In copyright dispute on software, appraisal procedure is needed, which is regarded as an implementation of the right to fast trial. Considering that, in practice, there has been a long discussion of attempting to operate the software appraisal as a summary procedure. This was done usually by reducing the resources devoted to the summary procedure, however, this way inevitably makes difference in a result obtained through the procedure. Therefore, this research reviewed the previous operation of summary procedure in software appraisal, focusing on intrinsic nature of the summary procedure and role of software appraisal in the trial process.

The March 29, 2016, amendment to the Civil Procedure Act introduced changes to the appraisal procedures, including new obligations for appraisers, changes in the modes of appraiser testimony, and questioning of appraisers through video conferencing, with all seemingly aimed at procedurally addressing the issues with appraisal in the context of court proceedings. The changes introduced by the amendment also affect the appraisal procedures for copyrights. In light of the above, this article examines how the amendment to the Civil Procedure Act affects the appraisal procedures for copyrights. Specific issues covered by this paper include: appointment of additional appraisers, prohibition of delegated appraisal, operation of the multiple appraisal system, disclosure of participating experts, proximity of the appraiser system, and congruence of areas of expertise.

Appraisal format is the methods that is used to gether informations related to performance behaviors. Appraisal format has descriptive characteristics including evalustion dimensions, anchors, scales. The purpose of this paper is to study the effectiveness of a format characteristics of the appraisal results through literature review and to explore more approprate appraisal format through comparing three types of formats, graphic scales, BARS, BOS. According to the results, rating format's characteristics can affect the quality of appreisa results in that appraisal format can provide rators with evaluation standards which help raters to evaluate effectively. Specific dimensions are better than gernal one dimension. The effectiveness of scale in some degrees depends on development procedure. In general anchors are important to reduce rating errors and behavioral anchors are better than numeric anchors, The systematically developed BARS and BOS can reduce rating erros but graphic scales has limitstions.

The completeness appraisal of software is performed in various forms, such as assessing the completion level in the development process, calculating the defect rate, estimating the development cost, and calculating the redevelopment cost. Along with this, the problem that is often dealt with is estimation of the development time. Even in a dispute over completeness due to delays in software development, issues of calculating an appropriate development time required to develop a delivery software or a development time required for change requests are often included in the appraisal request. In this paper, we introduce the procedure and method for estimating the appropriate project time of software development so that the appraiser can be applied to the appraisal work for determining the completeness. The method is based on the manual for calculating the appropriate project period of software development project.

The selection of comparative standard parcels should be objective and reasonable, which is an important task in the individual land price appraisal procedure. However, the current procedure is mainly done manually by government officials. Therefore, the efficiency and objectiveness of this selection procedure is not guaranteed and questionable. In this study, we first defined the problem by analyzing the current comparative standard land parcel selection method. In addition, we devised a decision tree-based method using a machine learning algorithm that is considered to be efficient and objective compared to the current selection procedure. Finally the proposed method is then applied to the study area for evaluating the appropriateness and accuracy.

The study investigates peer rating, one of the most commonly used sources of performance rating other than those of supervisors. On the whole, both field and laboratory studies indicate that peer assessment is a valid and reliable evaluation procedure, but on average, peer rating is not usually accurate. The aim of the investigation is to explore the relationship of beliefs and attitude about the performance appraisal system as well as a dispositional characteristic as self-monitoring with rating behavior. In particular, the study tests whether the relationship between rating context variables-appraisal self efficacy and appraisal validity- and rating behavior depends in part on the personality of the rater. Data from 445 undergraduate students are analyzed for hypotheses testing. The study finds evidences that the high on appraisal self efficacy and appraisal validity are more likely to affect discriminating rating tendency and to reduce rating level. Results also show that self-monitoring make the moderating effects between contextual factors and rating behaviors. Some implications, future research directions, and limitations are discussed.

In this second part of series report on evidence-based dentistry, the level of evidence and the methods for critical appraisal are discussed. The epidemiologic studies, namely clinical studies have some bias per se, and the degree of bias is somewhat predetermined by the study design. The level of evidence can be defined as the reliability of the clinical study and it is dependent on the degree of bias. Thus, it is important to determine the type of the study and to understand its structure before critically appraising them. Systematic reviews of primary studies, randomized controlled trials, nonrandomized clinical trials, cohort studies, case-control studies, and case reports / series constitute the clinical studies and the level of evidence follows the order of the studies listed above. Critical appraisal is the most important procedure in evidence-based dentistry. It is done to determine the credibility of research papers and their usefulness in the clinician s own practice. Critical appraisal is consisted of multiple questions that are helpful for evaluating validity and usefulness of the studies concerning therapy, diagnosis, prognosis, and causation.

This paper analyzes the facility investment appraisal process of a real world shipyard and proposes several improving points. For this purpose the investment appraisal sheets are investigated in terms of the theory of the discounted cash flow (DCF) method. Through this investigation, the differences between the theory and its application are clarified and it is tried to resolve the gab by applying the DCF method appropriately including explicit use of actual cash flows in revenue and expense expressions. It is also proposed that some portion of the capital loss caused by defending facility sales may not be the sunk cost and that the portion can conceptually be calculated by the difference between economic value and sales price.

In this study we examine Taiwan's overall performance in accordance with sustainable construction by developing an appraisal indicator framework. The framework consists of five layers, from bottom to top: the indicator; the indicator category; the core cluster; the theme; and the overall performance. The procedure for the development of a sustainable construction indicator system is outlined. Finally, a framework consists of 3 themes, 10 core clusters, and 33 indicator categories are established. Following the established framework, 67 proper indicators are selected for each category in the framework, and data of the 53 indicators are collected respectively from a nation's statistical databank in Taiwan. Sustainable construction index aggregated step-by-step from the indicators, the indicator categories, the core clusters and the themes is computed to assess Taiwan's progress in sustainable construction. The preliminary results and the discussion are reported.

The purpose of this study is to provide balanced view for official documents of Seoul Olympic Organizing Committee and to establish theoretical base which assesses them in order to devise systematization of utilizing Olympic historical material. In order to conduct this study, archival appraisal and appraisal theories of archival study were investigated, and the characteristics of official documents of Seoul Olympic Organizing Committee were examined. Based on these works, criteria and procedure were established with exploring the methods to assess the Seoul Olympic official documents. The details are as follows below. The prior research task conducted in this study was to understand penetrative analysis for archival structure, relationship between this analysis and the assessment, and tendency of appraisal methods which have been developed. Then, representative theories and general criteria and procedure of archival appraisal have been explored in order to grasp the concrete method of individual theories. Secondly, characteristics of Seoul Olympic Organizing Committee's official documents have been identified to apply archival appraisal theories which have been found through the theoretical examination. Furthermore, suitable method has been explored, and the criteria and procedure have been presented in order to assess the official documents of Seoul Olympic Organizing Committee with generally considering of its characteristics. The significance of this study which came up with the study result above can be presented as follows. Based on the result of this study, it is assumed that the archival appraisal work for Seoul Olympic historical archives not only contributes to development of studies but also helps systematic usage and management of archives in sports field including Olympic by allowing the objective perception about them. Lastly, in order to develop sports history field and related studies, it is necessary to utilize archival theories for managing and using archives in sports field, and to precede the general and overall studies about it.
