The purpose of this study is to know experiences and process of patients' healing relation with nurses. This study had been conducted from July to September in 1994. The subjects were 7 patients who had hospitalized within 10 days at general surgery unit in C university hospital. The data were collected through in-depth interview and observation on the basis of Grounded Theory. In-depth interview were performed 3-6 times for each patient and taken 10-15 minutes at once. The result were as follows : (1) The main concepts are worry to operation, worry to hospital environment, worry to their children, worry to nurses, general appraisal, appraisal of appearance, appraisal of attitude, appraisal of nurses' response, appraisal of nurses' help, interest to patients, appraisal of explanation, appraisal of direct nursing, appraisal of nursing role, appraisal of nursing fairness, empathy, feeling of jung, discontent exposure, content, rapport. (Jung is a unique feeling that appeared in only korean culture) (2) The main categories are worry, general appraisal, concrete appraisal, empathy, and rapport. (3) These process is worry, appraisal, empathy, and rapport in the order. (4) The core category is the need of relation formation. The hospitalized patients have had need of relation formation with nurses. In order to satisfy this need, patients in the early of hospitalization had the worries to nurses, hospital environment, their children and themselves. The more patients have information about themselves, the more they have worries. In addition to, patients have general appraisal through the first impression or feeling to nurses. A time goes by, general appraisal has changed concrete appraisal. High educated group (above bachelor degree) have expressed concretely and variousely their needs. The patients who have empathy to nurses are content with nurses and form rapport to be shown frankly thier discontents. Therefore, patients' healing relation formation is the process of being filled up the need of relation formaton with Nurses. As mentioned above, researcher suggests that nurses need study nursing strategies to make earlier the last phase of the healing relation formation, rapport.

This article minutely examines functional appraisal process that focuses on not content but function in which the records are created. Taking everything into consideration, functional appraisal in electronic record environments constitutes consecutive process that is performed organically in pre-creation stage of records. Ultimately functional appraisal in electronic record environments is organic process selecting electronic records across phases of whole record management, which assure business context and recordness, and need to run organization and perform business.

A significant change in the ISO 15489-1:2016 is the appraisal of records becoming one of the key procedures in managing current records. In November 2018, ISO/TR 21946 (Information and Documentation - Appraisal for managing records) was published as the international standard for the appraisal of records, explaining the methodology for the application of the concepts and principles of appraisal in ISO 15489-1. As such, the concept of appraisal and the characteristics of the contents presented in these international standards were examined in this paper. In particular, the appraisal methodologies of ISO/TR 21946 and how it can be applied to the Korean records management environment were investigated by analyzing the appraisal process proposed in ISO/TR 21946 at each step and applying the process to Korean university cases. Moreover, this paper is expected to be the basis of improving the understanding of new international standards for the appraisal of records and finding ways to improve records management and appraisal systems in Korea.

With the revision of the Public Records Management Act in 2020, it has become possible to appraise long-term records more than 30 years old in the record center. However, there was no discussion on the appraisal process except for the revision of the Public Records Management Act. This study aimed to propose a process for appraisal of long-term records in the record center, focused on the roles and functions of the record center, archives, and central archives. To confirm the status and problems of the records appraisal process, we analyzed record management standards and interviewed 4 archivists who have been working as specialists for over 10 years. Based on the analysis results, the appraisal process for long-term records in the record center was redesigned in consideration of the functions and roles of the record center, archives, and central archives.

This paper is a general review contextualizing the state of the domestic health technology assessment. The aim of the paper is to present an overview of health technology assessment in Korea based on examining clinical efficacy as well as cost-benefit analysis, and to suggest the issue of appraisal based on social value. We have included a discussion of a major case study of the technology appraisal process of NICE (the National Institute for Clinical Excellence) in the UK. The review of the existing process of NICE shows that the appraisal both gives interest in health technology a sense of value perspective and raises methodological issues in terms of reliability. Details of the appraisal process and several guidelines for best practice have emerged. Suggestions are listed and their role in assessing is explained as a conclusion.

Unless the records appraisal system is properly overhauled, there is no future for public records management. This study aims to highlight challenging issues and present improvement tasks necessary for the readjustment of the public records appraisal system at the national level. First, public records appraisal policies are divided into five categories: i) statements on appraisal policy and selection criteria, ii) appraisal tools such as disposition authorities, iii) subject of appraising, iv) appraisal procedures, and v) responsibility and authority in appraisal and disposition process. Second, the domestic situation is identified for each category. Third, policies of the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada are compared, and implications are derived for each category. Fourth and last, the tasks for the readjustment of the public appraisal system are proposed based on these analyses.

The purpose of this study is to deduct appraisal elements of audio-visual records based on the characteristics of audio-visual records and to take on the relative importance of elements by public institution's archivist and National Archive of Korea's audio-visual specialist thereby to suggest appraisal elements of priority audio-visual records appraisal. Priority of the appraisal elements analysis alternatives for the deducted audio-visual appraisal elements using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) by public institution's archivist and National Archive of Korea's audio-visual specialist. As the results of AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process), 'context' was decides as the most important appraisal classes, and 'subject' was decides as the most important appraisal elements.

The interaction of emotion is an important factor in Human-Robot Interaction(HRI). This requires a contextual appraisal of emotion extracting the emotional information according to the events happened from past to present. In this paper an emotion appraisal system based on the cognitive context is presented. Firstly, a conventional emotion appraisal model is simplified to model a contextual emotion appraisal which defines the types of emotion appraisal, the target of the emotion induced from analyzing emotional verbs, and the transition of emotions in the context. We employ a language based cognitive system and its sentential memory and object descriptor to define the type and target of emotion and to evaluate the emotion varying with the process of time with the a priori emotional evaluation of targets. In a experimentation, we simulate the proposed emotion appraisal system with a scenario and show the feasibility of the system to HRI.

The Records Appraisal Review contains the processes and results of appraisal works for records. This study is an analysis of the 2018 Records Appraisal Review of 22 Local Education Offices where records managers were deployed. To ensure reliability of analyzing results, the analysis data preparation criteria were applied to maintain consistency in the analysis data preparation. Also, statistics by appraisal process and retention period were cross-checked. Through the analysis of the Records Appraisal Review identifies the actual condition for records appraisal. Based on this, the improvement measures that are applicable in practice were proposed in terms of records management of department, appraisal works of records manager and operation of Records Appraisal Review Commission.

This article shows a case of constructing appraisal system of manuscripts based on records of korean democratization movements. This appraisal system of manuscripts not only intends to select records according to value but also realizes a strategy that maximizes efficacy of resources for record management through distinction of record management process based on value of records. After all, this strategy provides manuscript repositories a beneficial benchmarking case of appraisal system of manuscripts which are confronting with disposing problem of enormous mount of records without original order, and are intending maximization of efficacy of resources for record management through distinction of record management process based on value of records.
