  • This study demonstrates the applicability of the FLO-2D for the influence analysis of the debris flow on expressway. To do this, the behavior of debris flow on the expressway was reproduced by applying the FLO-2D to actual generated debris flow. The study area is a part of the Deokyusan Service Area on the Daejon-Jinju Expressway, where traffic was blocked for 24 hours due to the debris flow in August 2005. Geographical analysis with GIS, hydrological analysis with HEC-HMS, and estimation of the amount of debris flow were carried out using field survey and soil property test data. Then, the optimum parameter combination of FLO-2D was selected through the parameter sensitivity analysis, and the behavior analysis of debris flow on expressway was applied. The comparison of the predictions with the observations shows the availability of FLO-2D for the behavior analysis of debris flow on the expressway.

  • In this paper, an analysis results of towing force and towing points which are dominating factors to determine the behavior of towed ship are introduced. The towing force and towing points to achive the desired posture and its position of the towed vessel are derived based on simplified dynamics and linearization method. LQR algorithm for posture control is applied to linearized system and numerical simulation is also executed. Force based on COG(cneter of gravity) and gain of controller to achieve desired posture for target vessel are obtained by using Riccati matrix equation and pseudo inverse matrix is applied to analyze the relation between the derived force and its towing point. Based on this analysis method, towing force need to move the towed vessel from its initial position to target position can be calculated. The towing method including towing point and direction is also considered on this method. Finally, the relation between towing force and towing point is confirmed from the analysis and the results can be applied to arrangement of tug boats during salvage works.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of knowledge of dementia and attitude of dementia on preventive behavior of dementia in the elderly living alone. The subjects of this study were 101 elderly living alone in the community and data collection was from January 2 to 16, 2020. Data was analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 24.0 program by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression analysis. There was a positive correlation between preventive behavior of dementia(r=.42, p<.001). Exercise(β=-.26, p=003), subjective health status(β=.26, p=.003) and knowledge of dementia(β=.37, p<.001) were found to be factors influencing preventive behavior of dementia among the elderly living alone in the community. The results of this study suggest that it is necessary to develop some programs that include factors such as exercise, subjective health status and knowledge of dementia for preventive behavior of dementia.

  • The finite element method is applied to analyze the complicated behavior of reinforced concrete beams. The nonlineartiy in concrete and reinforcement steel has been considered. The effects of bond-slip and aggregate interlock have been also taken into account. It is found that realistic analysis requires those major nonlinearities to be included in the analysis.

  • Researches on spherical shell which is most usually applied have been completed by many investigators already and generalized numerical formula was derived. But the existent researches are limited to those on spherical shell with isotropic or orthotropic roof stiffness, periodic distribution of roof stiffness that can be caused by spherical and latticed roof system is not considered. Therefore, the object of this study is to develop a structural analysis program to analyze spherical shells that have periodicity of roof stiffness distribution caused by latticed roof of large space structure, grasp buckling characteristics and behavior of structure.

  • The headline of advertisements holds the important position in advertisement recognition and receptivity. The mobile advertisements show an immediate reaction of customers because it is possible to do 'one-to-one communication'. And this makes the mobile advertisement as important as any kind of traditional marketing channel, like TV, Radio, Print. In this paper, we classified the headlines as several types and measured the effect of headline types.

  • We obtain an asymptotic behavior of the loss probability for the GI/PH/1/K queue as K tends to infinity when the traffic intensity p is strictly less than one. It is shown that the loss probability tends to 0 at a geometric rate and that the decay rate is related to the matrix generating function describing the service completions during an interarrival time.

  • This paper treats the conditions for the existence of rotating wave solutions of a system modelling the behavior of students in graduate programs at neighbouring universities near each other which is a modified form of the model proposed by Scheurle and Seydel. We assume that both types of individuals are continuously distributed throughout a bounded two-dimension spatial domain of two types (circle and annulus), across whose boundaries there is no migration, and which simultaneously undergo simple (Fickian) diffusion. We will show that at a critical value of a system-parameter bifurcation takes place: a rotating wave solution arises.

  • As policy makers are often concerned about dynamic effects of demand behavior and its welfare analysis by quantity changes, the paper shows how dynamic price formation systems can be built up to analyze the effect of policy options to the markets dynamically. The paper develops dynamic model of price formation for fish from the intertemporal optimization of the consumer choice problem. While the resulting model has a similar form of the error correction types of dynamic price formation system, it provides the rational demand behavior contrary to the myopic behavior of error correction demand models. The paper also develops appropriate tools of dynamic welfare analysis in quantity space using only short-run demand estimates both theoretically and empirically as a first attempt in the literature of price formation and fisheries. The empirical results of Korean fish markets show that the dynamic model and the welfare measures are reasonably plausible. The methodology and theory of this research can be applied and extended to the commodity aggregation, dynamic demand estimation, and dynamic welfare effects of regulation in the similar framework. Thus, it is hoped that this will enhance its applications to the demand-side economics.
