Prediction of Settlement of Vertical Drainage-Reinforced Soft Clay Ground using Back-Analysis (역해석 기법에 근거한 수직배수재로 개량된 연약점토지반의 침하예측)

  • Observed field behaviors are frequently different from the behaviors predicted in the design state due to several uncertainties involved in soil properties, numerical modelling, and error of measuring system even though a sophisticated numerical analysis technique is applied to solve the consolidation behavior of drainage-installed soft deposits. In this study, genetic algorithms are applied to back-analyze the soil properties using the observed behavior of soft clay deposit composed of multi layers that shows complex consolidation characteristics. Utilizing the program, one might be able to appropriately predict the subsequent consolidation behavior from the measured data in an early stage of consolidation of multi layered soft deposits. Example analyses for drainage-installed multi-layered soft deposits are performed to examine the applicability of proposed back-analysis method.

Effect of Single Overload on the Fatigue Crack Growth Behavior of Laser Welded Sheet Metal (단일 과대하중에 의한 레이저 용접 판재의 피로균열 전파거동)

  • In this study, we investigated fatigue crack growth behavior of laser welded sheet metal due to a single overload. Fatigue specimens were made using butt joint of cold rolled sheet metal that was welded by $CO_2$ laser. The fatigue crack propagation tests were performed in such a way that fatigue loading was parallel to the weld line while crack propagation was perpendicular to the weld line. Single overload was applied when fatigue crack tip was arrived near the weld line. The distances between the crack tip and the weld line at which a single overload was applied were 6, 4 and 2mm. The effect of specimen thickness and overload ratio on the fatigue behavior was determined. The plastic zone size of crack tip due to the single overload was determined from the finite element analysis. For investigating fatigue crack growth behavior, we used different thickness specimen 0.9mm and 2.0mm, and variable overload ratio applied fatigue crack propagation test.   • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of emotional dissonance and service sabotage on skin experts who have experienced inappropriate customer behavior. To achieve the purpose of the study. 383 skin experts in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do were selected as the subjects of the study. As for the analysis method, frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed, and the following research results were derived through such research procedures. Inappropriate customer behavior showed a positive (+) correlation with emotional dissonance, and emotional suppression of emotional dissonance affects service sabotage.

Effects of Work Values and Career Adaptability on Job Preparation Behavior in Graduation Year Nursing Students (졸업학년 간호대학생의 직업가치관과 진로적응력이 취업준비행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is a descriptive survey research conducted to confirm the effects of work values and career adaptability on job preparation behavior in Graduation year nursing students. The subjects are 4th grade students who are attending two university nursing departments in city G and N, and data were collected from September to October 2023. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis and controlled regression analysis. The research results are as follows. Intrinsic values (β=-.127, p=.122) had not statistically a significant effect on job preparation behavior. Extrinsic values (β=.168, p<.001) and career adaptability (β=.415, p<.001) had statistically a significant positive effect on job preparation behavior. The variables predicting the job preparation behavior of nursing students were identified in the order of career adaptability and extrinsic values. The study model accounted for 35.5% of job preparation behavior. It suggests that strategies are needed to enhance the extrinsic values and career adaptability in order to promote job preparation behavior in nursing students. However, considering the nature of nursing and the sense of calling of nurses who perform nursing, we should not overlook the fact that the intrinsic values of nursing itself is also an important aspect that nursing students preparing to become future nurses must cultivate.

  • Using user monitoring techniques on web, marketing decision makers in cyber shopping malls can gather customer behavior data as well as sales transaction data and customer profiles. In this paper, we present a marketing rule extraction technique for customer behavior analysis in cyber shopping malls, The technique is an application of market basket analysis which is a representative data mining technique for extracting association rules. The market basket analysis technique is applied on a customer behavior log table, which provide association rules about web pages in a cyber shopping mall. The extracted association rules can be used for mall layout design, product packaging, web page link design, and product recommendation. A prototype cyber shopping mall with customer monitoring features and a customer behavior analysis algorithm is implemented using Java Web Server, Servlet, JDBC(Java Database Connectivity), and relational database on windows NT.

  • The purpose of this study was to empirically examine the effect of job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior on customer orientation to investigate the causal relationships among these variables. The questionnaires was administered to 121 fashion product employees of department stores in Gwang-ju city during February $10{\sim}15$, 2006. For analysis of data, frequency, factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA, regression analysis, and path analysis were applied. The results indicated that job satisfaction of employees significantly influenced customer orientation(p<0.001) and organizational citizenship behavior(p<0.001). The organizational citizenship behavior of employees significantly influenced customer orientation(p<0.001). The job satisfaction had both direct and indirect effects on customer orientation mediated by organizational citizenship behavior.

Examining the Relationship among Organizational Justice, Athlete Satisfaction, Team Commitment, and Organizational Citizenship Behavior in College Athletes

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relationship among organizational justice, athlete satisfaction, team commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior toward college athletes. To achieve this purpose, this study employed a convenience sampling method via a questionnaire dissemination. A total of 285 responses were collected from college athletes. Among those, 21 responses were excluded as they were not completed, leaving 264 usable data. The data was computed in SPSS 28.0 and AMOS 28.0, and analyzed with correlation analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling analysis. Overall, organizational justice had a positive influence on athlete satisfaction, team commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior. Athlete satisfaction had a positive influence on team commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. However, there was no relationship between team commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. These findings provided empirical foundational data on the impact of organizational justice on psychological and behavioral outcomes and the overall efficiency and effectiveness of organizations, with a focus on college athletes who played a central role in the context of college sports setting.

Study of Experimental and Numerical Analysis on Behavior Characteristics of Emulsified Fuel (에멀젼연료 거동특성에 관한 실험 및 수치해석 연구)

  • Diesel engines with compression-ignition type have superior thermal efficiency, durability and reliability compared to gasoline engine. To control emitted gas from the engines, it can be applied to alternative fuel without any modification to the engine. Therefore, in this study, as a basic study for applying emulsified fuel to the actual diesel engine, analysis of spray behavior characteristics of emulsified fuel was carried out simultaneously by experimental and numerical method. The emulsified fuel consist of diesel, hydrogen peroxide, and surfactant. The surfactant for manufacturing emulsified fuel is comprised of span 80 and tween 80 mixed as 9:1 and fixed with 3% of the total volume of the emulsified fuel. In addition, six kinds of emulsified fuel(EF0, EF2, EF12, EF22, EF32, and EF42) were manufactured according to the mixing ratio of hydrogen peroxide. The droplet and spray experiments were performed to observe the behavior characteristics of the emulsified fuel. The numerical analysis was carried out using ANSYS CFX to confirm the microscopic behavior characteristics. Consequently, rapid mixture formation can be expected due to evaporation of hydrogen peroxide in emulsified fuel, and it is confirmed that Reitz&Diwakar breakup model is most suitable as breakup model to be applied to the numerical analysis.

3-D Behavior and Strut-and-Tie Model Analysis of Diaphragm in PSC Train Bridge (PSC철도교량 격벽부의 3차원 거동 및 스트럿-타이 모델 해석)

  • The function of diaphragms at abutments and piers of prestressed concrete (PSC) box girder train bridge is to transfer forces from the superstructure onto bearings or column and to stiffen the superstructure cross-section against in-plane deformation. Due to large stress disturbance at diaphragm, the design for the diaphragm using conventional design method is relatively irrational than designs for other structual members. And, due to contribution to boundary condition of deck slab by the diaphragm, the behavior of deck slab near the diaphragm is different from behavior of the deck slab obtained from two dimensional analysis of the bridge, which is basis far the design of deck slab. In this paper, three dimensional behavior of deck slab near diaphragm of PSC box girder train bridge constructed by the precast span method are analyzed by using three dimensional finite element modeling. Then, strut-and-tie model is applied to design the diaphragm of PSC box girder train bridge. The modeling techniques in this paper can be applied effectively to examine the causes of cracks at deck slab near diaphragm and to design diaphragm rationally.
