection of our approach attempts the reduction of chip area and/or delay by the selection more suitable components in a component library using Simulated Annealing.

  • This paper considers a topological optimization of a network design with mean packet delay and node connectivity constraints. The objective is to find the topological layout of links, at minimal cost. This Problem is known to be NP-hard. To efficiently solve the problem, a scatter search algorithm is proposed. An illustrative example is used to explain and test the proposal approach. Experimental results show evidence that the proposal approach performs more efficiently for finding a good solution or near optimal solution in comparison with a genetic approach.

  • Nowadays variable delay arithmetic units have been used for implementing a datapath of\ulcorner target system in pursuit of performance improvement. However. adoption of variable delay arithmetic units requires modification of a typical synchronous control units design methodology. There is a representative approach, which is called a monolithic approach. Although its results are good, its proposed methodology may cause critical problems in the aspects of area and performance with the size increase of initial system specifications. In order to solve this problems, a distributed approach is suggested. Experimental results show that the Proposed method can guarantee original performance of an initial system specification with minimized additional area increase.

  • In this paper, we establish a sufficient condition for the controllability of the first-order impulsive functional differential inclusions with infinite delay in Banach spaces. The approach used is the nonlinear alternative of Leray-Schauder type for multivalued maps. An example is also given to illustrate our result.

진입교통량을 고려한 회전교차로 Signal Metering 운영에 관한 연구 (A Study on Roundabout Signal Metering Operation by Considering Entry Lane's Traffic Volume)

  • 회전교차로(roundabout)는 용량 이하의 상태에서 접근로별 교통류가 균등할 경우 기존 신호교차로에 비해 운영효율성이 증대되나 토지이용변화로 교통량이 증가하면서 접근로별 교통류가 불균등 해질 경우(차로 당 450대/시 이상) 주접근로에서 회전교차로 내부로의 진입이 어려워져 효율성이 떨어지게 된다. 본 연구에서는 1차로형 4지 회전교차로를 대상으로 회전교차로 설치이후 교통량 증가로 신호교차로 설치에 대한 재검토를 하기 전에 회전교차로를 효율적으로 운영할 수 있는 Signal Metering 전환기준 및 운영방법을 제시하고 효과분석(지체 및 대기행렬)은 SIDRA를 활용하였다. 본 연구결과 총 진입교통량이 1,800~2,000pcu/시 이고 주접근로의 진입교통량비가 60~70%일 때 지체는 30~40% 그리고 대기행렬은 30~60% 감소하였다. 또한 주접근로에 가장 인접한 부접근로에 Metered Approach를 설치하고 한 쌍(pair)으로 묶어서 운영하는 것이 효과적인 것으로 분석되었다.

전환 시스템 접근법을 이용한 구간 시간지연 선형 시스템의 안정성 (Stability of Interval Time-delayed Linear Systems using a Switched System Approach)

  • This paper considers the stability of linear systems having an interval time-varying delay using a switched system approach. The time-delay system is converted to the switched system equivalently, and then a stability criterion in the form of linear matrix inequality(LMI) is derived by using a parameter dependent Lyapunov-Krosovskii function(PD-LKF). In constructing a PD-LKF, the decomposition is employed for delay free intervals, and the reduction of conservatism is shown analytically as the number of decomposition increases. Finally, two well-known numerical examples are given to show the reduction of conservatism compared to the recent results.

  • This paper considers the problem of sampled-data control for continuous linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. It is assumed that the sampling periods are arbitrarily varying but bounded. Based on the input delay approach, the sampled-data control LPV system is transformed into a continuous time-delay LPV system. Some less conservative stabilization results represented by LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality) are obtained by using the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method and the reciprocally combination approach. The proposed method for the designed gain matrix should guarantee asymptotic stability and a specified level of performance on the closed-loop hybrid system. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and the improvement of the proposed method.
